nice but disapointed top management
to remind this hotel is an hotel appartement (so comon hall with mini kitchen), very difficult to find(for instance not existing in GPS data base of car location agencies,and unknown by local people surroundings ), very close to the beach ,very nice interior swimming pool with beatiful view on the beach ,same for the roof top,but in an area in construction(noisy in the early morning and late evennning ; very nice staff , except top management not any flexibility or arrangement and charge room as maximum they can (for instance late evenning arrival and midgniht departure without breakfasts taken will be charge as 2 full nights)

Another great stay at Al Hail Waves!
We booked another night here at the end of our Oman cycle trip and it was excellent again. Great room with super comfy bed, all really clean - and quiet too. We had another really good meal in the hotel restaurant - highly recommended. I had paneer curry and my husband had seafood pad Thai. Fantastic! The chef is really good and Momodau who served us was super friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the breakfast too. A great place to stay if visiting Muscat with the friendliest staff ever 😁

Fast check in, very helpful staff on the front desk. Room ready early, upgraded without asking. Lovely large room- bed was super comfy. Pool area was amazing Will definitely stay again

Excellent choice
Facility was very nice and staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was great. The only thing I’d change was the pillows. They were very full and firm. No complaints past that.

Very nice staff, quiet area, atm near by, good food, and a very decent room with a nice seaview. No places for sunbading, very few services around, only cold water at the evenings, very long and too expensive taxi trip to the center, the beach and neigbourhood were messy. Nothing to do there actually

we had no problem check in late at night it was hard to find this hotel from the highway, especially at night breakfast was good . hotels in general are not cheap in muscat. this was a 3 star hotel

Not a place I would come back
This is no way a 4 star hotel as claimed. The neighbourhood is almost barren and very difficult to get a cab. The hotel facilities are minimal where the breakfast was also not bufffet due to low occupancy!! The cleanliness looked compromised.

Weit weg vom Zentrum
Das erste Zimmer, das uns angeboten wurde, war ein Loch, das Bett in die Ecke gequetscht und es hat unangenehm gerochen. Das zweite war besser, aber richtig wohlgefühlt haben wir uns leider nicht.

very nice hotel , clean, friendly staff, well located in the outskirts of Muscat very good value for money ,better than many overpriced hotels in the country; a big plus is proximity to the beach ideal for walks or cross training in the sunset ,nice swimming pool

Expectations and hopes dashed...
The hotel staff were really very sweet and helpful - including giving us a late check out - HOWEVER that really could not compensate for the overall state of the hotel which was lacking on so many levels. It was probably the biggest 'website photos to reality' differential I have ever experienced. The main issue was cleanliness - we were on the 4th floor (a smoking floor despite requesting non smoking) and it was just really really grubby. They did offer to move us to non smoking but as it was midnight and most floors seemed similar, sleep seemed more important. The bath tub was grimy, the floor dusty, there was a used towel left in the bathroom and a dirty broken ironing board outside the room in the shared 'kitchenette' (aka dirty sink unit). The handle was missing on the window which wouldn't close and the safe didn't work. So I guess the verdict is clear - it was not a good stay and I could not recommend it. Cleanliness is the main issue and as for location, I still have no real idea where we were or what landmarks we are close to other than a busy dual carriageway in an incomprehensible road system. I would strongly advise the owners to look into cleaning it and renovating it and certainly more realistic pictures on the website!! nothing worse than selling one thing (rather dreamy views of the sea in a fairly plush looking spacious room) and then presenting a completely different grim reality - it just creates disappointment.

A bit too Noisy - tiled floors, shared "kitchens"
Not ideal for visiting Muscat - too far. Close to airport. With tiled floors and mini community kitchen areas between rooms, it's is a bit too noisy until late at night.

Great hotel for the price, can't be beat
Near the airport so I don't know where the traveller who wrote that he couldn't find it ended up driving. Extremely helpful front desk and bell-hop. Room is exactly what a budget hotel should aspire to. Not too fancy but clean and neat. I liked the cooking area in front of the rooms but we were woken up by noisy neighbors the next morning hanging out, but no big deal. Nice quiet area about a block behind the beach. A few good restaurants just downstairs. Breakfast was decent but basic, but good quality and plentiful. Big proper king size bed. Very nice staff.
