Perfect Old Saybrook Cottage
This was a perfect house near the water. Friends dined with us on 2 occasions. The house was equiped with everything needed for preparing dinner. Instant hot water in the shower! We will be back!

Travels With My Dog
The dog yard was a hit with our pup. Great neighborhood for walks. Enjoyed ourselves despite the rain, which fell on the nuptials we celebrated. Great place for anything!

Fun beach cottage
We had a great stay in this very cute and cozy beach cottage. Our 2 dogs loved the fenced in back yard and made us throw a ball for several hours over our 3 night stay! The location is great with only a few steps to the beach and close to town for anything you may need. The kitchen was very well stocked and the washer and dryer were a nice bonus! The hosts were very accommodating when we requested an early check-in and were very responsive. We will definitely stay again.

Weekend Stay
What a cute little piece of heaven! My husband and I visited for the weekend for our anniversary and it was such an amazing weekend. BONUS…perfect for our two pups too!! The house is on a quiet street (no barking dogs to stir them up) and they have the perfect fenced in yard so the dogs can run around freely. The house is so close to so many things (downtown is like 4 minutes away). We ate dinner at Liv’s and saw a show at The Kate, both amazing! The beach unfortunately isn’t dog friendly but when it’s low tide you can walk out with the dogs on the sand bars (I would recommend some floaties and water shoes, one point it was pretty deep and the sand is squishy and shelly). We had a great weekend!

Local Little Getaway
My family of 6 plus 1 dog stayed for a week. We loved the cottage, it was cute, cozy & clean. YouTube video is exactly how it is, if anything we thought it was bigger than pics. We ended up using the sleeper sofa and brought a queen size air mattress which fit perfectly in the bedroom. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. A perfect walking neighborhood. Lots of shopping, restaurants & grocery stores nearby. The only con we had was the beach at the end of the road was very very small and not water you would want to swim in. If just wanna sit at beach it would be fine. We ended up driving to Soundview in Old Lyme everyday which was a very short drive away. Maybe 10-15min. (Which we didn’t mind doing). I definitely would recommend this place for others and will keep this listing for future renting despite the beach at the end of the road.

Month stay at cottage falls short.
Rented for a month. Place was filthy. At least 10 photos were sent to the owner who showed up to remedy the problems and suggested a deep clean which was done. Deep clean should be done after each stay esp if pets are involved. Cleaning supplies were almost none existent. Was scolded via email for requesting trash can liners and bathroom spray. Owners stated they provide only 1 weeks worth of dry supplies. Should not have to buy or bring cleaning supplies to a rental. Left on day 14 as family members began to have allergy/ respiratory issues and did not return. I'm sure lessons were learned re: this rental for all parties involved. Cottage was advertised as newly renovated. I see that the write up was changed to read new furnishings and re painted.

Elaine sent her first list of cleaning requests 3 days after her stay started, and requested a full refund for her month long stay. Many of the items she requested were immediately available in our owners closet, which she was able to access the entire time of her stay. We immediately refunded 2.5 times her cleaning fee, and the manager of our cleaning company went to the property herself. At Elaine’s request they performed 2 deep cleaning items that are typically done twice per year (incl cleaning of the dryer hose). Our listing clearly states that pets are allowed and that extra cleaning occurs after every pet stay, which we confirmed with the cleaning company had been done. We went to the property immediately ourselves as well to address the requests that the cleaning company could not. Many of the items she requested were very personal in nature (bathroom spray, olive oil) and not what we provide normally and we had those and 2 additional Amazon deliveries made the property to make Elaine’s stay more comfortable. When we visited the house, Elaine told us that all of her requests had been satisfied. She had originally stated she was bringing a cat with her, which she did not do, and that fee was refunded as well. We would not recommend any other hosts welcome Elaine and her family.

Vacation
Me and my two adult nieces and our little Schnauzer doggie enjoy our vacation in old Saybrook, Ct very much. The cottage was perfect for the three of us, spacious, clean and accessible to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The backyard was perfect for the doggie to run and get exercise after a long car ride. The only disappointment was the beach, it is many steps to the beach and very small and the dog was not allowed. I would stay again if I wasn’t planning on going to the beach.

Quick change of scenery to end school year
Wanted to get away to celebrate the end of school but stay close enough to get teenagers to work. This was perfect. Really appreciate being able to take the dog with us.

