« The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. « Lovely little cottage in a very nice small town. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Although no parking is available outside the front of the cottage, we had no problem parking in the road outside under the bridge as suggested. We enjoyed the walks along the Humber with the path starting right behind the cottage. " On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered. The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty. The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold. Coffee and tea were not refilled, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel where better service and cleanliness are expected."
