« It was a very pleasant stay. The area is easily accessible to the entire island. The view & breeze was great to just lay back and take in. Slept like a rock. Excellent for relaxing after a busy day. The host/management was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Internet was stable enough for video conferencing. Cell reception ok. You should rent at a minimum an AWD to move around the island. Many roads are in dire need of repair/upgrade across the island. Taxis and public transportation is scant...

« We were delighted with the location which was within walking distance of everything in Christiansted. The house was clean and comfortable and the linens were like new. The TV was great and we enjoyed seeing the local chickens and Iguanas! Easy parking too. »

« Very nice view and all the amenities. It’s one room, studio so right but we don’t spend much time there so no issue. Very comfortable. Very nice seating by the water for morning coffee and afternoon sunset. Great sound of waves and way walk to beach. Hosts are so nice and friendly and helpful with suggestions and stories about the island. Your at their house so it’s nice to see them busy around the property. »

« The location was perfect. I walked to restaurants, shops & the boardwalk. The apartment was good for the week. I would want something a bit different if I was staying longer. The kitchen was okay but I would not cook there. I sent out a few messages & they were answered promptly. »

« Shannon met us at the condo at checkin and was super helpful and made our stay a great week. Dave was also a great host. The condo is a little dated but beds are super comfy, great AC, washer dryer in unit, nice view from porch and the pool was wonderful. Awesome view from pool. Downtown was 10 minute walk. Bring bug spray the mosqitos were bad early morning and late evenings on porch due to a ton of rain before we arrived. View made up for the bug bites. I would stay here again... »

« Die Anlage ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Apartment war aber in einem sehr guten Zustand. Es liegt nah an Christiansted. Die rauchende Nachbarin war sehr nett, aber wer allergisch auf Zigarettengeruch reagiert, sollte ein anderes Apartment wählen. »

« We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay! »

« We loved the Mary Read! It's close enough to downtown Christiansted that you can walk to all the shops and restaurants, but sits outside the main action by a block, so it's quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. We stayed for a week and took advantage of many of the unit's facilities including the onsite laundry and loner equipment for the beach. We would definitely stay here again! »

« Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! The bed only has a sheet to sleep on, no blankets, and bring extra toilet paper,...

« This house felt just like home. Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and very well kept. Our host was great, very accommodating. She was even able to rent us a vehicle which was a great help to getting around the island. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the islands. »
