We had relatives from Italy with us and they absolutely loved it. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it. Congratulations to the owners, because they have done a wonderful job with it. »

« We had a lovely weekend stay for a quick family get-away. The main kitchen and living area has spectacular views onto the lake as does the deck where we spent most of our time. The lake is just across the very quiet street. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, the host super responsive and the rooms very comfortable. We did not use the well equipped basement work-out and additional TV space but it looked great. Easy to get to grocery store, hikes, local attractions but honestly we just loved...

« Had a break of 5 days with my wife and 2 kids. The place is well decorated and charming. It is surrounded by trees. Everything in the house was of great quality and hand picked by Melanie. Melanie was also very responsive and has a great sense of hospitality. Would definitively go back to enjoy Fall colors. Many hiking places around the area. »

« Very nicely renovated house. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Large comfy living and dining room. Very responsive hosts. Only suggestion would be to provide a few more hooks in the bathrooms for guests to hang personal things (night clothes, used towels, etc.). I would highly recommended this place. »

« This is a beautiful older home and I loved its charm. The wrap around porch is so quaint. However, the listing mentioned steep staircase but not to the extent that it was actually unsafe for my elderly parents. You can literally step out of the bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor and tumble down the stairs as the stairs don’t match up to the doorways. There is a bedroom on the 1st floor but the bed is pushed against the all so again my mother couldn’t get out. Also there are only 2 claw foot...

We didn’t have time to go to the dock but it looked very nice! Wish we had time to stay longer. We will definitely try to stay there again for our next family event »

« The neighborhood was clean, upscale, and beautifully kept. It came with Candlewood Beach access. The second story suite was gorgeous, clean, and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was well maintained and a wonderful,"homey" feel to it. The Hostess was friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. The house is on the hillside leading to Lake Candlewood. As can be imagined, the views from the windows were outstanding. »

« We planned a long weekend at this beautiful lake house on Candlewood Lake to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. What a great place to get together with family and to celebrate. The house was beyond our expectations. It was airy and clean and the views were spectacular. The house had every amenity you could think of and then some. I imagine that this home is even lovelier during the summer. The house was easy to get to, and there were lots of markets and stores (Stew Leonard, Costco, etc.)...
