We had a very pleasant stay at the Belleclaire hotel. Our room was large and comfortable and the staff was always very pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast is served in a small adjoining french bakery. They serve delicious pastries and coffee or sandwiches; there is however very little space available to eat and most of the time, we had to bring our breakfast to our room.

A spacious and comfortable room along with friendly and helpful staff can truly make a difference in a stay. It's great that the hotel offers breakfast from a nearby French bakery, although it's a shame there isn't enough space to comfortably enjoy it on-site. Hôtel très sympa
Hôtel très bien situé avec une literie vraiment confortable. Le personnel est souriant aimable et accueillant. Seul bémol, une partie de l’hôtel est collée à un autre bâtiment du coup aucune visibilité par la fenêtre et obligation d’allumer la lumière même en journée ! Je recommande cet hôtel :)

Chambre minuscule. Pas de cafetière dans la chambre ni ailleurs dans l’hôtel. Pas d’accès à la programmation sur la télé. Ascenseurs très petit (un en panne) donc attente. Cher pour ce qui est offert.

L'hôtel est bien situé hors du tumulte de Manhattan, pas mal des restaurants pas loin et Central Park. Le gros problème de cet hôtel c'est le petit déjeuner, très peu de places pour s'asseoir et il faut utiliser des tickets avec uniquement des viennoiseries. Souci aussi avec les ascenseurs soit en panne ou très lent.

Idéal pour séjourner à New York en toute tranquill
Très bien placé dans l’upper west side avec 2 stations de métro très proches et à 5-10 mn à pied de Central Park. Notre chambre était très confortable ( sans vue mais très calme ), literie au top, équipements très biens. Petit déjeuner sous forme de bons ( 10 usd ) dans la boulangerie française en bas, tout à fait suffisant pour nous ( une boisson, une viennoiserie ). Et pour finir le personnel est charmant.

Dans un premier temps j’ai trouvé que l’hôtel est très bien situé ! Le quartier est vraiment sympa Arrivés en fin de journée, nous sommes accueillis par un réceptionniste plutôt sympathique ! Pour le petit déjeuner c’est clairement pas sérieux !!! Pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, proposer juste un café et un croissant je suis sur que vous pouvez mieux faire. Le jour même j’ai demandé à la réception une information sur ma réservation, j’ai eu une interlocutrice très désagréable et impatiente, j’avais quelques difficultés à parler anglais et à me faire comprendre, pas de bonjour pas de merci pas de sourire ! ZÉRO pour l’accueil ! Notre chambre était spacieuse et agréable et surtout propre ! Un peu trop radin sur le gel douche … Ce n’est peut être pas de votre fautes mais là montages de poubelles devant l’hôtel cela n’est pas agréable et pour la vue et pour les odeurs

We had a room with 2 double beds and one king. It was great, big enough for a NYC room. The beds were incredibly confortable and the pastries, viennoiseries and café that come with the room, served at thé Millefeuille downstairs were delicious. The room was clean. It’s an expansive hotel but you have what you pay for !

C'est déjà la quatrième fois que je séjourne au Belleclaire Hôtel et j'en suis toujours ravie! Le personnel est très accueillant, les chambres sont propres et de bonne taille. Le petit déjeuner est suffisant (10 dollars à dépenser dans la boulangerie attenante à l'hôtel).

Hotel en rénovation. 1ère chambre attribuée minuscule et sans rangement hormis une penderie exiguë avec 1 petite étagère en hauteur occupée par le coffre. Après réclamation, 2e chambre plus grande mais toujours la même penderie, petite étagère en hauteur utilisable mais insuffisante et coffre au sol empêchant de ranger les chaussures. Aucune décoration aux murs. 1 seul fauteuil devant une petite table. Salle de bain exiguë également, pas de rangement hormis une minuscule étagère au-dessus du lavabo. Evacuation du lavabo à moitié bouchée et problème de canalisation dans la douche: eau parfois marron. Problème informatique récurrent à l'accueil obligeant à payer la taxe locale en liquide. Les 3 étoiles sont surfaites.

Le Belleclaire, une autre image de Broadway
Installé sur Broadway, l’hôtel Belleclaire a un charme et un confort qui ne correspondent pas à l’image que beaucoup se font de New York et de sa mythique avenue. C’est d’abord lié à sa situation, en dehors de ces quartiers incontournables quand on visite la Grosse Pomme que sont Times Square et Midtown, mais pas loin quand même en métro ou même à pied, la balade est agréable. Le Belleclaire est dans le Upper West Side, quartier un peu excentré… et moins excentrique, plus bourgeois et plus tranquille. Moins de néons, plus de calme dans cet hôtel ancien qui a été rafraîchi après la première phase de la crise sanitaire. Cerise sur le gâteau: pour chaque nuit est offert un crédit permettant d’obtenir une boisson chaude et une viennoiserie dans la pâtisserie située au pied de l’hôtel.

Nice stay. The property has a very long history. From the building exterior to the small but stylish elevator you can clearly see the historical influence. The room is clean, bed comfortable, around many great eats. The neighborhood is clean but bustling with energy. And it’s very close to Levain Bakery which serves fantastic cookies. The only down side I have is the room I got was pretty close to the elevator and not sound proof enough. I’m a late sleeper so not bothering for me. It would be good to check with the hotel about the room location first before booking if you’re sensitive to the sound. My stay came with $20 vouchers per night that you can use for breakfast or dinner. The French bakery closed to the entrance is descent. $20 is plenty for solo traveler but might need a few dollars more for two. Overall, recommend.

Excellent service and stay Great bakery, loved the pastries and coffee Staff were very friendly Nice location easy commutable via subway and taxi to airports Staff were very lovely Only downside was the cleanliness of the floor in the room, needed a good hoover and a wipe, but dusty and not cleaned. Otherwise great stay.

We needed to be close to upper west side to be near to my son. As it’s a residential there aren’t many hotels to choose from so it’s a good job that the Belleclaire was so good. The bedroom was clean and comfy, the front desk staff were awesome and the bakery attached (separate business and French owned) again, was awesome. As we will be visiting quite often this will be our hotel of choice, but perhaps not in May as the whole city seemed to be celebrating graduation!! The only disappointment was that one night the bar was closed for a private function without prior notification.

We had a great stay with our dog. The hotel does nothing special for pups - no dog bowl, no biscuit gift, no dog bed etc. like you might get at other hotels - rather she was treated like any other guest! like an expected, respected guest ;-) - but we booked Hotel Belleclaire primarily because I'd hoped the room size would well accommodate our large dog. Not only was it a really nice large room, but it had hard, cool floors which helped her feel comfortable which made our stay even better. We were able to walk her in Riverside Park in the morning and despite the rainy weather, wandered over to Central Park and and the Museum of Natural History as well. We were also able to dine outside with her at a couple restaurants right outside the hotel on Broadway. We had business in the neighborhood and across town and HB was a great home away from home. I also needed to do some remote work from the room. The wifi was great and the room was comfortable and pleasant for work mode. We hope to be able to stay again.

Stayed with my daughter for a girls trip, staff were all so helpful! They got all our luggage to our room with ease, we were warmly welcomed after a long day of traveling. The café vouchers are perfect for grabbing a quick bite in the morning. The coffee was good, the yogurt and pastries were all delightful. The front desk even helped secure a taxi for us on departure! It was a seamless, stress-free stay.

Great hotel! We had a very spacious room for NYC - the front desk upgraded us to the family suite and it was so comfortable. Location was excellent, breakfast vouchers to the French cafe were great, and the front desk staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
