Pet-Friendly | 2 Porches, 2 Blocks to Streetcar

Located in the Milan neighborhood of New Orleans, less than a mile from the Garden District and only two blocks from St. Charles Street Cars, this 3-story, historic home is a wonderful way to experience all that the Crescent City has to offer! Inside, you'll find restored vintage features including hardwood floors and exposed original brickwork alongside updated amenities and decor. Each bedroom has its own private bath and there are two living areas for your group to spread out!

Visiting chefs will love the well-equipped, gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a wine cooler) and plenty of countertop prep space.

Meet up for formal meals in the dining area, and then pick from one of two living spaces including one adjacent to the kitchen with a TV for streaming your favorite channels. Outside, take advantage of the front porch or upper-level balcony and sip your mint julep while you watch the world go by!

Property Layout is as follows:

First Floor:
Dining Room, 2 Living Rooms, Kitchen, Laundry, Common bath with tub, and front porch.

Second Floor:
2 Bedrooms, each with a full ensuite bath and a Queen size bed. One of the bedrooms has a private balcony with seating that overlooks the street.

Third Floor:
1 Bedroom with full ensuite bath and a Queen size bed

All of the TV's use streaming services, you can log in to your own accounts to watch television.

You will have access to the entire space you are renting, but there are two other units with long-term renters at the rear of the home. The back porch is for use of those tenants only. They have their own private entrances, just like you will. For outdoor spaces, you will have exclusive use of the front porch and 2nd floor balcony.

While the home is very well-maintained, it is over 160 years old and, as such, has some quirks associated with historic homes.

You may park two of your vehicles in the gated driveway, but they must be parked in line (one behind the other) so that the tenants at the rear of the home can get by you and to their spaces. Any additional vehicles you have with you will need to park on the street.

Per local requirements: This home is not ADA-compliant. There is an exterior doorbell camera that records anyone entering the property through the front door. There is a noise-monitoring device inside the home (as requried by law) that measures the sound levels to ensure guests are not disturbing neighbors. Permits: 23-CSTR-04023, 23-OSTR-06117

You have access to everything in the home except for the back porch, which is reserved for the two long-term tenants in the units at the rear of the home. You have exclusive use of the front porch and 2nd floor balcony, as well as anything inside the home. There is a locked closet on the 3rd floor that is reserved for the owner's supplies, and a locked closet on the 1st floor for our cleaning supplies.

This home allows dogs (limit of 2) and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please be sure to include the pets on your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.

**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
Please carefully read our house rules below

1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile. Please do not remove your ID from your profile at any point during the booking process, or your visit. This will trigger automatic cancellation of your reservation.

2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).

3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.

4. Clean towels are a provided amenity. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more.

5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.

6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras are present at the property to verify these laws & house rules are not broken. All rental platforms specifically ban parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in immediate eviction and a ban from the platform.

7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.

8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels.

9. If the space is left excessively dirty, $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.

11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo”, it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.

12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.

13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.

14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.

15. Message us for long term stays.

16. Trash is picked up on Friday, recycling on Friday.

17. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.

18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know no earlier than a few days prior to your reservation date, and we will determine if it's possible. We are unable to confirm early check-in (or late check-out) requests for future dates. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through the platform after your additional time has been approved.

We stayed at this property for a week for my daughter's graduation. There were 3 couples and a couple infants. The property is accurate in its description. The first floor rooms are spacious and provided plenty of space for our group. The kitchen is very functional. Each bedroom had an ensuite which was very useful for each couple.The parking for two cars behind a gate gave us confidence. Additionally, street parking was always available. The Fresh Market is a mere two blocks away. Recommended for those who want a good location and good space for a group.

My wife and I and another couple who are our friends, met at this house to enjoy a long weekend in New Orleans. The house has plenty of room with three bedrooms, four bathrooms (!!!), a full kitchen and two outdoor spaces. Off street parking for two vehicles is a plus. The house is old, the floors are not level and the walls are not square, but the kitchen and the bathrooms are updated, and despite being a large house, there are plenty of cozy spaces. There are TVs in every bedroom and a living space off the kitchen for streaming, but we never used them.The house is located at the edge of the Garden District and Uptown. The St. Charles trolley is about a block away and Magazine St. is a short ten minute walk.Overall, this house provided us a great base for a great weekend.

This is a beautifully renovated, spacious, historic home! It was a wonderful respite from our many daily outings and activities around the city. Its location- midway between our family near Audubon Park and the French Quarter- was perfect for our visit. The close proximity to the St Charles Streetcar line made getting about easy, timely, and inexpensive. We ate most meals out (yum!), but really enjoyed our morning coffee sitting in truly comfortable reclining leather loungers in the spacious Kitchen-Den. Had we wanted to cook, there is an upscale grocery store 2 short blocks away. The air conditioning worked great, thank goodness, and the beds were quite comfortable. Havining four bathrooms was epically nice. We loved the house and would definitely select this home again!
