« Lovely home! Very spacious. Two TVs. Delightful hot tub, and well maintained. Property manger was responsive to text messages and attempted to fix issues. Basement floor was not vacuumed, and dishes not clean in cabinets. Broken towel racks in most bathrooms. Refrigerator was malfunctioning most of the time we were there. Overall I would still rebook and recommend this place but I would give a heads up about afore mentioned issues! »

« Our group of seven had a wonderful stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. It is a lovely quiet area, but close to the downtown area of Warren. We were in VT for our daughter's graduation from Middlebury College, about a 45 minute drive away, which was perfect for us. It allowed us to avoid the hustle and bustle of the graduation crowds, but allowed us easy access to all campus activities. We would definitely stay again! »

« This house is very rundown. The house was very musty and smelled. Some windows would not shut/lock. The kitchen drawers wouldn’t open unless you lifted up on the Formica counter top. The place is listed as traditional Farmhouse, however we have a family 150 yr old farmhouse and this is not what I consider to be that. It is directly on a busy road and with the house not secure we couldn’t leave our belongings when we left. »

« We spent the night in Mad River Valley at the 1830 House for a weekend event. The house was clean and cosy and it accommodated all of us. The Wifi worked well and we loved the privacy each of us had in our own rooms. We also appreciated the kitchen (there are two, if you book the whole house - one up and one down!). It was close to our venue, the Mad River Barn, too. The only downside (minor) was the steep stairwell to the second floor. There was no railing to guide guests. My 84-year-old mom...

« We enjoyed our time in this comfortable and peaceful environment. Mark, the host, is friendly and very responsive to questions and the few issues that arose. The kitchen is well appointed and a fun place in which to cook and share meals with friends. The living room furniture and beds are very comfortable. Because we visited during warm weather, we did not use the fireplace or wood stove. »