Quiet Serenity
This small cottage has recently been renovated and is an open concept design with an abundance of windows which create a bright and airy place. One bedroom with additional sleeping options in the living room on a pullout couch or futon. The kitchen had the basic supplies you would need if cooking a meal. The bathroom had ample room with a nice shower and a washer/dryer. The fenced in backyard allows for privacy and a safe place for your dog. The gas grill was clean and appears to be fairly new. Many connecting quiet streets allow for great walking and biking through safe neighborhoods. Many of the beaches within walking distance are very small but there are larger public beaches about 20 minutes in either direction. It was a great size for 2 adults but I think it would be overcrowded with the 6 it advertises for.

Sweet spot
We needed a quiet space to cater our daughter’s surprise birthday in the next town. This little cottage is on a quiet lane with the ocean at the end of the lane. The house had all we needed. The back yard has a place to sit and soak up the sunshine, and would be great with little kids. As it is fenced in. Thank you !

Great place to stay!
Excellent cottage in a great area of Old Saybrook. We lived in OS for over 30 years and came home to see our family and were not disappointed. It was like being home again. The cottage was warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in town!!

A happy holiday stay
The cottage is well equipped and spacious. There was plenty of seating for our family holiday get together and for our 2 dogs and their crates. The yard is pet safe and the neighborhood is great for walking. The YouTube video explains pretty much everything. Also, we were there for some very cold weather so also have to give the heating system 5 stars!!

Great Stay in Saybrook Manor
The cottage at Saybrook Manor is a great place to stay. Everything is new and well organized/thought out. The kitchen is well appointed, the bed is comfy and the bathroom well supplied with toiletries, towels and washer/dryer. The beach at the end of the lane has beautiful views. When I stayed there in December it was way too cold to spend time there, but in the summer it looks like it’d be an ideal spot to take a dip and soak up some sun. Highly recommended.

Exactly as expected!
Overall this was a great little house and exactly as expected! Short walk to a small beach, great little backyard that was very helpful and allowed us to sit outside with our dogs off the leash. I'm always weary about someone else's backyard, but it was safe and clean. The house itself was very clean and had everything we could have needed. We really enjoyed the area. Great grocery store nearby and neat little downtown area that we visited for a quick breakfast. It does technically have a pull out couch and futon, but may be suitable for small kids or teens vs adults (it would be a little tight with 6 adults in the house). The neighborhood felt very safe and had a very friendly vibe. The house was very clean, you can tell the cleaning team took care in making sure everything was sanitized and clean for us.

Fabulous Stay!
The house was exactly what was described. It was very clean, cozy, and filled with additional amenities that made our stay feel like home. The house was so convenient and in a great beach community with just a short walk to the beach. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog to enjoy playing ball and running. All in all a great little treasure in a wonderful place. We loved it!

Our experience was fantastic. Very clean upon arrival. Newly renovated interior. Short walking distance to beach (5 minutes max at a leisurely pace). Close to a couple of great restaurants. Would definitely recommend. We will be back next year.

Cozy cottage
The cottage was clean, furniture in very good shape and the kitchen had the basics. While it sleeps 6, I would say it is better suited for 2-4. There was a charcoal grill and the fenced in yard is great for a pet. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and extra towels.

Lovely Beach House
My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful, comfortable place. The location was great with a scenic, quiet beach so close. People were very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the mini golf by the shore and the carousel in Old Lyme. So many wonderful places to eat nearby. Many wonderful memories were made at this wonderful spot.

Beautifully renovated cottage. The location is great if you want to go to the beach everyday. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood too. Surprisingly very quiet area. No grill for outdoor cooking though and not much provided if you want to cook indoors either.

Amazing stay
We rented this adorable property while waiting to close on our home. We were moving long distance and need a place to stay for a week that accepted small dogs. This place was perfect for my husband, daughter, pups, and me. It was comfy and clean and steps from the water. It really helped us feel at home in our new place of residency. We highly recommend this sweet little vacation spot. I wish we got to enjoy it in the summer, but it was still quiet and peaceful in the winter. Thank you for the stay.

Great Beach House!
Great LOCATION!! There's so much to do here - Beach, relaxing, dining, & shopping. Everything is so clean, comfy, and well decorated. They even had a Lobster pot! This adorable place is a Must stay! Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back soon!!
