Well located between Old Bagan and Nyaung-U, Umbra Hotel is a very pleasant hotel with a beautiful swimming pool and access to an old Bagan temple. Our room was ok and clean, although a little noisy. The breakfast buffet was good and very varied. To be recommended !

Un des plus beaux hôtels de bagan
Vue et piscine extraordinaire sur une stupa avec un bel éclairage Service au top Situation idéal, scooter en face, pressing à gauche et Resto à 100m (le queen est top si vous en avez marre du riz !!!) Les chambres standard sont basique et un peu vieillissantes donc problème avec notre porte pas étanches (bruit, lumière et chaleur) Mais la direction nous a fait le nécessaire très rapidement Il est pour Bagan et très bel hôtel avec un prix imbattable

Bel établissement avec superbe piscine et petit déjeuner bien garni. Par contre chambre standard franchement pas confortable surtout pour 3 adultes. Heureusement que les prestation de l'hôtel sont bonnes(piscine,petit déjeuner,parc)

Hôtel au top!!
Tres bon hôtel aux prestations irréprochables... belles piscines, tres beau cadre et bon petit déj!! Je recommande cet hôtel pour découvrir Bagan et ses temples. Il est tres bien situé !! Possibilité de louer des scooters électriques juste en face de l'hôtel à 8000 kyats la journee!! Cest top!!

Hotel bien situé
Chambre 205 semble située dans la partie ancienne de l'hôtel. La chambre et surtout la salle de bains sont vétustes. En revanche, les chambres situées sur la gauche et donnant sur la piscine semble plus récente. Calme et reposant. Le restaurant, ouvert le soir, au bord de la piscine, constitue un cadre agréable, spectacle. Menu ou à la carte avec un choix varié. Situé entre Old Bagan et Nyaung, location de vélo, scooter électrique, calèche et autres gargotes pour boire un verre ou dîner sur le pouce en sortant de l'hôtel.

Bel Hotel jardin piscine, éviter chambres standard
Bel hotel avec un joli jardin et une piscine très agréable. Par contre les chambres standard ne valent pas la peine et des pigeons nichent dans le toit !!! Réservez une chambre deluxe sinon ça ne vaut pas la peine...

Bel hotel
Nous sommes restées 6 nuits dans cet hotel très confortable (chambre deluxe). La grande piscine est fraîche mais très agréable (nous n'avons pas testé la deuxième), le petit déjeuner buffet est tres complet, et tout le personnel est accueillant. Juste en dehors de l'hôtel nous avons trouvé des vélos à louer, des calèches et des scooters. Et pour dîner le soir, il y a quelques restaurants juste à côté (mais qui sont vite bondés). Le seul point négatif de cet hotel est l'animation nocturne : entre 19 et 22 heures il y a soit un spectacle "culturel" (marionnettes et danses), soit un chanteur unplugged.

Pas facile de choisir un hôtel à Bagan en connaissant l'étendue du site. Si on est proche du Old Bagan on est aussi complètement à l'opposé de Nyaung Oo. Du coup cet hôtel est un bon compromis puisque situé à égale distance des 2 ( quand même 2km de Nyaung Oo pour aller dans divers restaurants le soir, mais tout à fait faisable à pied). A cet période de l'année (juillet) nous n'avons pas eu à subir l'affluence estivale habituelle. La chambre manquait d'éclairage, une planche en guise de sommier, le petit déjeuner se fait dans grande salle pas chaleureuse du tout. Seulement 3 ou 4 chaines asiatiques sur la télé. J'ai personnellement oublié un sac dans le car qui nous a amené depuis Mandalay, et je n'ai pas manqué de solliciter l'accueil à ce sujet. Ceux-ci ont fait leur maximum et j'ai ainsi pu récupéré mon sac intact.

Déconseillé sauf si vous prenez les chambres luxes
Voyage effectué en janvier 2015. L'annonce est une arnaque, on nous présente de superbes chambres sur le site mais celles ci ne sont pas celles qui sont vendues par l’hôtel. Une toute petite partie est refaite et les chambres y sont vendues très cher. Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés dans une chambre moyenne avec des trous dans les murs. C'est sympa du coup d'avoir la visite de toutes les bestioles du coin ! Le plus inadmissible c'est quand le réceptionniste se moque allégrement de vous... Et que la directrice est incapable de s'excuser pour le comportement de son employé. Je voyage beaucoup et je n'ai jamais vu, surtout en Birmanie (Myanmar)des hôteliers aussi mal traiter leurs clients. Il n'y a que l'argent qui compte, je refuse de payer pour un sourire ou de la politesse. La piscine était froide mais magnifique, ça fait du bien après les visites. Le petit déjeuner est varié et de bonne qualité. Je vous conseille de payer moins cher pour un meilleur service et accueil dans les dizaines d'autres hôtels à côté qui ne sont pas forcement sur internet mais visitables sur place.

