Great location to restaurants and trains. Apartment was good and everything we needed. I did some cooking with a family of four so maybe some cooking utensils, cutting board etc, but otherwise we had a great time. Thank you

Excellent location -- near stores, apartments, and transporation -- although the listing should have included a one story walk up. Check in information was available 20 minutes before check in although I had been requesting it for two days. Kitchen has a microwave and microwavable dishes but basics were missing, a dish towel, dish rack, an ice cube tray. Pots and pans were in different cabinets so finding things was a scavenger hunt. . Second floor NYC apartment can be noisy.

Good location

In general, the apt is nice. Location is superb, walkable to Central Park. The kitchen needs things - only 3 spoons, no dish drainer, cutting board or towel. We received the check-in details one hour before checking in, and then got the wrong keys and had to go get the right ones. Be aware that although it advertised that it sleeps 6, you will be charged extra for more than 2. We had to pay more for our grandchild. But still a good price for location.

Funky check in process but overall not a bad stay

The property is definitely a good size for New York and our family was comfortable there. The location in the UWS was great - just a couple blocks from Central Park and the subway. The check in process is a little funky in that you don’t get any of the check in information until literally right before check in time which I didn’t love but it worked out okay. The only major issue was that the property description indicated there was a travel crib there but when we checked in we didn’t find one. It turns out you have to specifically request one ahead of time however there was no way for us to know that. We were able to get in touch with the property manager who had one delivered for us to use for our infant daughter that night, but it did take a few hours and the situation was just a little stressful. I’d just recommend changing the description to say more specifically say “travel crib available upon request” to eliminate any confusion for others in the future. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would likely stay there again because of the size of the place and it’s location.

Cleanliness of Place

While the location was close Columbia where my brother attended school and had some fun nightlife around it, the place was not clean when we arrived. Immediately upon walking into the bedroom, I noticed a tissue underneath the pillow. This caused me to further investigate in which I proceeded to find stains on the pillows as well as Hair particles. Please see the pictures below attached. While this was not a good start to the stay the owner did rectify the situation by sending in a cleaning crew the next day to re-clean the place. We also were only given three towels with no washcloths or hand towels. We had to request them. Finally the initial getting in touch with the host was a process because I had to reach out to them as check in time was getting closer and I did not hear anything. It was after check-in time when I received a note explaining how to get into the VRBO.

Ended Up in Hell's Kitchen

Well, for those who book on VRBO and end up with NYCShortStays you should know you will not get your check in details until about 45 minutes before your check-in time. They also charge very high fees if you want an early check-in time. It was 229 to check-in two hours before our scheduled time. We didn't get to stay in the original property that we booked on the upper west side because the ceiling caved in the bathroom right before we arrived, so they gave us another property in Hell's Kitchen which ended up being full of beds. There were beds in the living room and the kitchen. It would easily sleep 11 people, but it only had 1 tiny bathroom. There was very limited seating for eating or relaxing. It was just a very odd setup. It could be a very nice cozy space if they weren't so concerned about how many people could sleep there. It was not a quiet area so if you are looking for that this is not the place for you. The location ended up being great as far as being close to Broadway, Time Square, and the Subway. I would not stay here again, but if you had a large group that needed lots of beds this could work for you.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I am a US military member and just got back from deployment. I thought I’d enjoy some time with my daughter in NYC but VRBO and the owner of this booking only offered us a terrible, uncaring experience!!I booked this ‘2 Bedroom gem’ back in February for our trip in April. I read the details to ensure it would accommodate my party of 4. I will say that I accidently forgot to change the 2 guest to 4 guest when booking, but I messaged the host in March to let them know I definitely had 4 guest coming.Move to April, I check in and the ‘2 bedroom gem’ is a one bedroom hovel. And no, this isn’t just a case of the pictures were prettier than the reality, this was an ENTIRELY different apartment than what I paid for!!! It was dirty, there was no TV and the front door lock was old.I immediately reached out to the owner but they did not answer my calls or messages. They finally reached back out to me only to tell me I was in violation for having 4 guest vice 2.They were trying to justify giving me less than accommodations!VRBO and the owner never tried to help me fix the problem so I ended up leaving, and now they refuse to issue a refund! Please, please don’t stay here!We ended up leaving and had

Worst VRBO ever

Property was not the original address reserved, instructions for getting the key to the unit was impossible, key broke in the lock to get to the inside of the building, property manager had never been to the unit and did not know what it looked like, there was one roll of toilet tissue for five days of stay, There was no paper towels, the coffee machine did not work, and the unit quite honestly was awful. The only positive thing I can say that was that it was in the correct part of town for what we needed.
