Hôtel bien situé, mais prestations très moyennes
Hôtel très bien situé à côté de Gateway of India. Par contre, l'hôtel est vieillot. Le service est satisfaisant. Le petit-déjeuner est correct.

Décevant
Déception à la découverte de la chambre : pas de fenêtre, pas de savon, chambre non nettoyée, salle de bain très vétuste et pas nettoyée. Durant 4 jours, seules les serviettes ont été changées et les lits faits mais pas de ménage (ni balayage dans la chambre, ni nettoyage de la sdb). Sinon, terrasse (bar et restaurant) sympa et personnel convivial. Belle vue sur la mer et la porte de l'Inde. Très près du centre de Colaba.

Trop cher pour ce que c'est
A notre arrivée (15h) on nous propose une guest room !! pour 45euros la nuit .... après des heures de négociations (19h30) on nous propose une autre chambre un peu plus grande.. on pouvait au moins faire le tour du lit dans celle ci ! Qualité toujours assez basse, l'hôtel ne se repose que sur sa situation géographique dans le quartier colaba. Les petits dej sont classiques, pas exceptionnel ... le restaurant est pas mal et les prix correct avec vue sur le port. En revanche, le personnel est assez agréable et souriant, il nous a fait apprécier le séjour. En conclusion, rapport qualité/prix à revoir, mieux vaut s'éloigner du quartier pour trouver des hôtels corrects, a prix raisonnable.S'orienter vers le centre ville, ou marine drive suivant le budget.

CHAMBRE SINGLE A EVITER ABSOLUMENT
Mauvaise impression de cet hotel car chambre single réservée et très mauvaise surprise par rapport au prix payé !!! chambre minuscule et très médiocre faisant penser à 1 chambre de service ; pas de vue de mer mais ouverture minuscule sur l 'arrière ; aucun effort commercial de la direction ; PDJ médiocre servi ds 1 petite pièce sans table !!! possibilité d 'aller sur la terrasse; en revanche chambres doubles confortables et vue de mer ; bonne situation géographique dans COLABA et hotel près du mythique TAJ !!!

Beaucoup de mauvaise fois devant notre réservation
Nous avions réservé deux nuits Il nous a été demandé 50% de supplément pour la troisième personnes bien que la réservation était pour trois Un autre supplément pour la clim, internet qui figurait sur la réservation ( en français). Devant l'impasse, la seule négociation possible a été de ne rester qu'une nuit pour le prix des deux nuits payés d'avances. L’hôtel est très bien placé, mal entretenue, le petit déjeuner est correct.

Dans l'ensemble l'hôtel est correct mais il y a des améliorations à apporter : on a dû réclamer du papier wc, il y avait une sauterelle et deux vers de terre dans la douche. Les rideaux de douche étaient très sales, ils devraient être remplacés, ainsi qu'une couche de peinture ne ferait pas de tort. Points positifs : petit déjeuner varié et personnel ok. La terrasse sur le toit est un de leur point fort ! Très prisée.

I have paid for single room and arrived 23.50 pm at the hotel. They said I had not paid, they didn’t find the reservation and it took them one hour to give me a room as walk in, when I had previously paid for the room

It was a nice and quiet place. Staff was helpful and was generous enough to keep my bags for 4 extra hours after checkout. The rooftop restaurant and bar was super awesome. Room was ok except that the AC in my room was not working and was not responding to the remote. Not a big deal as it was not hot. But something the hotel should make sure it works before someone checks in.

A Memorable Stay at Sea Palace Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sea Palace Hotel in Colaba, Mumbai, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped foot into this vintage hotel, I felt like I had traveled back in time to old Bombay. The hotel's location is simply superb, overlooking the Arabian Sea and just a stone's throw away from the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel. The check-in process was swift and hassle-free, contrary to some reviews I had read. The staff at Sea Palace Hotel were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable. I had the privilege of staying in a sea view room, and it exceeded all my expectations. The room was impeccably clean and fresh, and the space provided was quite generous. The bathrooms were also well-maintained and spotless. Although I had booked breakfast, I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to enjoy it. However, the staff was incredibly accommodating and understanding of our situation. I stayed at the Sea Palace Hotel for a total of five days, and I can confidently say that I will choose this hotel again for my future visits to Mumbai. The price I paid for the excellent location and top-notch service was definitely worth it. The managers and staff at Sea Palace Hotel truly believe in the mantra that the customer is king. They made us feel welcome and treated us like family throughout our stay. Lastly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Sea Palace.

Excellent Hotel
The Sea Palace Hotel is in the most amazing location overlooking the harbour and 2 mins walk from the Gateway to India. Lots of shopping and excellent places to eat and drink in the vicinity. Also the hotel had its own roof top bar/restaurant which is lovely in the evenings. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Mumbai. I already recommending this hotel to my friends. Thank you Sea Palace Hotel for a most remarkable stay in Mumbai. No frills hotel but the bed was comfortable, the AC worked and there was running hot water. The room was plain and small. The sea view room that we booked was not available (despite having called and confirmed a day prior) but they did provide a smaller non view room. Breakfast was good. Location was excellent.

