Les chambres ( 317 / 318 / 319 ) sont vétustes et n’ont pas été refaites, dommage car elles sont spacieuses, et disposent d’un beau volume avec balcon et vue imprenable sur la mer. Pas de WIFI, dans les chambres. Elles ne disposent pas de coffre fort. Des petites fourmis se trouvaient dans le lit de la chambre 318 sans avoir porter de nourriture. A la piscine très propre, pas de WIFI non plus. Le wifi est possible à l’accueil. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est tout simplement splendide. Le rapport qualité /prix est trop élevé par rapport à la Grèce séjour pour moi 1 personne 200 euros / nuit -petit déjeuner compris. Merci Cordialement

Très déçus...
Le Nafplio Palace est censé être un 5 étoiles selon Expedia et Booking. Il est très loin du compte et ce depuis longtemps certainement. Les chambres : vieilles moquettes, boiseries et portes antédiluviennes, salles de bain basiques, pas de coffres-forts. Tout est fatigué et d'une autre ère, à l'instar des ascenseurs moribonds. Des cloportes, morts ou vivant, ont été retrouvés dans la salle de bain ou se promenant sur la moquette. La réservation, faite plus de trois mois à l'avance pour trois nuits, demandait 2 chambres avec lits doubles (pour 2 couples). A notre arrivée, on nous a proposé un up-grade pour une chambre, dans la partie rénovée de l'hôtel, pour avoir le 2e lit double : 15m2 et un balcon ne laissant la place qu'à la largeur d'une chaise, sans vue hormis celle de la piscine du voisin dans laquelle nous aurions pu tremper les pieds. On nous a fait visiter d'autres chambres, y compris celles d'un autre hôtel situé au pied de la forteresse. Pour finir, nous avons pris une des vieilles chambres et une "rénovée" dans la partie ancienne de l'hôtel. La chambre rénovée avait deux lits simples. Beaucoup de temps perdu en définitive, à discuter pour ne rien pouvoir changer. La personne de l'accueil à été charmante et compréhensive, elle s'est excusée pour l'état des installations et ce, par force d'habitude sans doute, avec professionnalisme. Il n'y a rien à vendre ni à défendre dans cet hôtel, si ce n'est sa localisation exceptionnelle, et c'est bien dommage.

Hôtel décevant rapport qualité prix pour un 4 étoiles. On paie surtout la vue sur la ville qui est magnifique. Le mobilier des espaces communs est vétustes. Le Wifi ne fonctionnait pas en chambre et connexion déplorable dans les autres espaces. L'eau chaude se faisait attendre au labavo de la salle de bain. Chauffage et climatisation difficile à régler. Pas de bouilloire et cafetière dans la chambre comme dans les 5 hôtels précédents que nous avons faits. En revanche, personnels charmants, petit déjeuner complet. Cuisine raffinée pour la Grèce dans leur restaurant.

Très bel hotel mais désuet
L'hotel est très bien placé avec une vue magnifique sur tout Nauplie. Les bungalows sont très bien aménagés, modernes et très propres. Le seul défaut est la climatisation qui est extrêmement bruyante. L'état des parties communes laisse à désirer et auraient besoin d'une bonne rénovation. On a un peu l'impression d'être dans un hotel fantôme. Les petits déjeuners ne sont pas dignes d'un hotel de cette catégorie. Nous avons ressenti directement les effets de la crise car il y avait très peu de monde en plein mois d'août ce qui implique une réduction d'effectif et de moyens mais pas des prix qui restent malgré tout élevés pour la Grèce. Toutefois, une mention particulière au restaurant très bon et merveilleusement bien situé.

Beautiful view of the harbor and city from up at the fortress. Wonderful food at the restaurant with friendly and very attentive staff. Has an elevator down to street level if you don't want to walk.

Der einzige Punkte der die 5 Sterne erfüllt ist die schöne Aussicht. Ansonsten ist alles etwas veraltet. Das Bad benötigt ein dringendes update. leider hat man es nicht geschafft während unseres 4 tägigen Aufenthalts einen funktionierenden WIFI Zugang bereitzustellen. Ingesamt ist der Unterschied zu anderen echten 5 Sterne Hotels leider sehr gross! Obwohl der Preis deutlich höher liegt!

DON’T STAY HERE
This hotel is partially abandoned. Take the negative reviews seriously—they are accurate. The staff tries to satisfy, but the hotel is literally falling apart. The rates they are charging are atrocious considering the condition of the property. The absolute worst hotel we stayed at all vacation.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights last week. We made the reservation before reading some of the on-line reviews. After reading the reviews, some of which were pretty negative, we almost cancelled, but elected to go ahead with the reservation. That proved to be an excellent decision, as we absolutely loved Nafplia Palace Hotel. The location is fantastic, the room was one of the most amazing I have ever stayed at, service and food were wonderful. We chose a villa with a private pool, and paid an extra fee to heat the pool, which was very nice. The room was huge. There are many electrical switches in the room, and that took some getting used to, as well as a bit of instruction from the staff, but this was just a small distraction rather than a big issue. We had a rental car, so the plentiful free parking was a benefit. Our experience was excellent, but from some of the other reviews it may depend on what room you get, and in our case we have no complaints. If we go back to mainland Greece we would look forward to staying here again. Part of the hotel consists of villas, and another part, which is currently closed, is comprised of what we were told are conventional hotel rooms. We were very happy with the villa we were assigned.

The room was amazing. Comfortable bed with reclining option. The pool was not heated which meant it was ice cold. There is an elevator that takes you down to the town which is extremely convenient. Breakfast was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

The hotel location is fantastic and the view is the best you can get in Nafplio but the property is run down. The pool areas are furnished with extremely old cheap loungers and overall you get a feeling of abandonment. The rates are insane given the existing condition and the amenities.

