Ultimate Family Lakehouse- wide water views!

Relax, recharge, and enjoy “Ahhmeetun” on beautiful Lake Tillery, NC. It is the perfect place to boat, kayak, swim, fish, relax, celebrate, reunite, or just soak in the million-dollar wide-water view of the Morrow and Uharrie Mountains. This family friendly, expansive, and rustic home has 2 master suites, 2 queen cabins, and a built-in bunk room. Bring your friends, family, business partners on down because it is time for “Ahhmeetun.”

The Space:
This one-story property was built in the 1950s but has many upgrades for your enjoyment.
There are two large suites, on the end of the house with king beds and full baths attached. One of these suites is waterfront with lake views, a handicapped friendly shower with a bench seat and a a small desk for a convenient work space if work must be done while at “Ahhmeetun”. This space is ideal for guests who love a good sunrise and the sounds of lake livin’.
The other large suite is located on the back side of the house, complete with a tub and blackout shades. Perfect for the guest who likes their space or a late sleep as this room is furthest away from the main living and playing areas. Both rooms include smart TV’s, two dressers and closets with plenty of space.
Off of the hallway, there are two queen cabins with built-in platform beds, as well as a closet and dresser in each. These rooms also include blackout shades and are very insulated from the living space for those who like their sleepers.
These bedrooms share two hall bathrooms with our bunk room. These bathrooms have shower stalls and single sinks. This bunk room is ideal for kids, with full beds on the bottom and twin beds on the top (Twin are really just for kids- the space is tight). The bunk room twin beds are close to the ceiling and are really ideal for kids not adults.
The open space is perfect for families and friend groups who are eager to spend lots of time together. If you are in the living or dining areas you can carry on a conversation with someone in the kitchen. Our dining area inside comfortably seats 8. Our outdoor table and seating is perfect for eating, games or just hanging out and comfortably seats 6-7.
Our favorite location to hang out is the screened in porch and dock. Both locations have comfortable seating for 6-8 guests. If you are traveling with a larger group I recommend you bring additional folding or outdoor chairs.

Renters have access to the majority of the property. There are several locked cabinets for owner use only, as well as the boathouse closet and outdoor storage shed are off limits.

Stuff you can use during your stay:
-We are providing two adult and two kids kayaks, and 1 paddle board available for use while you are visiting, along with a box that has some kids life jackets, floats and noodles. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please help yourself.
-We do have 4 additional wooden folding chairs in the laundry room for your use should you need them indoors or on the porch.
- Lilly’s Bridge Boat ramp is very close to the home and less than a 10 min boat ride from the house. You can also rent boats from Tillery Boat Rental right next to Lilly’s Bridge Marina. There is also a Tillery Kayak rental company. We will have information for both of these locations in our guidebook.

Other stuff to note:
This property does have a septic system and it is very important that nothing other than toilet paper is flushed. Please be sure to throw away feminine products or wipes, even the ones that say they can be flushed. While our property was built in the 50’s we have added some modern features keeping our guests comfort in mind. We have a brand new Maytag Washer and dryer, along with a new refrigerator and recently installed an instant water heater.
-We do have some original features in the home, the Jenn Air stove is very old but has been very reliable for us. Please let us know if you have any issues with any features or appliances in the property, we will do everything we can to address it in a timely manner.
-We are dog lovers and are a dog friendly rental. We have a $200 pet fee if you are bringing pets. We do have a max of 2 dogs unless approved for additional pets for your stay by the owners. We will charge an additional $100 for any additional dogs after the first 2. We do not allow cats due to allergies.

House was nice and cozy, fully stocked with all we needed. Location was nice, great view of the lake. Kids had fun fishing and swimming ALL day everyday. Was nice how the water tappered off in depth so smaller kids could stand up to play in the water and the bigger kids could jump off the deck in the water on the deeper side. Everyone had a great time.

Enjoyed our stay despite several disappointments. Host was fine and communicated well; check in was a breeze. House has ample space and bedrooms for large families but bathrooms are a bit small. House was generally clean but found bugs in bathrooms and kitchen area the first night and throughout the week. Walkway from house to dock is mostly red clay and backyard has poison growing adjacent to walkway, to which my son is highly allergic. We hoped to utilize the dock for simply docking our boat to enjoy the lake with family but found no way to simply dock our boat and use the dock. Power outlets at dock were locked out also so no chance of charging any onboard batteries or gear. Kids enjoyed jumping in and swimming at the dock but there’s no ladder so be prepared for other means to get them back up on the dock. Wife enjoyed SUP from the dock. Overall pleased with our stay but could’ve been much better.

We enjoyed our 2nd stay here. The property has plenty of room, is clean and well maintained, there are leisurely activities available including puzzles, books, cornhole, etc. The fishing off the dock is excellent. Our 8 year old caught her first largemouth bass right off the edge of the pier. The property is conveniently located to shopping and the marina, a quick 5-10 minute drive or boat ride. We plan on staying here again as long as the property is available to us. Thank you again for another great stay!

Spent 5 days at the lake house for my daughter’s wedding in Norwood. We had friends and family over at various times and used all the bedrooms. 5 beds and 4 baths was great. King beds were comfortable too! Plenty of space for everyone. Screened porch was a bonus providing separation for hanging out. Living room comfortably fit 7 for a Stanley Cup game. Plenty of parking. While the home is a bit dated, it had all the amenities we needed and everything worked as expected, barbecue included. Views of the lake were awesome. While we didn’t use the dock or water, it was ready and available. Overall the home was very nice and met all our needs, hence the 5 star rating.

7 of us spent a fabulous 4-day weekend in this beautiful house. The house itself has age, but it's well-maintained with great furnishings. The living and dining area had plenty of space for all of us, and the 2 master bedrooms were spacious.We enjoyed the screened porch, but had to clean the pollen off the furniture before we could use it (probably because we were there in peak pollen season).The property is amazing, with a picturesque view of the lake from all the front windows. We enjoyed walking the stone pathway to the boathouse with its outstanding view of Lake Tillary.When we had questions for the owners, we received quick and helpful replies, or a phone call if it was more appropriate.I highly recommend this house.

Our family absolutely loved staying at this home. With adult children who live all over the country and their small children, it becomes harder for us all to get together. This wonderful home provided a beautiful place to stay with plenty of room and lots of wonderful amenities. We will absolutely not hesitate to stay here again. Should the opportunity present itself. You will love this one. Lots of space in the lake access view is stunning.
