« What a wonderful hotel! So much charm and character with all the comfort and amenities of a "modern" hotel. Our room in a repurposed 1800s home across the parking lot from the hotel proper was small, but quiet and lovely. The complementary breakfast was delicious, and the the vibe and bluegrass music in the "Saloon" was so fun and lively. Also, Kim, who greeted us at the front desk, is such a helpful, delightful person. »

Fun rooms, the most comfortable bed and quality linens, feather pillows etc. A few quirks that are very understandable in a historic building in the middle of town (sometimes loud at night) but they have thought about little things like ear plugs and noise machine. Great for a couple on a mid week getaway »

« I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville. »
