Work Meetings
We had 12 guys stay at the property with plenty of room. The place was great, the kitchen is amazing. Can’t wait to stay again in the summer time!!

We call ourselves “The Old Timers Elk River Wrestling Extravaganza” group!!!!
We were a group of 18… had planned for 20, but 2 backed out staying overnights. WE….LOVED….THIS…PLACE!!! It was warm, cozy, comfy, accommodating, roomy, clean… we really can’t say enough!!! Highly Highly recommend!! There are a few of us that want to bring other groups back ( our own (families) ❤️ And this doesn’t even mention how sweet and wonderful Tammy is ❤️ THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR VRBO!!!

Low key weekend
The accommodations and layout of the property were perfect for a bunch of friends to hang out. The industrial kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, utensils, and plenty of dishware. It was nice to walk around the property, play yard games, and sit around the fire. All-in-all it was just what we needed for a low key but fun weekend.

Wonderful Place!!
This place is perfect for a large group stay! Plenty of room to sleep! And lots of bathrooms so there's no waiting. It was so clean and we had everything we needed there, and lots of yard for any games. Tammy is wonderful to work with! I also loved that they had cute merchandise to purchase there, it was a great touch! Definitely recommend this Cabin in the Woods!

Amazing family stay
Our family had a blast during our stay at Mille Lacs Lodge! The kids and adults all enjoyed the spacious lodge and outdoor areas. Memories were made making s’mores around the campfire, playing volleyball, cooking meals together in the kitchen, and playing wiffleball in the large outdoor space. Tammy (the owner) was very responsive to all of our questions and quick to provide help when needed. We loved our time there and highly recommend it!

Annual Family Summer Vacation Year 7
Exceptional family vacation in Minnesota. Everyone was thrilled with their time spent at Tammy's Millie Lac Lodge. A kitchen that has it all with a cooler that holds anything you need to keep cool and a freezer that let us get all the Ice Cream the Grandchildren could eat. So much fun! Campfires every night, a playground and outdoor shelter with plenty of room for fun meals outside. No insect bites was a huge accomplishment and we will brag about that for years to come. (There is a magic at Millie Lac Lodge that will always be in our hearts and memories. Grandpa loved his vacation and was given the opportunity to enjoy 12 wonderful Grandchildren and family from five states.

Home away from home.
We were very happy with our stay. The property had everything we needed. It was clean and spacious. There was a gas station near by if we ever ran out of anything, and state parks were close too for out door activities. Really recommend this property to others.

Beautiful and very comfortable place for a large family.
This was a beautiful property and it accommodated our big family very well. Lots of things to do indoors and outdoors. The host was amazing and responded quickly. Lots of things were provided and available for our usage. We will definitely be back!

We're very impressed with the kitchen set up. Plenty of room for all our refrigerator and freezer needs. The gas stove accomodated many cooks at the same time. Pool table was a hit with everyone. The grounds were amazing where we roasted many marshmallows and did a lot of hiking. We spotted the infamous albino deer. There were many beds to pick from and a lot of games were played both indoors and out Playground was enjoyed the grandkids. A very peaceful landing spot.

Everything was as good as the pictures. Kitchen was a delight to use for a gathering of 20 people. Fun things to do for all ages, indoor and out. Everything was clean, working and in good repair. The place felt spacious. Host was attentive and helpful.

WONDERFUL place to stay
I would give this place a rating of 11 with 10 being the highest rating!!! Tammy was wonderful to have as our host. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. All was SO WELL supplied that we had NOTHING that wasn't available for anything we needed. The comfortable spaces indoors as well as the large lawns and play equipment outside made this the perfect place for our family reunion, from our college age granddaughter to our one year old! Did I forget to mention the great setting for the bonfire which we enjoyed one night? Our kids have all told us that it was a perfect setting for all being together, as well as each family having their own rooms. It was awesome! I would HIGHLY recommend A Place in the Woods for any group.

Great for large groups
We rented Mille Lacs Lodge fir a large family get together. The house was clean, grounds were well maintained and the property could easily accommodate a group our size (16). Tammy was responsive and easy to reach. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a venue that can handle a large grill up of all ages.

Great place for family reunion
18 women ages 6-69 spent 4 nights here, and would again. It was unbelievably supplied, not only with kitchen items for both cooking and serving, but with a wide variety of things to ensure our fun: volleyball net, balls of all sorts, playground equipment, fire ring with lots of chairs - and even toasting forks! - board games, many tables of different sizes which we put to good use for crafts, jigsaw puzzles, games, eating, etc., pool table, and on and on. The rooms were big, there were plenty of bathrooms, and everybody had a bed! Communication with our hostess was easy and prompt. Wonderful facility!