Poor service , terrible rooms they need to renewait the rooms . The paints were chip . Every were there were spider webs and bothrooms were horrible in place. All the furniture was out dated and Air conditions was in bad conditions. Rooms were having nasty smell . Breakfast was ok the good part of Breakfast was the serve you fresh omelets on the table of your choice. Overall very very bad experience .

A good value
The hotel is right on the seafront; it is quite rundown, and the room was very basic, but the beds were comfortable. The breakfast included omelettes cooked to order and various Indian dishes. The great location, sea-facing window, and warm, helpful staff made our overall experience very pleasant

Hotellet, som er under renovering, har en fantastisk beliggenhed! Nogle af værelserne er endnu ikke sat i stand og fremstår ret gammeldags, men det betyder ikke noget for oplevelsen! Jeg bor på Sea Palace Hotel hver gang jeg er i Mumbai og hver gang er det en fornøjelse.

Sea Palace Hotel | Sea Facing
The location of the hotel was really good as it was next to The Gate Way of India and Taj Hotel. Hotel has 2 restaurant, one on the rooftop and another in the front- both facing the sea. Hotel entry and elevator will make you feel that the hotel is old but rooms are fairly upgraded. Staff is really polite and quick in service. Breakfast was a bit disappointing because of less number of items but food quality was fine. If I would ever come back to Colaba, I would definitely book it for its true value for money and location.

Where is my Sea View?
The hotel is ok to stay at, clean and readily comfortable for the price. The area is fantastic - many interesting places are in walking distance. The hotel got marked down as I booked a room with a sea view (which is very beautiful) but didn’t get one.

It was totally mess, staff is dumb and completely unprofessional. It took 45 minutes for check in and 30 minutes to check out. Please never stay at this hotel.

When we arrived we were disappointed with room because we paid top dollar but after talking with manager was upgraded. What a difference this made, room was beautiful and view of harbour. We can only say staff were exceptional and made our stay memorable

Simple stay for night type
It's simple bed for the night hotel. Less to expect for breakfast, normal working b'fast with less choice and low quality. Discourteous service. Only thing to be on the positive is its location near the Gateway.

It may reflect hotel prices in Mumbai but this is definitely a £10-£20 a night hotel anywhere else in India. Surly and unfriendly staff at check in, noisy and poorly air conditioned rooms. The only plus points were location (very close to the Gateway) and breakfast

Para turistas extranjeros no es lo adecuado. Les falta mantenimiento están ya muy viejo el hotel . La ubicación es lle único factor aceptable y el personal hace lo que puede. Lástima que no lo han modernizado .

Dado que el hotel está siempre ocupado, la renovación del edificio se realiza a la velocidad de una habitación a la vez. Con suerte, cuando nos visite la próxima vez, tendrá un nuevo y modernizado Sea Palace Hotel

Not top to expectations.
We have stayed here before and had a far better experience. It was very expensive for what it was. The prices in the restaurant were expensive as were the drinks. The breakfast was OK, the service was better though. The room was cleaned everyday. If I was in Mumbai again I would probably look elsewhere.

Comfortable, and great location
We had a seafront room for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with an ensuite bathroom also with sea view. The staff provided good service, and a simple buffet breakfast was included. We loved the location, which enabled us to walk to the Gateway of India for a morning boat trip to Elephanta Caves, and later walk towards town to see the great stone British-era buildings and enjoy the life of the city. Room rate and food prices seemed high for India, but perhaps not for Mumbai. Fun rooftop bar/cafe!

Great small hotel, beautifully located next to Taj
I was welcomed at Reception and acknowledged as a long standing customer, up graded to the Appolo room , which was excellent. Although I had not stayed there for 18mths, the porter and restaurant staff recognised me and took great care of me throughout my stay. I travel on my own, this was very reassuring. I would definitely recommend the Sea Palace in Colaba Mumbay. The Terrasse Restaurant is a great Refuge after a day out!.

No minimum conditions
No hot water. We didnt shower for three days, everyday the promised that the problem will be fixed tomorrow. I guess there is a reason for the low price..

Very well located Hotel with great rooftop bar
I would highly recomend it if what you want is to be in the right spot, you are 8 buildings away from the Taj Mahal Palace and 3 minutes walk from Gate of India. The hotel has a really nice rooftop bar where you can have a cold beer with great vies to the Gate of India while listening to some nice music. I was travelling alone, and think this was just the right place to be. The owner of the hotel is a very nice person who would really take care of you and make sure you feel like at home at his hotel. Mumbai is very expensive so expect just a basic room with a not very confortable bed. The breakfast is good enough.

Don't Let the View Fool You
The room was nothing like the photos in hotels.com. We were supposed to have a king size bed. It was two twins pushed together. There was no hot water, the bathroom was dirty and the floor tiles were coming up off the floor. I was very disappointed. Location was good and convenient. Luckily we didn't spend much time at hotel.
