Parfait pour un séjour en famille
Résidence très propre, bien entretenue, sécurisée et au calme sur les hauteurs de Nerja. Grande piscine sécurisée. Logement très agréable, avec toutes les commodités. Les chambres sont spacieuses. La clim est un plus, de même que le toit terrasse et la terrasse ombragée au rez-de-chaussée. Supermarchés à proximité, plages et criques accessibles rapidement, facile de se garer dans la résidence. Grottes de Nerja, Torre del Marl, Motril, Malaga, Frigiliana, Maro.. De nombreuses choses à voir à proximité. Nous avons passé 2 très bonnes semaines, à recommander.

agréable maison avec une superbe vue
La maison est très agréable dans un endroit calme et reposant avec une très belle vue sur la mer. On a apprécié le confort et avons utilisé régulièrement le toit terrasse. Belle piscine, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de transats à disposition. La plage est accessible à pied, un peu plus difficile pour rentrer car quelques rues en pente. Nous y avons passé de très bonnes vacances et tout correspondait à la description. Enfin, le propriétaire a répondu rapidement à nos attentes. Location de toute confiance.

Superbe endroit, merveilleux séjour.
Nous revenions pour la 2ème dans ce belle appartement. L’endroit est vraiment magnifique avec une vue splendide sur la mer de la terrasse. La résidence est bien entretenue avec un jardin magnifique. La piscine est immense avec un maître nageur pour surveiller en cas de problème. La résidence dispose d’un parking, il est très facile de se garer. Le propriétaire Monsieur Chapman est très sympathique et répond toujours rapidement aux différentes questions. A quelques minutes du centre de Nerja, les commerces, la plage et le fabuleux balcon de l’europe sont tout proches. Je recommande vraiment cet appartement très agréable, c’est vraiment un coup de cœur pour toute la famille, merci.

Loma-asunnon sijainti on hieno ja todella rauhallinen. Uima-allasalue ja taloja ympäröivä puutarha hyvin hoidettu ja kaunis. Paikallisbussilla pääsee helposti kaupungin keskustaan asunnon vierestä eikä meitä lomalaisia haitannut vaikka bussi ei aina tullut ihan aikataulun mukaisesti. Iso kauppa on myös riittävän lähellä. Asunto oli siisti ja hyvin varusteltu. Oli mukava viettää lomaa kodinomaisissa olosuhteissa ja olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä.

Wonderful stay in Nerja
We had a really lovely holiday in this villa. Everywhere was clean and comfortable and the house was very well equipped. The kitchen was well stocked and had good sharp knives and chopping boards etc We enjoyed barbecues in the flower filled garden and played board games around the dining table. The pool was clean and set in beautiful gardens. We would heartily recommend this house to anyone wanting a lovely family holiday.

Excellent accommodation for a family of 4, very well equipped, grounds well keep and quiet, would definitely recommend, car is needed to explore the area, useful safe and secure parking on site, I would highly recommend if you want to eat in or at one of the many restaurants in town, the accommodation was really spacious and felt very homely with some nice character, thank you for a lovely holiday, would highly recommend to friends.

Another fabulous stay
This was a return visit for us and won’t be our last. The villa was clean and tidy and had everything you need for a self catering holiday. The complex is beautiful and quiet with a lovely pool (no fighting for sun beds here) but still convenient for town (bus stop nearby which costs 1 Euro). I would highly recommend this villa to anyone .

Lovely property in Nerja
A spotless lovely property in a quiet area of Nerja. Well maintained garden areas and a great pool. The property is fully air conditioned which was very welcome. The outside options are great. Either immediately outside the lounge on the patio area or on the rooftop terrace. There is a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and although the property is about a 25 minute walk to the Balcon de Europa in town it's all downhill. We tended to get a taxi back which was easy, efficient and about €7 euros. All in all a great place to stay and we would highly recommend. Robert & Paula

