Take a trip down memory lane when you book this awesome classic retro mid-century holiday house.Blast on Hine is in a prime New Plymouth position directly across the street from the Award-Winning Coastal Walkway. A five- minute stroll to the CBD where you can enjoy arts, culture, restaurants andshopping. Venture a bit further along the walkway and you will be connected withstunning swimming beaches and the New Plymouth breakwater where you can enjoy the many restaurants located on the water's edge.On hot days the kids & Adults alike will enjoy a dip in the family size swimming pool in the backyard!

This much-loved holiday home is the ultimate retro step back in time. Taking you back to your childhood, reminiscing about tones of brown, golds andpurple, stained glass and mid-century furniture, this home is originaland so boho-chic.Spacious living area with high-pitched ceiling and views out to the sparkling blue-water . Fully equipped kitchen for your holiday cooking needs.

On the ground level you have one spacious bedroom with a new king bed and laundry with a shower and separate toilet room. Upstairs is the main living area, bathroom and two additional bedrooms, the master bedroom with a new comfortable queen bed and the second bedroom with two new king single beds. No 1970's house would be complete without a eccentric retro bar and lounge and 1970's blast on Hine does not disappoint. Additional features include off street parking and unlimited WIFI.

Please note the cleaning fee: All linen & towels are provided by a commercial linen company and are professionally laundered. Properties have been cleaned prior to guests arrival to meet the Ministry of Health commercial cleaning standards. A part end of stay cleaning service is included. This covers the cleaning of bathrooms, mopping and rubbish removal. Guests are required to leave the property in a tidy and clean state all dishes are washed/the dishwasher loaded and turned on prior to departure.

All Bach Break properties come well equipped with cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, milk, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, liquid hand soap and body wash.

Other Details:

The property is very well equipped with most things you will need on holiday. If you use a hair dryer we ask that you bring one with you as hair dryers aren't supplied.

Blast on Hine

We had a fantastic stay at Bach on Hine Street, which offered spectacular views of the beach and was conveniently located near the beachfront walk. The property was spacious, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing environment. A real highlight was the swimming pool, which added an extra touch of enjoyment to our stay.One small recommendation would be to ensure the slider doors are fully accessible to the front decking for easier indoor-to-outdoor access. Overall, this property was a great choice for a beachside retreat, and we’d definitely recommend it.

Blast from the past with a view!

The house was in a great location, easy to find and park. It is very vintage, that said it shows and smells its age. We had entire rooms we could not enter due to the smell of age and dank. Check in and check out were very easy.The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to be able to prepare meals. It was also nice to be able to walk or take a short drive to nearby dining.The beds were all very comfortable and clean. The entire house was clean, just a bit shabby because of the age of carpets. The couches and chairs are very retro and show and smell their age but were still comfortable.The views are AMAZING and we were lucky to have mostly good weather. We did not get to use the pool much because it was a bit colder than normal, but it was a nice, clean pool and a lovely backyard space. As 4 adults we would highly recommend the space, for the price and the fun retro looks. I think that some tiny replacements and furniture deep cleaning would take this beautiful space above and beyond!

Location, a big plus

My husband and I stayed here for five nights. The best thing about this house is its wonderful location so close to town and just a block from the fantastic Coastal Walkway. Although it is not heated, my husband enjoyed the pool and we were both impressed with the way the robotic vacuum kept the pool clean. It is a big house so if you are a big family or large group, the extra room is an asset. The photos do not lie. It is a blast from the past proving that not all decor and furnishings are worth maintaining. The wall-to-wall carpeting even in the bathroom is worn and there is a musty odor permeating the house. Those with allergies should beware. Although the house was vacant the day before our arrival and they were texting access code by noon on check in day, they still charged us an extra $40 to access before 3:00 PM

Pleasant 3 night stay. We enjoyed the location and the pool. The house is very spacious and cleaned to a high standard. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The house has a tired feel and could do with updating.

Fantastic 70’s

Awesome place to stay. Beds are super comfortable, location is excellent and also private. Communication from property manager was great, check in was so easy. Pool would be better if heated, was a wee bit cold!! Heaps of space. Would absolutely stay again.

Clean and comfortable and in a good location. It was great having a pool as the weather was quite hot. The only downside was that the property does feel "tired". Just one further comment is that the pool is quite deep (1.5 meters I would think) so not so great for littlies.