Wunderbares, freundliches Servicepersonal. Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmäßig. Der Tresor befindet sich an der Rezeption. Das Frühstück wird im Nebengebäude serviert- ausreichend und schöne Auswahl für europäische und asiatische Gaumen. Highlight war die Garten- und Poolanlage. Riesiger Pool mit Blick auf die hoteleigene Stupa. Es gibt sogar noch einen 2. Pool. Auch dinner im Hotel sowie die Smoothies von der Bar sind zu empfehlen. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Danke für die schönen Tage. Tipp: wer nicht wegen der Heißluftballons aus dem Bett will, sieht diese auch zur Frühstückszeit hinter der Stupa direkt an der Straße (gegenüber ATM, siehe Foto)

A very pleasant stay
Excellent location just north of Bagan. Just a short walk to the Hot Air Ballooning ticket office. Peaceful location - and a great swimming pool with an infinity drop facing a stupa. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and food very good with local Burmese dancing every night. Hotel is highly recommended.

ニャウンウとオールドバガンの間に位置し、観光するのに便利な立地でした。 ホテル受付での対応は「こなす」という感じなので、心を込めたサービスなどは期待しない方が良いです。 ただ、部屋やホテル自体は、掃除もされており清潔だったため、快適に過ごすことができました。 一番下のクラスの部屋でしたが、部屋にはバスタブがありません。上のクラスがあるためか、ホテル内のレストランや朝食（ビュッフェスタイル）は、わりと豪華です。 ホテルでもEbikeをレンタルできますが、通りを挟んだEbikeショップでは、1日8,000チャットでレンタルできました。 歩いていけるレストランは、サービスがよく、味も美味しかったです！

この価格でプチリゾート感覚に浸れるのはお買い得です。3日滞在しましたが、毎朝の朝食の内容は違っていて飽きさせません。オープンテラス席で朝からステキな雰囲気で始められます。夕食はホテルで食べてもそんなに驚く価格ではありません。私はピザを頼んでみましたが、一番高いので10ドルです。ボリュームもあり、とても美味しかったです。カクテルは一杯3ドルでした。周囲には徒歩圏内に多様なグレードのレストランがいくつかあり、値段相応の質で悪くはなかったです。マッサージ店も1箇所あり、60分1100円くらいで上手でした。プチリッチなホテルのため、いつもタクシーやトュクトュクが2、3台は待機しているし、電気スクーター貸出しの店も向かい側にあるしで、全く不便はありません。ニャンウーの船着き場からは歩いても1時間くらいですが、さすがにタクシーなどを使った方が良いです。タクシーやトュクトュクとの値段交渉も可愛い上乗せ提示くらいの範囲内で総じてどのタクシーを使おうと過度にボッタくられると心配する必要はありません。1回は「まけて」と言ってみて後はその時の気分や状況次第で楽しむ感覚で良いと思います。ポッパさんにも13時過ぎに待機のトュクトュクに「行ってくれる？」と聞いてみたら、「え、今から？」と一瞬驚かれましたが快くOKとの回答でした。往復5時間くらいで2500円くらいかな。総じて全く問題なく、次の機会があればまたここに泊まると思います。

シャワーの流量が少なく、湯量の調節も全くできなかった。流量は緩い流れが殆どでした。お湯の温度も水と調節したが、すぐ水の出に左右され、熱湯が出たと思ったら、今度はミスに近いシャワーになったりして安定したことはありませんでした。

Schöne Hotelanlage mit eigenem Tempel
Etwas ausserhalb, die meisten Restaurant sind nach einem etwas längeren Fussmarsch erreichbar. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön, mit Pool, Garten und eigenem Tempel. Da das Hotel eine gute Qualität hat, sind auch viele ausländische Ballonpiloten dort langzeitig stationiert.

Situated in Old Bagan this hotel provides an excellent location to base yourself. We stayed 5 nights in a grand deluxe room overlooking the pool. These are the best rooms and worth every dollar. Try eating in the hotel, the meals are reasonably priced and tasty.