So Peaceful
Recently returned from this wonderful property, superb settings, so peaceful affording plenty of chillaxing. Property situated so close to the pool yet so quiet. Yes the property is set up high but the walk to the nearest beach is approximately 25 minutes, being less than 3 klms away and the best thing is all down hill. Same goes for Nerja, it is an easy walk approximately 3 klms away and once again all down hill. The taxi service is superb and costs between 7 - 9 euros, dependant upon where you get in, taxi drivers speak some english so no worries there. Also a local bus service, where the stop is within a 5 minute walk, running approxinately every 20 minutes. Nearest supermarket Mercadona at bottom of urbanisation unfortanately closed on day we arrived, however the Sol on opposite side of road open every day long hours and, in my opinion, much better than the Mercadona and less costly, being able to purchase everything required for eating in. Burriana beach superb as are the range of eating places, varying in cost. Highy recommend this property and would have no probem whatsoever returning to same. Thank you Paul and Sue for allowing us to rent your property, affording us some much required chillaxing time.

Beautiful place
Beautiful place in a lovely setting. We enjoyed our holiday very much but the location was a little out of the way for us. The place itself is up a very steep hill which takes roughly 20 mins to walk to the main road and then another 20 mins to walk into town. The burriana beach takes about the same again another very steep hill. We used taxis a lot which probably by the end of the holiday we would have spent an extra £100. We didn’t want to hire a car as my husband didn’t want to drive as he drives a lot in the UK.. I would say for this location a car is very essential. But all in all we had a great holiday in a lovely villa.

Quiet Location
The Villa is Located in a quiet area of Nerja and was clean and tidy, the communal pool is excellent one of the best we have used. There is a bar and restaurant 10 mins walk away in Capistrano Village but is not a flat walk. On that subject in my opinion you will definitely need a car as the nearest beach and the centre of Nerja are 40-45 mins walk away all down hill, therefore the walk back is uphill and hard work.

A nice property well up in the hillside with a good view
It has everything you need and is well maintained. As it is up a fairly steep hill and the property is spread over three levels you need to be fit and unless you are willing to stay very local I would say you need a car. A quiet area with properties mainly owned by Spanish people.

Villa Apartment with a view
Great stay at the apartment, that felt like a home from home that really help make the holiday. Easy to get to from the A-7 and plenty of parking as we had a hire car as we wanted to explore the local area. The apartment was very clean and well presented. The bedrooms air conditioning made pleasant to sleep at night when we were not sitting out on the roof terrace for breakfast, lunch, or enjoying the stars after walking back hill up from an evening meal out. Pool area was clean with 1m to 2m depth suitable for children (there was also a toddler pool. Life guards was present at all times when pool were open,other families enjoying the quiet and relaxing environment.

Lovely villa-highly recommend
We have holidayed in Nerja on numerous occasions and stayed in various hotels and villas but this was easily the best. The villa was spacious, clean and homely and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a real bonus. Although we didn't cook much the kitchen was well equipped and had all appliances you might need. The fridge was a good size and there was also a dishwasher and washing machine. The roof terrace was lovely and we spent a lot of time in the evenings star gazing or just chilling out. The pool area is clean and well presented and so quiet even at this time of year. The pool itself is a decent size and never got too busy. There are two decent supermarkets nearby and Burriana beach is a 20 mi ute walk downhill. If you don't like walking taxis are reliable and reasonably priced. There is also a bus down to the beach or into town which costs just 1 Euro. This is hourly but is often slightly late and can get a bit busy in the evenings. All in all we would highly recommend the villa and will definitely return again. Thank you Paul and Sue for allowing us to share your lovely home.

My wife and I and our friends had the most wonderful holiday. We have just returned from a weeks idyllic holiday. Really nice town house on quiet, private gated urbanisation.
The house is a 10 minute walk to a large supermarket, bars and restaurants. House was well presented with most essentials. We stayed for four weeks and experienced one of the wettest March's for some time a spare set of sheets would be useful as drying the one set was problematic, our only reason for not awarding 5 stars.

Good points. Nice position with easy walking distance to shops ,beach and countryside. Poor points, House could do with a bit of TLC A pair of scissors in the kitchen would be handy and some egg cups. Bath towels. If you like to wrap yourself in a towel after your shower you need to have a 24inch waist. No water in the swimming pool. Locks and sliding wardrobe doors could do with a squirt of WD40. Some of the units and walls could do with a wipe . Besides those few little points we had great weather and a great holiday ,would definitely like to visit the area again.

