« We booked this property for a one-week family vacation, and unfortunately our experience did not meet our expectations.The property is located almost 5 km from the main road on a very rough, unpaved road. An SUV is highly recommended to access the property comfortably. This difficult access was not clearly communicated before arrival. « Buena vista is about 30 minutes from bacalar town so not an ideal location. The house is remote and in the jungle , very rough terrain getting in there Read all the small print , the house is only enclosed from the elements in the 2 bedrooms , the rest ( which is essentially just a tiny outdoor kitchen , no living room at all ) is totally open to the elements and the MOSQUITOES!!! We arrived to check in and were eaten alive in 5 minutes. There were also many wasps , a few in the bedroom. We left...

« Jesus and his family provide a wonderful house and attentive service. It was a pleasure staying there. It is very secure (once we figured out the Mexican door locks lol), clean, and very well appointed. The backyard pool was great during the hot afternoons. Having the patio alongside with a mini fridge, etc was a big plus. The attention to detail was noted like snacks and other starter supplies upon arrival and fresh flowers throughout.
