« I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

« We had a lovely room with a sea view and lots of space and seating for our 3-day break. The staff were great and helpful when needed. However the whole place is looking a bit tired and in need of sprucing up. This did not detract from our stay and is reflected in the good rate we paid. We would certainly consider staying again . »

« Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too. »

« Very clean and well equipped. WiFi signal not very strong. We would stay again but only if the mattress was replaced for a better quality or given a decent topper. It was extremely uncomfortable and affected getting a good night's sleep. There were several comments in the guest book in the property, going back a while that mentioned the uncomfortable mattress, so the owners should be aware. »

« The room was clean but needs updating , the window would not shut and the wind was whistling through the window , reception there was a bell on the wall pressed that quiet a few times no body came , saw other guests and asked them there was a ring doorbell type round the corner spoke to a chap he told what for key safe but because quite def couldn’t understand him finally got to my room after about 1 hr , the only good thing I can say the location good »

« Upon arrival the place was tidy & clean, the location of the property is great. The owners were friendly. I had to message a couple of times and they responded nice & quick. The butchers on site was lovely ! The BBQ provided was a bonus & the hot tub was brilliant. The extra £50 charge seems a little excessive and I’ve never experienced this before, it’s usually all in. « Great stay as a solo traveller. The room was lovely and just the right size, well-equipped and with a beautiful sea view. The food was good with plenty of choice and the evening entertainment was a highlight. I checked in online beforehand but still had to queue for quite a while on arrival, which could have been better organised. Overall though, a brilliant first stay and I’d return. »
