Even though we live 20 mins away from the hotel and we have visited many times,it is such a special place we decided to make a night of it as a special Xmas treat.

We had a 1 night stay going to a wedding. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Venue was very clean. Room was very clean, spacious and ensuite was the same. All food was to a high standard and delicious. Booking in and out was efficient and quick.

A lovely, and large property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is the lack of real room service after 9pm. Having a sandwich after a day on the road wasn't a great finish to the day.

The room was a good size and amenities were fine. Two issues though. The building is a fairly new build and they have Air Conditioning in the public areas like the restaurant but failed to have any climate control in the rooms. So the windows had to be left open (didn't help much) and there were constant weddings with bands and noise outside the windows. Uncomfortable for sleeping. Also, after a day of touring there is no food service after 9 PM. no chef available so no room service. not even a sandwich. Food was good but not outstanding. Friendly staff.

Great hotel setting and couldn’t fault the quality of the hotel, rooms, service and facilities as a wedding venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel grounds provided excellent walks in a woodland environment. The wedding catering was just perfect and the castle itself was the perfect location, slightly away from the main hotel, for the party to continue as long into the night as desired. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely brilliant!
We had a lovely room overlooking the walled garden. We ate in the bistro and on the 2nd night enjoyed their tasting menu. Both meals were excellent and I can highly recommend the 7 course tasting menu. Staff are so friendly and everywhere is kept very clean and to a high standard. Plenty of walks from the castle into Slieve Gullion forest park. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A wonderful experience.
From the minute you walk through the door until you leave the treatment is first class. Super friendly people who look after your every need. The food was fantastic and beautiful room with lovely view. Guest walks around the estate and the castle is very pretty.

We are loving our stay. The hotel is beautiful with the mix of old and contemporary..our room is just lovely with a superb view over snowy fields out the large corner window. Service has been absolutely excellent. And as for the food!!!! Superb wouldn't be a good enough description. Just wonderful. You have to experience this for yourself. We've been to hundreds of restaurants and this is just brilliant. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay in a stunning location.
