Top of Bluff location, expansive patio to spread out, stargazing perfection, gorgeous view, quiet neighborhood, private fishing pond with EZ-access. Close enough to town for quick in and out, but far enough out to be serene & quiet.
Sleeps 5 comfortably, 6 if share double bed. See bedroom configuration for details. There are 1.5 bathrooms. 7.5 miles from Mountain View city square.

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had most everything we needed, except for plastic cups (for our kids). The back porch is lovely, and there’s an additional small cabin that we were informed could be added on if a renter so desired. The fishing pond across the gravel road brought much delight to us, as we all caught & released many fish. We only tried to use the TV once, and the streaming was weak. The beds were comfortable & we enjoyed exploring Mountain View and the Sylamore trails and Gunner creek. The caverns are a must see! DJ was very responsive.

The pictures posted were accurate. The house was clean and modernized and had a wonderful view of a valley behind in the back. All appliances worked great and the kitchen had all we needed to cook. The owner gave great directions and it was easy to find. We especially enjoyed the firepit out back and there was plenty of firewood. We always stay in VRBO rentals on vacation and I have to say this was the best one we've stayed at.

One of the best!

This is an amazing property! The cabin is wonderfully decorated and situated, with a view that is priceless. Beds are comfortable and all the furniture, dish ware and cook ware are top notch. The owner, DJ, said that his wife was the chief decorator and her expertise is abundantly clear. We had a glitch in checking in, apparently from a difficulty DJ had in communicating with VRBO, but VRBO and DJ were responsive to our problem and it was worked out. DJ hung in there until the issue was resolved and we eventually got access to the cabin. I would emphasize that this was not the owner’s fault
it was just one of those things. Back to the property
We LOVED the solitude and privacy. The cabin is on the top of a ridge and you can see forever. It’s the second or third last property on a road that stops at the top of the mountain
so no traffic except for house owners. We saw 2 cars on the road in 3 days. It’s a nice and beautiful drive into Mountain View We’ve stayed at VRBO’s for many, many years and this place is in our top three, of any place in the country. Thanks to DJ and his wife for sharing their cabin. Phil & Mary

August getaway

A well needed getaway. Easy to get to and a great town that is a short drive away. The view from the back porch is incredible and it was very quiet. We stayed for 8 nights and only saw one car drive past the cabin. The place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will be looking for this place in the future.

The cabin was great. Just as advertised. Quiet and relaxing. The back patio area was better than the pictures even show. Great views and abundant wildlife. We had such a wonderful stay in your lovely cabin! We needed this after losing my husband a few months ago. The cabin was warm & welcoming! We felt right at home & enjoyed all the personal touches such as the games & puzzles, the soft blankets and a fully equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was just amazing & we took advantage of the front & back porches! The tree orchard was beautiful & wr got to see a deer come up in the yard. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Very clean, lots of room, this cabin is on a country road with no traffic. Exactly as pictured. Very quiet and remote but only about 15 min. to town. We could have sat on the front porch or the back patio forever. No problems with anything in the cabin. Very comfortable king bed. Kitchen has gas stove which we prefer. If you are wanting a clean comfortable place to stay with seclusion this is the place.

Wonderful place to stay

We enjoyed the space the cabin had to offer as we are used to cramped cabins. Not stepping on each other’s toes was a big plus. We were a little disappointed in not being able to use the wood stove although the heating unit did a great job of keeping the place warm. We made great use of the outdoor fire pit. No luck finding any fish in the pond even though we tried.

Awesome Weekend Getaway

We’ve been coming to Mountain View for years to visit friends & have stayed in many places, but none compare to this home! The views are spectacular! The cabin is beautiful and was absolutely spotless & very well appointed. Check-in was super easy. We are already planning our next visit!!