Hochwertiges Haus in sehr gepflegter Anlage
Das Haus liegt in einer Anlage etwas oberhalb von Nerja. Hier sieht man täglich einen Gärtner herumlaufen, der etwaigen Wildwuchs entfernt: Der Garten nebst Schwimmbad ist top gepflegt. Das Haus ist überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet. Neben den üblichen Gegenständen, die man in einer Ferienwohnung erwarten darf, verfügt die Unterkunft beispielsweise über eine Waschmaschine, eine weitere Dusche auf der Dachterrasse oder zahlreiche Strand-Accessoires, die man sich ausleihen kann (Sonnenschirm, Liegematten, Strandtennisschläger etc.). Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, beispielsweise werden im Badezimmer die typisch andalusisch weiß-blauen Kacheln aufgegriffen. Eigentlich ist in den vorherigen Rezensionen bereits alles gesagt worden. Dass es sich um ein Premium-Ferienhaus handelt, steht für mich außer Zweifel. Hervorheben möchte ich noch die Dachterrasse. Im Sommer dürfte sie kaum nutzbar sein, denn das Haus hat eine Südausrichtung und es ist wahrscheinlich viel zu heiß, um dort länger zu verweilen. Aber in unserer Reisezeit - Ende Oktober - war es dort nachmittags (nach dem Strandaufenthalt) sehr angenehm warm und meine Frau und ich haben bei einem guten Gin-Tonic häufig den Sonnenuntergang mit dem schönen Blick auf Nerja und das Meer genossen. Aus Sicht meiner Kinder soll ich noch das starke WLAN-Netz betonen. Wir haben den Vermieter nie persönlich kennen gelernt, aber der Kontakt war sehr freundlich und alles war perfekt organisiert. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wir kommen gerne wieder.

(My apologies if the translation is a little clumsy) kind regards Paul and Sue High quality house in a well maintained complex The house is located in a complex just above Nerja. There is a gardener running around daily, so the garden with swimming pool is very well maintained. The house is well equipped above average. In addition to the usual items, which may be expected in a holiday apartment, the property has, for example, a washing machine, another shower on the roof terrace and numerous beach accessories that you can borrow (beach umbrella, mats, beach tennis rackets etc.). The decor is very tasteful and designed with great attention to detail, for example, in the bathroom the typical Andalusian white-blue tiles are picked up. Actually, everything has already been said in the previous reviews. That this is a premium holiday home is beyond doubt for me. I would like to highlight the roof terrace. In the summer, it is unlikely to be usable, because the house has a south exposure and it is probably too hot to stay longer. But in our travel time - end of October - it was in the afternoon (after the beach stay) very pleasantly warm and my wife and I with a good gin and tonic often enjoyed the sunset with the beautiful view of Nerja and the sea. From the point of view of my children, I should emphasize the strong Wi-Fi network. We never met the landlord in person, but the contact was very friendly and everything was perfectly organized. Overall, we felt very comfortable and we will be back.

Not a ‘Luxury’ villa by any means
My friend and I recently stayed at this villa for 1 week. We are mature adults. Whilst this terraced villa is set in a pleasant spot there are no grounds or gardens to walk around and the pool was closed. It is necessary to drive through the sprawling El Capistrano development to reach the villa complex. However there were many things wrong with the villa: It needed a new bathroom, the old enamel bath was stained and chipped and had a plastic shower curtain. The cheap metal shower attachment was set too high up on the wall and it was necessary to hold it by hand to use it to shower with. If the bidet was removed the bathroom could be reconfigured to fit a modern shower cubicle. The old wooden towel rail in the cloakroom kept falling off The old DVD player didn’t work The front bedroom door handle was loose There was no full length mirror in the whole villa No scissors in kitchen drawer, no baking dish, just a few old aluminium tin trays. The oven hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival. No nice mugs for tea, just heavy dark blue stoneware mugs Pillows were old, flat and stained yellow The lounge, whilst potentially spacious, had 2 large, dark purple, grubby leather settess which closed the room in. The TV was too small for the room. There were nice sea views from the front bedroom balcony and from the roof terrace if you stood up. It had a high wall around it. The patio got the sun on it but there were no views because of the large amount of overgrown shrubbery. Apparently the owner prefers this! The ‘garden’ space wasn’t useable because it was so small and dark. This villa was not as described and I am very angry at the amount I was charged for sub standard accommodation.

