« We never got a true confirmation or check in information for this property. When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). We eventually was reimbursed but we had to scramble to find a new place late a night on our own. »

« Buena vista is about 30 minutes from bacalar town so not an ideal location. The house is remote and in the jungle , very rough terrain getting in there Read all the small print , the house is only enclosed from the elements in the 2 bedrooms , the rest ( which is essentially just a tiny outdoor kitchen , no living room at all ) is totally open to the elements and the MOSQUITOES!!! We arrived to check in and were eaten alive in 5 minutes. There were also many wasps , a few in the bedroom. We left...

« Jesus and his family provide a wonderful house and attentive service. It was a pleasure staying there. It is very secure (once we figured out the Mexican door locks lol), clean, and very well appointed. The backyard pool was great during the hot afternoons. Having the patio alongside with a mini fridge, etc was a big plus. The attention to detail was noted like snacks and other starter supplies upon arrival and fresh flowers throughout. Highly recommended. Thank you Jesus and family. »

« Casona Palms is a beautiful well appointed home in a special place. The hosts have put plenty of thought and care into their guests experience. From the moment I was in touch with Julie, the host, prior to completing the booking she very easy to communicate with.Julie went above and beyond during our stay. She immediately ordered us a stainless steel pan when we let her know one of the non stick cookware pans was scratched. Julie even ordered a Christmas tree and decorations for our daughters...