This hotel is like a post-apocalyptic Stanley Kubrick film set. The brutalist modern design from the 70s is stunning and the views are unparalleled, but the actual hotel is closed because it need renovations - only the villas are open - and there is a sense that the property might literally be shuttered at any moment. We had only lukewarm water, the light in our room didn't work – nor most of the 20 70s-high-tech gadgets like the privacy screen in the bathroom – and the wifi was out both evenings of our stay, but when I asked the lovely staff about these issues, I was met with blank stares and in one case, a defensive attitude. There are three elevators from the hotel that travel from the top of the fortress where the hotel is located through bedrock down into the town. Two of them are "temporarily" closed for repairs and, based on past reviews, appear to have been so for 2 years. The elevator opens out into a sort of underground lobby that is beautiful in the pictures on the website but, in fact, is dank and covered in graffiti. When I went for an early morning walk, I found an escort because I was scared of getting stuck in the elevator alone, and because I didn't know what I'd discover when the doors opened into the abandoned lobby. I hope that this hotel is able to restore its origin glory as it truly is a beautiful facility. But, until they do, I was extremely disappointed that they billed themselves as a luxury facility - and charged accordingly.

Management of the company does not improve the property - everything feels like it was created in the 1970s. Complaints are acknowledged by the staff, but its clear that they've heard it all before, and cannot do anything about it.

positives: check in staff/restaurant were kind and friendly, the breakfast & view lovely,however, 1st room (we paid for the ambassador suite with private pool) initially given room 401. Size was great ,but, even for pre-covid standards the room was unhygenic. There was a sticky beverage spill down front of mini kitchen cupboard, the bathroom counters had staining, water and appeared to not have been cleaned. There were liquid stains around the toilet and running down wall behind the toilet. The room smelled very musty and unclean. The patio furniture was coming apart. 3 staff came to see and all agreed not to standard so bought us a drink while we waited another hour for another room (already past 5 pm). The next room was significantly smaller but cleaner. We were tired & took the room but it was not the 950-1150 sq foot size of ambassador suite, rather approx. 650 sq feet one bathroom sink, no sink/microwave. No renumeration for the difference in suite level, told it was ambassador suite but no ambassador suite online was close to that small. The pool had wall unit and jets to swim as a lap pool, they said never hooked up the jets & pool not heated, cold. No wifi reception - staff said that wing of hotel never has. It is problem for those needing to do any business or streaming. Elevators to the town were broken & driveway up hill too long and steep for most to walk. Had to drive & parking challenging in town. Maritsa & George the luggage assistant were great.

Das Hotel hat eine grossartige Lage mit umwerfender Aussicht auf Stadt und Argolis. Un den 1960er Jahren als ambitionierte Architektur errichtet, ist es heute ohne Leben und wird nur noch mit dem nötigen Aufwand irgendwie am laufen gehalten. Die Zimmer kahl bei noch sichtbarem großen Stil vergangener Jahre, es bröckelt überall. Hälfte des Hotels geschlossen, bei Ankunft scheint man niemanden erwartet zu haben. Verwaistes Restaurant, keine Bar für Café oder Drink, die zum verweilen einlädt. Fazit: schlafen mit großartigem Ausblick in einem Haus aus der Vergangenheit ohne Leben und Service, dafür sind 355€ pro Nacht deutlich Zuviel. Sehr schade!

Wir hatten zwei Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick gebucht, bekommen hatten wir ein größeres Meerblockzimmer, obwohl wir eigentlich zwei bestellt hatten. Dann wurden wir für einen erheblichen Mehrpreis umgebucht, da wir zwei Zimmer wollten. Die Zimmer sind teilweise nicht im Zustand eines Fünfsterne Hotels. Insgesamt tolles Gebäude, aber viel zu teuer für den Standard.

We chose this hotel for the last 2 nights of our stay in Greece to be the "star" of our trip - the photos of the pool really caught my eye but in reality the large pool was a strange turquoise and I never saw them clean it - so I was not keen to go in (and I swim everywhere!) and there was a lot of noise from the work they are doing in the port - 2 large cranes are dragging dirt up from the bottom of the sea and putting it on huge boats to be carried away - which makes a lot of noise (October 2019). The infinity pool in the photos is for use by the bungalow but it is small - smaller than you imagine from the photos. The staff are cold and professional but clearly this is just a day job and they look at every guest as a walking wallet rather than being warm and caring - the only hotel we stayed in where we felt like we were being given a favor that we could stay there - and the place was pretty empty! The only exception were the staff in the breakfast room who were lovely and attentive and very warm. Shame they can't replace the lobby staff! We changes rooms as the twin beds were fixed in place to the floor and around the fixtures the carpet was all threadbare and looked not very appealing... but in the end the other room they gave us was less nice and much more noisy - to sit on the balcony you felt you were inside other families, so we ended up moving back to the first room. The hotel is exciting - you are up on the top of the cliff with views but we didn't enjoy it

This hotel is a very old hotel, late 60' early 70' I think. NO WIFI (only in lobby) I got a refurbished room. very nice. I got a glimpse on other rooms. not as nice. Common areas are remained old un-refurbished. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The best thing about this place, is the amazing view, overlooking the town and the sea. My room was very spacious and comfortable. Balcony with wood floor, very comfortable furniture, clear glass rail, breathtaking view. Air jet bathtub and a large shower. TV in front of bathtub. The location is very special. it is up on top of a hill, so must use a car (or taxi) for going down-town.