Dear Sally B. Thank you for your review. We love our holiday home and are proud that, for the last 14 years, more than 95% of reviews have been 4* or 5* . We naturally want guests to enjoy their stay so we take anything less than that very seriously, and take action where we can. You mentioned a couple of things that we will attend to – e.g. we will buy some kitchen scissors, and fix the loose towel rail and door handle. We will also check the pillows – but we did this in October when we renewed the bedding and they were fine. A number of your other points however are factually inaccurate, (e.g. there are beautiful gardens that you can wander around as shown in the photographs, and both bedrooms and the bathroom and toilet have mirrors). We stay in Nerja some 10 – 12 weeks each year so the kitchen is well supplied with utensils and good quality crockery – I am sorry if it was not to your taste Some of your other ‘issues’ are actually very clear on the website. Either from the pictures (that were all taken in 2017) e.g. the purple leather sofas and patio garden, and / or the detailed descriptions. Unfortunately it seems that Jardines de Nerja was not for you – I hope you have better luck with your next holiday Regards Paul and Sue

A really quite place with a nice house, gardens and pool
This is a great place in Nerja. The location is perfect, because the villa is really calm and quite but close to the beaches and the city center (by car, just 5/10 minutes). We also liked a lot the house. We had breakfast in the private garden full of plants. We found all the necessary things, including toys for the beach. I'm sure that we will come back soon again!

Lovely Villa in Nerja
This is a perfect base for a family stay on the Costa del Sol. The little villa is lovely - situated in a really pretty neighbourhood. It is clean, has a sweet little private garden, super air con and just the right size for a family. It's also really useful to have Freeview for those moments where everybody is just too tired to do anything else! The pool is a great size and our children felt very safe due to the lifeguard. I can't fault anything about this villa.

Tranquil jardine de nerja
Just returned from a fantastic stay at jardine de nerja with my wife, mother in law and two young children, the villa was spotless and equipped with anything we needed, the swimming pool area was spotless and most days we had the pool to ourselves, kids pool perfect for the children. Any interaction with Paul was quick and easy and gave us peace of mind. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely villa and area. There is a good bus service close by however it is a very hilly area so a car would be recommended.

Just got back from a brilliant week with our 3 boys (11,7 and 4). Perfect for all of us the boys loved the pool which was only used by us the whole week and just outside our front door! We loved nerja as it is beautiful, traditional and not commercialised so we had some lovely Spanish meals surrounded by orange trees and not another English person around! It was the perfect balance though with lots of shops, beautiful beaches ( we prefarred the coves eg calahonda to burriana) and everything very accessible from the villa ( we had a car but there are hourly buses into town until midnight). I think staying up the hill was worth it for the views but the walk back up....we didn't even attempt it! Used taxis and car all week. Overall could not fault the villa, owners very helpful and those sea views...beautiful

Jardines de Nerja - simply fatastic
The property was just perfect for our family holiday in Nerja. The property was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Set on 3 levels at the top was a sun terrace with a beautiful veiw of the bay, equipped with sun loungers, chairs, clothes horse and shower. 1st floor main bedroom very spacious double bed with lots if storage. Large bathroom and children's room with 2 singles. Although it was very hot at night we found the ceiling fans with the windows open was comfortable to get a good night's sleep with the security of the window bars locked.Ground floor The kitchen was well equiped we made use of the washing machine to keep on top of the laundry. Large comfortable double sofas and indoor and outdoor dining on the patio. The gardens are well secured with a fantastic pool for the kids.plenty of umbrellas and grassed areas to relax in the sun with lovely flowers and plants. The pool attendant Manuel was amazing with the kids keeping the entertained diving for objects in the pool. Once we found the quickest route we could walk into town in about 20 mins with 2 young kids 6 + 8 years old but found a taxi for approx €7 - €8 euros was easier than getting back up the hill late at night. We had an amazing stay and will be back again as so much to discover in Nerja and the food was excellent. Between €40 - €60 for a family meal with drinks and kids puddings. Great property.

