Mid-Century 2BR - Near Bike Trail, French Quarter

Our beautifully renovated mid-century bungalow features 2 bedrooms, each w/ a king bed, 1 full bathroom with shower/tub combo, a kitchen w/ stainless steel appliances, and a large, tree-shaded back yard! Centrally located to all of New Orleans' most popular amenities. You'll be less than a 10 min drive to the French Quarter, downtown, JazzFest/Fairgrounds, and the Superdome! We're also located less than a block from an entrance to the Lafitte Greenway, a 2.8 mile biking/walking trail!

This thoughtfully renovated mid-century bungalow is your comfortable, centrally located home base for exploring New Orleans. You’ll enjoy full, private access to the entire home, including a peaceful backyard with mature trees, a grill, covered patio, string lighting, and plenty of space to unwind.

The home was completely remodeled within the last few years, blending historic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find an open floor plan with stylish touches and functional amenities throughout:
- Two king-size bedrooms with cozy bedding
- Bathroom with full tub/shower combo
- Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and cookware
- Living room with large TV and comfortable seating
- Dedicated workspace (desk and chair in one bedroom)
- Full-size washer and dryer
- Spacious backyard with grill, fire pit, and lounge seating

We welcome up to 4 guests—please note there are two bedrooms with king beds (no sofa bed).


The neighborhood:
The neighborhood offers a colorful snapshot of New Orleans: eclectic, historic, and full of character. Each home tells its own story, whether freshly updated or proudly original. Located on a quiet residential street, this Mid-City gem is both walkable and bike-friendly, with a friendly community and easy access to the city’s best outdoor spaces, restaurants, coffee shops, and more.

You’ll be walking distance from:
- City Park – home to NOMA, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, and morning beignets at Café du Monde
- Bayou St. John – perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or a scenic stroll
- The Lafitte Greenway – a 2.8-mile pedestrian/bike path with cafes, breweries, and local charm
- Jazz Fest/Fairgrounds – skip the traffic and walk to one of the city’s most iconic events
- Canal Streetcar Line – just a 10-minute walk, offering a classic New Orleans ride into the heart of downtown, the French Quarter, and the Superdome.

Parking:
There is no private parking included, but street parking is free and usually easy to find right in front of the home.

With fast Wi-Fi, comfortable workspaces, and proximity to some of New Orleans’ best outdoor and cultural attractions, this home offers the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and local charm.

Information Required by Local Laws: This home is not ADA-compliant. There are several steps to enter the home from ground level. There is a noise monitoring device in the home (required by law) that registers decibel levels but has no actual recording capability. There are exterior security cameras on the home for our safety and yours. These do not record any interior spaces of the home, just the exterior, and are active at all times.

You'll have access to the entire home and everything in it, including the outdoor space.

We're available by text or call or messaging in the app, 24 hours a day, for any needs that may arise during your stay.

Mid-City is the perfect location for a New Orleans adventure! Some popular destinations include:

- Historic French Quarter: 2.2 miles
- Superdome & Smoothie King Center: 2.1 miles
- Lafitte Greenway: 750 feet away!
- City Park & one of the Café Du Monde locations: 1.5 miles
- Fairgrounds & Race Course: 1.3 miles
- Tons of nearby popular restaurants, including: Coffee Science, Bayou Beer Garden, Wrong Iron on the Greenway, Neyow's Creole Café, Katie's Seafood, Mandina's Italian, and Taqueria Guerrero. Many others just a short ride away as well.
- Nearby places for essentials include a Whole Foods and a Winn-Dixie about a half mile away, and a CVS and Dollar General close as well.

You'll be about a 8-10 min walk to the closest stop on the Canal Street Streetcar line (Canal & Lopez), which connects to many popular parts of the city. Ubers and Lyfts are also easy to come by in this area any time of day or night. If you brought your own car, there is plenty of free street parking along the street in front of the house.

Absolutely no parties and no pets!

New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.

***There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.

2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).

3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.

4. Clean towels are a provided amenity, there is a washer and dryer in the unit if you need a refresh!

5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee.

6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. As of May 2022, all rental platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.

7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.

8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. There are makeup towels provided for this use.

9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.

10. Pets are NOT allowed at this listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.

11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.

12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.

13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.

14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.

15. Message us for long term stays.

16. Trash & recycling is picked up on Monday.

17. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.

18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested after your additional time has been approved.

19. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