Great time at the Mille Lacs Lodge. Was a fun time there and hosted our group great. Kitchen was a fun bonus to have for feeding our group. Loved that a lot of games were already there to keep us busy. Would definitely return.

Combined Bachelor/ette Party Weekend
My fiancée and I wanted a large space to accommodate our entire wedding party and their significant others, and this lodge was perfect! The kitchen was spacious and easy to use, and the great room allowed us to all gather together when we wanted to, but there were enough nooks (like the pool table area) where we could split up into smaller groups, as well. We also loved how much space there was outside, and it was great that firewood was included for an easy bonfire! My only caveat is that the tap water, though potable, is a bit sulfuric in smell. So if you're put off by that, bring some drinking water. (It didn't produce any off-flavors in our cooking, however.) All in all, though, staying here was a fantastic experience. We just checked out this morning and I'm missing the place already.

Great place for groups!
We had an amazing weekend at the lodge with a group of friends and family to surprise my husband for his 40th bday! Plenty of room for 20 of us. A couple people even brought tents to sleep outside. We set up yard games in the yard, had a bonfire at night and played pool up in the loft! Tammy the owner was awesome and responded quickly with questions. The lodge was very clean and beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Group Party Old Friends
We had 18 longtime friends come up and get together this past weekend. This cabin was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room indoors and out, rain or shine. Well appointed and clean. Had everything you need. Scratch cooking for a huge group was easy thanks to the large kitchen, refrigerator and dining space. Would highly recommend.

Annual gathering
Awesome property, the pictures don’t show how truly beautiful and well appointed this place is. Been trying different spots for our gathering for years and think we have found our new home. Really nice bedding/towels and furniture made it feel like home. Everything you could need for cooking and cleaning and dining provided. Seriously the best place we have found. Thanks Tammy !

Pure Perfection
Can't say enough about how perfect this property is. Held a small reunion with high school and college friends. Amazing kitchen, plenty of rooms and beds, and so much space for games indoor and out. Will definitely be back.

beautiful, clean, and peaceful
The lodge is gorgeous, very clean, and very well-stocked. The property is also gorgeous and nicely private, with plenty of outdoor toys to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. The owner was super helpful and responsive. We were already talking about going back next year before we left!

Tons of space for 10 adults and 5 children. We played indoor and outdoor games. We hooked up Disney+ and had plenty of room for movie nights in the main livingroom. We took turns for cooking supper and ate outside at the covered picnic tables. Made lunches to take to the beach 4 of the 6 full days and didn't run into each other while moving about. Beautiful landscape and play area for kids. Town was close by for multiple trips to the store.

We had the best time in this lodge! We had a large group of all our friends from college come up and stay for 3 nights. We now all children, 6 years old to 5 months old and everyone had a blast. The property is clean, beautiful, accommodating and fun to enjoy for all ages.

We rented the property for the Memorial weekend for our group. The place is very nice, clean and private. It has everything you need for your stay. Tammy, the owner, is super friendly and very responsive to your call or your message if you have any questions . Family Thanksgiving
As a family we wanted a place where there was plenty of room to be together and enjoy our Thanksgiving. The large kitchen was great for fixing a large meal and all being able to sit down together at one table. There was plenty of space so if the children wanted to spend time together without the adults they could. We will share our experience with everyone we know. It is the perfect place for a large group.

Spacious place for the entire family
Huge place equipped with everything including the volleyball net, playground and firepit. Secluded yet intimate for our family. Close to alot of amenities. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Great place to stay
We had a family reunion with 18 people stay. It was fantastic. Tammy was so nice and easy to work with. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out together but enough space to break away if needed. Only about 20 min from the lake where you can swim, rent boats, etc. I highly recommend this place and we are already talking about booking for next year.

The Lodge is truly a great place for a family reunion. Both inside and out there is plenty of room to spread out. We plan on making more play areas for the kids in the near future. Thank you for staying at my place and considering it again for your next getaway.

Serene, spacious, and relaxing lodge
We booked a last minute stay here and are so glad we did. It's a gem and the pictures don't do it any justice. Tons of space for the kids to run around both inside and out. Love the spacious kitchen and it's so nicely stocked. We'll definitely share this place with everyone we know and can't wait to be back. Tammy was also a gracious host! Khrystie and her family were great guests. Although the weather wasn't the greatest for being outside the whole time, the inside is large enough to accommodate a large family. Thank you for choosing the lodge for your family gathering.
