Newby Bridge : les meilleurs cottages

Une maison blanche à la façade en pierre, dotée d’une terrasse en bois et d’un escalier menant à un chalet en bois.

1. Riverside Hideaway

Ulverston

« Lovely accommodation, well presented, . Agree with a comment I have seen - hooks for bathroom / towels would be useful. Lovely spot, right by the river, walking distance ( fairly level)to Windermere Lake and boats etc. Eating places also within walking distance, plenty others short drive away( Anglers Arms, Masons Arms). Bus stop very handy if needed. Nice patio furniture, suntrap in the morning. Obviously outdoor space shared so not private. One picnic table / one bench on the grass by the...

« We had a wonderful stay in this real southern Lake District gem of a cottage – thank you Jules (and Alistair)! It's even lovelier than the photos show! Almost any facilities and extras you could want or need were already provided, with such care and attention to detail across all the areas. If there had been anything missing or not quite right (which there wasn't), then a quick ask would be all that's needed. Easy to contact and on hand with any queries – Jules kindly messaged to let us know...

5. Watch Tree Apartment

Ulverston

« This was an excellent place to stay, with historic ironworks in front, whitewater in behind, and a real steam-engine train passing by that looked like something out of a story book. There are two flights of 17 steps each, for a total of 34 steps to get to the flat, and then 14 more inside the cottage to get to the bedroom. The unit was immaculate when we arrived, and well-stocked with essentials, except we could not find bedding for the pull-out bed in the main living area. The grounds were...

7. Myra's View

Ulverston

« I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into. The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend. »

« We booked Molly’s Pantry as a relatively last minute get away (the name helped as our daughter is called Molly) and we were so pleasantly surprised! The house is beautiful, clean and the hosts have thought of everything, including bowls and beds for furry friends! The beds were comfy and the property was spacious enough for us (two adults, two kids). It is a bit of a drive out to shops etc but there is a pub within a two minute walk and the location worked for us. Parking right outside (albeit a...

« Lovely quiet location on the edge of Cartmel with good road connections to the tourist areas of the Lakes. The place was spotless and well equipped but they really do only include bedding, towels and loo roll. Whatever else you need make sure you take it with you. It lacked hanging space for clothes in the bedroom and any place to put your cases. We were surprised it was a semi detached building, we could hear a lot of noise, especially doors closing in the attached unit. I would still recommend...