Well equipped and a lovely position
Lovely place beautiful views, clean and tidy. Needs a proper canopy on the sun roof terrace, as when it is windy the sun umbrellas blow over. This is only a minor observation, and would not stop us from booking the villa again. Very well positioned for supermarkets, beaches and shops. Lovely museums and markets to visit. The villa had easy access to a well kept pool. A very relaxing holiday . Would recommend it to friends .

Relaxing & quiet
We stayed at Jardines de Nerja for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and spacious for me and my 3 friends. Lovely pool area right outside our front door which was big enough to properly swim which can be rare. The walk to the town is about 25 minutes and we then used to get a taxi home which cost about 8 Euro. The apartment is on a hill so walk from the shop and the beach is up hill so be warned. The hill does however help with the breeze which means sleeping is possible. We found our neighbours to be very friendly and we would often had pool side chats.I would highly recommend Nerja and this apartment. Can't fault Paul and owners direct, all very efficient.

A comfortable,spacious ,well equipped villa with spectacular views in a peaceful location.
We have just returned from twelve nights at Jardines de Nerja and thoroughly enjoyed the total peace and relaxation of this beautiful house and the surrounding immaculate gardens .The villa is very well equipped , tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.The kitchen has everything you would need and all appliances are high quality.The lounge was very homely with comfortable sofas and doors opening into the pretty courtyard garden.The tv provided all English tv channels plus Sky Sports so that was an unexpected bonus.The pool was clean and very quiet which suited us and was set in a attractive ,immaculately kept lawned area .We mostly had the pool to ourselves.The front of the villa faces the pool ,just a few steps away,whilst the rear of the property has glorious sea views .We did not use a car but instead found local buses to visit other places but we could walk to the beaches or Balcon in under half hour .....steep uphill walk on the way back though! There are two huge supermarkets down the hill,ten minute walk,but a smaller one even closer on the neighbouring urbanisation .There was also a lovely Cave Bar just five minutes walk offering free wifi and great.homecooked pub style English meals. All in all this Jardines de Nerja is a beautiful location for those of us seeking peace and quiet away from hustle and bustle yet Nerja town itself is busy town with an authentic Spanish feel and it was lovely to wander down there both during the day and at night . Just a couple of suggestions ,but only minor points !A shopping trolley on wheels would have been really helpful as we saw other people using them and made light work of getting supermarket shopping up the steep hill home !A couple of chairs to use around the pool area as the sunbeds in the house are very heavy to move .And lastly perhaps a little more information in the visitor folder ....for example,we only found out about the Town Bus which stops outside two days before we left and that would have saved a lot of hill walking! However,we would highly recommend this property and its location and would certainly return.

The chairs on the patio are much lighter than the sunbeds and they can be used in the pool area Most people do use a car - but the local Supersol supermarket will deliver shopping free of charge if you spend over a certain amount best regards Paul and Sue

Brilliant villa, pool and parking
We stayed here for a week with another couple. Villa is very well equipped with everything you could need and more. The villa was spotlessly clean and the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. The villa has lovely views, bedroom number one has a lovely sea view and the second bedroom has a view of the pool. The patios area is a little sun trap, as is the roof terrace. We only used the pool a couple of times, but this is very nice and set in a lovley garden . We used the villa as a base to explore the area. We hadn't been before, but would thoroughly recommend. We had a car, so getting around Nerja and surrounding beaches was very easy. Nerja has quite a few beaches to choose from, as well as many excellent restaurants. Ample parking and very easy to get around.

Ruhig, gepflegt, alles top
Die Wohnung ist grosszuegig. Schoene Terasse. Grosse uneinsehbare Dachterasse. Swimmingpool. War alles bestens. Die Internetverbindung war instabil, das lag aber wohl an Bauarbeiten im Netz - die Hilfe war gut & nett. Tip: in Spanien ist "1" die hoechste Stufe bei Herdplatten - ohne die Info wundert man sich schon sehr.
