This place worked perfectly for a friend meetup near Wintergeen! Near Bold Rock cidery and three notch'd brewery, and we stopped at Bear Creamery for an ice cream flight! Laurie responds quickly, we found the house just as described. Comfortable and very clean, in a nice residential neighborhood. We appreciated the screened in porch and the A/C during the day. Highly recommend this getaway!

The house and location fit our needs perfectly. The kids (20 somethingā€™s) went snowboarding and my husband & I went to wineries. Location had something for everyone. Plus being able to cook a family dinner & be together was priceless!

This is probably the 6th or 7th time we've stayed here (have grandparents nearby), maybe more! Laurie is a wonderful host, and makes everything super easy. The house is in a great location near many wineries, restaurants and attractions. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, with horses and deer all around. The house is plenty spacious for a family of 4 like ours, and it's perfect for kids. We love the large screened back porch overlooking a pasture. If you want state-of-the-art appliances and brand new renovations, this home is probably not for you- but if you want comfortable and well-appointed with everything you need, I'd highly recommend!

Overall, the stay was good. We had a weekend celebration in the area for a wedding. The home needs a thorough clean - cobwebs and dust readily visible. Also concerned the dishwasher is not working well as cups had lipstick on them so we washed dishes before using them. The home seems to be needing a good overall maintenance check. The owners were extremely responsive and friendly. There was no advice (we might have missed it) to sort trash before taking the trash out (bins were quite a few miles away from the home). Overall, the home was fine for what we needed for the weekend in an area with limited options.

We had a lovely quiet stay. The house is well located close to breweries and wineries. There arenā€™t very many restaurants in Nellysford, but Waynesboro is a pretty 25 minute drive. Check in was a breeze and communicating with Laurie was super easy. Would recommend if staying in the area!

Together with my wife, sister and brother-in-law, we stayed for a week to attend a wedding in Afton. The weather was warm in early Sept., but the location is very shady, quiet and cozy. Several deer visited every morning and evening. The house is comfortable and well-equipped. Laurie is quick to answer questions. Weā€™d definitely stay again if in the area! Thanks, Laurie.

The home is super cozy and well kept. Because of the rooms not getting any air, we opened the windows and there were mounds of dead bugs. Looked as if they had not been cleaned out in years. Other than that, the area is beautiful! The homeowner made access to the home easy and it was a great stay!

This house is perfectly located in Nellysford - so close to many breweries/Bold Rock/stores, yet in the woods and just a peaceful location. Short 20 min drive up to the mountain resort. You can tell the house is loved by its owner and it is cozy and personal. Love the back porch (screened in).

This was a perfect place for our family of 4 with adult children and 2 Chihuahuas. Everyone had the space they needed and the dogs loved walking and exploring. The screened porch was awesome because we could gather outside with other area family without worrying about spreading the virus. We would love to stay again when we come back to visit.

Had a fantastic stay! The house is attractive, clean and well equipped with anything you would need. Spacious for a family of 4. There's a beautiful view out the back with horse pastures and mountains. My kids loved the family of deer who would visit almost every evening. We loved sitting out on the back screened porch, and having meals out there as well. Laurie was a pleasure to communicate with and on top of everything. Highly recommend!

This home is absolutely perfect. The listing pictures donā€™t do it justice. Very spacious home with everything you possibly need. Great location tucked away for privacy but close to all the wineries and breweries. We will definitely be back. Our pup loved it as well along with running around the property since it was far enough from the road.

We loved our short stay. We had to leave a day early due to the snow. I would go back because of the location. Close to Wintergreen, wine tasting and breweries. We got in a lot in less than 24 hours. The only downside are the extra fees you need to be aware of: insurance, owners fee, cleaning fee. These are my over and above the nightly cost. Those were a bit annoying. All and all, I would go back.

What a great house! About 20 minutes from Wintergreen Resort and 12-15 minutes away from Veritas Winery and Blue Mountain Brewery, we Ubered. Loved the fireplace!! Quiet location but close to IGA for groceries. Owner was quick with responses to any questions. We all just loved it! Will definitely stay again!!!!
