« Quando siamo arrivati al cottage verso le 18.00 non si è presentato nessuno per darchi la chiave. Abbiamo chiesto ad una vicina che ha cercato si aiutarci. Alla fine, verso le 21.15 hanno rintracciato la donna delle pulizie che ci ha prestato la sua chiave. Ore che volevamo trascorrere a York e che abbiamo perso girando da una casa all'altra in cerca di aiuto. Roberta »

« We had a lovely 4 day stay at Harwood lodge.The lodge has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable.The only downside is there’s nothing much to do locally, there is a Thai restaurant at the entrance to the site and an Indian restaurant a bit further away but that’s it, shame there’s no local pub to go in that’s walkable.This lodge is perfect though if you want a peaceful break away. »

Immaculate accomodation with a very personal touch, a welcome hamper & even a basket of treats for out dog and a fenced area for the dog too. « We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Bluebell shepherds hut. The accommodation was well equipped, and beautifully decorated. We couldn't have asked for a comfier bed! The hot was an added treat and just as lovely in the drizzle!Only thing that could be improved is better Wi-Fi connection, it is there, just intermittent. Sue was a delight to be welcomed by and had we needed anything, I have no doubt we would have received it quickly. »

" On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered. The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty. The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold. Coffee and tea were not refilled, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel where better service and cleanliness are expected."
