This 1892 Victorian cottage in Bywater keeps its original hardwood floors and high ceilings intact, giving the whole space a sense of history you can actually feel underfoot. As the cooler months settle over New Orleans, the courtyard and fire pit turn into the heart of the stay, somewhere to linger a little longer after the sun goes down.

Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms hold a queen bed each, comfortably sleeping up to four guests. The high ceilings and period details carry through the bedrooms too, keeping the cottage feeling open and unhurried.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen comes with a fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, kettle and coffee maker, along with cooking basics and crockery and cutlery, so putting together a full meal at home is simple. A dining table seats everyone for shared dinners or a slow morning coffee before the day gets going.

Outdoor living
The back garden and patio give you room to spread out, with outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area set up for al fresco meals. The fire pit and BBQ grill make evenings outside easy, and the bayou-style front porch, with its row of rocking chairs, is the spot for watching the neighborhood go by.