Great breakfast, beautiful grounds
The hotel is very comfortable and well located close to the temples. The grounds were well kept and looked really nice. The food at the restaurant and at breakfast was wonderful and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, but unfortunately no ventilation so the bathroom was damp all night. The staff were all great and really friendly. The negative side was when we rented the e-bikes from the hotel, we were suddenly quoted 50% extra since we (2 peope) were going to ride on the same bike. There really was no reason for that. Another issue we came against often during our trip, was the price of local transport. Having taken taxis in Yangon and knowing the cost of rides, the prices that we were charged in Bagan for an hour's taxi ride were 5-6x the price for the corresponding time in Yangon. It's not necessarily the hotel's fault, they probably have no way around the issue and the prices are controlled by the local 'cartel'. Something to be aware of.

Gardens very beautiful. Staff provided good service. Only downside was bathroom in room. We stayed here n deluxe room 404. Shower combined with toilet and sink. Shower drain extremely slow. One inch of water on floor after normal shower. Took few hours to drain and dry. Smell results. Really needs fixing.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, shady, clean, with a very wide area. Breakfast has a lot to choose from and delicious. The staff did not give me the right advice. For the process of booking a bus to return to Mandalay Causing me to hire a taxi myself Which is very expensive and I have to pay myself all.

The staff is extremely helpful. they helped us to arrange the bike rental and allow us to pick it up around 5:30 am for sunrise. The hotel is a resort. It has beautiful setting and occupies a big area. So we can take a break at the hotel.

It has a nice pool. My bathroom was smelly though and the sheets and towels need replacing. A snake crossed my path one morning - I heard snakes are common in this area so not really the fault of the hotel but I was terrified.

プールが汚い。とにかく浮遊物がいっぱいで、浅いところには虫がたくさんいて掃除が行き届いてない様子。wifiが繋がらなかった。スタンダードルームは部屋が暗い。デラックスルーム以上に泊まればいいのかも。あまり居心地が良くなかった。朝食は種類が豊富で美味しかった。

Overall it's great with Pros + Cons
My GF and I spent a few days here and enjoyed the experience overall with three caveats. PROS: The gardens and hotel looks lovely, the location is superb; staff are always pleasant and range from conversational (lobby greeters) to overwhelmed (reception desk) to confused (spa + restaurant). CONS: Food is way overpriced and uninspired, service is slow and lacklustre; a chipped glass was served (honest mistake but not one that would get past a decent F*B manager. The menu needs an overhaul and fresh ingredients would be a great start. Breakfast buffet is better. The Spa is ridiculous -- don't bother -- from the bright lights and basic decor of the rooms, to the overly complicated menu that promises fantasy but delivers what I can only compare to the preparation of a chicken before you roast it. My GF particularly loved the way pedicure items and oils were used on one person and then lined up for her next without even a thought about hygiene. They need to get in a professional team. Reception is confusing for one reason: they don't have stations for checkin/out or enquiries/concierge. So you get everyone trying to be served at the same time, and quick transactions get stuck behind slow ones. Behind the desk they do their best but anyone who knows hotels will see the manager needs a better system.

Bagon but not forgotten!
The staff were fabulous. I had trouble with my booking for the Bagan to Mandalay boat trip and the staff made available their desk computer to try and sort the booking out. They went above and beyond the call of duty!!!!!!

A lot of birds make a noisy at the ceiling
Many times, a lot of birds knocked the ceiling of my room. I couldnt sleep easily.

Great place to stay
Great location, great hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Next to the hotel restaurants and in front of the hotel you can hire what they call e-bike to tour around the temples.

Piękne widoki
Hotel cudownie położony wśród stup. Jedząc (rewelacyjne) sniadanie lub pływające w basenie cały czas w zasięgu wzroku znajdują się Stupy. Do tego zielony ogród i smaczne jedzenie tuż obok hotelu sprawiają, że pobyt w Bagan upłynął w miłej atmosferze. Pokój standardowy nie jest wyposażony w czajnik elektryczny,choć taka informacja istnieje przy wyposażeniu pokoju. Jednakowoż czajnik przyniesiono na moją prośbę. Wi-fi w pokoju słabe, łazienka ładna, meble w pokoju wymagające renowacji. Pomimo tych kilku niedociągnięć hotel oceniam pozytywnie.
