Neighbours next door were LOUD and kept yelling for property manager throughout the night. Washer and dryer listed were not clean. Otherwise it was amazing!

It was a quiet room even though it was on the main street of town. It had a microwave, mini fridge, bath and shower. The tv reception was a little blippy, but we spent most of our time on the beaches anyway, so no big deal for us. It was close to a Chinese restaurant and a burger drive through that also had halibut fish and chips that weren’t bad. Also close to grocery outlet and another grocery store. It is about an 8/10 minute walk to the beach. It’s only 1.6 miles from agate beach and 8 miles from Devils Punchbowl which had little tide pools aginast the rock ledge at low tide where my kids caught lots of crabs; plus it was great for body surfing (and lots of other surfers abound). As for the “breakfast “ there were bagels and packaged muffins/cinnamon rolls, some juice and coffee. We didn’t care for it- but it was something. We will likely return again one day. It was good for me and my three kiddos.

Run down and not kid friendly
The room was very run down and needed maitence we were hesitant to plug anything into the wall outlets due to scorch marks on outlet covers. We requested a 2 queen bedroom with a kitchen when we arrived we were told the kitchen rooms were only a single king bed. The bathroom was clean but very small. The management was very friendly. They came in and cleaned our room and made the beds while we were gone we weren't expecting that during the covid pandemic

Nice quiet place at a modest price
We stayed there for one night. After a horrible night at another cheap motel before that, we expected the worst. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this inn at the very reasonable price we paid. The room was clean, located in a very quiet place. All you need were there: clean good quality bed linens, a comfortable mattress, a radio clock, a mini-fridge, a microwave, an iron, all the toiletries, and even a Keurig coffee machine and six K-cups of a good coffee!!! Nice central location in Newport, close to the beach and to Hwy 101 and still quiet. The only issue was the breakfast. The hotel description was saying "Full breakfast" (not Continental). In fact, it was just muffins, bagels, jam and coffee/tea. That was it. A bit disappointing.

Dirty room, strange practices
Location was a bit out of the way. Furniture in the room was stained. The other hotel guests were noisy and the area seems to attract some shady characters. The hotel owner was quite abrupt and I was surprised when he asked for my credit card CVV. He proceeded to type this into his computer which I have never seen anyone do before. A few days later I noticed our credit card had been skimmed for hundreds of dollars in fraudulent purchases (we have only used it for hotel stays).

No wonder it was cheap...
Please don't stay here! First of all the manager told us that he had already charged us prior to us getting there (we chose the "Pay later option) because he's tired of being ripped off by people not showing up. Then there was the room... Everything is very old and outdated. There was an old space heater available for use Which I'm sure is probably against fire code. The cleanliness was not the best to either. Thick dust on a fan, What looked like a blood stain on a bench , etc. Also the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were too.

Overall decent stay
Location of motel is good in middle of town on main road, easy to find. Pleased to find the room in such good condition. It's been renovated and the beds were comfortable. Check in was a breeze. Because this is older motel, the heating vent is on wall with a big sign not to situate anything in front of it. There is also an additional portable heater available. For the price I'd stay here again.

Decent place, old but they are at least making an effort to update things and make the room look nice. My only real complaint is that the bed was very firm, so I did not sleep well. An old motel also lacked a convenient outlet for my phone charger, etc., but that's almost to be expected at this type of property. If you don't mind these kind of problems, you should stay here. It is kept clean and the staff were nice.

I waited quite awhile before someone came to help me register.The first room we were given was quite large but we could not get wi-fi and the TV didn't work. We checked in around 8 and planned to watch a little TV. Called the office and the man said, 'oh. that TV is broken but we have ordered another one.' He also gave us no help with the wi-fi. I had to ask to be moved to another room. The second room was rather dingy. Part of the door frame was gone so we only had one lock. There was no coffee maker as stated in their information. IN the first room, heat was a space heater and air was a small fan!The good points were that the bed was comfortable and there was a nice shower head and enclosure. The walk upstairs to the first room was really messy. Very dirty stairs and lots of clutter. It must be a new manager because we couldn't figure out how they won awards in 2013 and 2014! We will definitely not stay here again!

When I got to the motel, after 9 pm. we realized there was a mix up with expedia booking. They did not have a reservation for that night, but instead the next 2 nights. The very nice man at the desk moved some folks around for the next night and got me in a room that night, and the next. The room was clean, although an older building, it was well maintained.it was quiet, with no upstairs rooms over mine. It is centrally located which was convenient.

Not bad for the price
I was staying in Newport for one night and looking for an inexpensive hotel. Rodeway worked. I didn't need a beach view or a cite and charming cottage. It's right on the main highway but not as noisy as it would seem and within walking distance to several restaurants.

The room was clean and well-furnished, but there were three major issues. The first was that the thermostat could not be turned, such that it was very cold in the morning, as I couldn't turn the heat up. The second was that the switch for the light in the bathroom also turned the fan on, such that I rarely turned on the light in the bathroom. Finally, the door didn't stay closed, and would randomly open. If I am in Newport again in the future, I will avoid this motel.

The place was clean, but the heat didn't work. There was an free standing electric heater that worked, but it was noisy. So choose between sleeping and freezing. The shower pressure was really weak. Not much breakfast to speak of , I left at 7:00 am, and it still wasn't available.

Good surprise at a budget price
This was a pleasant surprise-I was on a budget for this trip, so I probably would have overlooked this place on a normal work trip. The reviews were good, so I gave it a chance, and I am very glad I did. It is family run (owned by the people that have a nearby Chinese restaurant), very clean and updated on the inside. I would gladly stay here again.

Stayed at Shiloh in for over $100 a night an had broke coffee pot an tube TV with a moving floor. This was a great experience updated rooms an TV's. Working coffee pot and just amazing experience compared to what I was use to with my kids enjoying the trip rain an all.

Much better than I expected.
I read through numerous reviews of this place prior to staying here. We decided to stay here even though there have been a few bad reviews in regards to the motel. It was centrally located to a lot of places here with in Newport that we wanted to go and visit which is why we stayed here. That being said, the staff was extremely helpful at both our check in and making sure that we had our Continental breakfast food for the next day. The rooms were clean, quiet if basic. The beds were firm and soft enough to get a decent nights rest. The wall heater didn't work in one of the rooms that we stay but in both of the rooms that we had stayed in a provided good decent plug-in heaters. The only downside that I can see to these rooms is that during the summer they could be, too warm. The rooms do not have air conditioning but at this time of the year there is no need for them. We liked the place.... so much, that we decided to stay an extra night. But we would definitely stay here again I would recommend it.

Human waste on bed sheets
The bed had stains on it. The room had a broken mobile space heater in it. The restaurant next door kept its food waste next to the room I stayed in. I won't be using your website again, and can't believe you'd let such a poor hotel on your site.
