It was only a short stay but the hotel was easy to find, the staff very helpful and pleasant. We had to leave early in the morning, but were served a continental breakfast before opening.

Great stay
Very nice hotel made so much more pleasant by great staff. I was on a business trip and feeling unwell and the staffs kindness made it so much nicer. Could not fault their personal service. Also food was excellent. Had the haggis bon bons yummy!!

Fab stay!
Had a great stay at this hotel, chosen for proximity to the motorway on a long journey. We were very pleased with the room....warm, cosy and comfortable with the best shower I have ever had. The breakfast was top notch....made to order and absolutely delicious! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lots of noise from room above but otherwise great.
I've stayed here quite a few times now and generally had no major problems. Same this time however I was in one of the rooms on the lower floor to the rear of the hotel. The room iteslf was great, comfortable bed, large modern bathroom. But whowever was in the room above made an awful lot of noise. Like running up and dowm the room and bouncing on the floor? Fortunately it didn't go on through the night. But the sound proofing between the rooms seems to have been skimped on a little. Other than that the food was excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful as ever.

Only stayed here one night to break up a journey, but lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming staff, breakfast was tasty nice atmosphere to the hotel. Main road and people passing were quite noisy but couldnt be helped, all in all exactly what we were looking for :)

Booked this hotel for 2 weeks at beginning of August. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was reasonably appointed, functional and clean. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent with porridge, cereal, fruit juice, full cooked breakfast and toast with tea or coffee. One major criticism was the WiFi, which is OK downstairs but in the room was very poor., often dropping out, and unable to cope with multiple devices. Get the WiFi sorted and this would be a 5* review. Hotel location is ideal at heart of the central Road network to all parts of Scotland. It’s a mere 10 mins into Glasgow itself. Motherwell has an array of shopping available, if required, and roads aren’t that busy considering proximity to a major city.

The service was either great or bad. The front desk service was great. The room was very far and if someone had disabilities it would not be accessible. There were no elevators that we noticed either. The room was stuffy, and got extremely hot and humid because the air didn't circulate well. We had to open the window to cool down the room. The walls between the rooms and hall are very thin and we could hear the tv from another room very clearly as well as room doors being banged shut. The breakfast food was good, dinner was ok.

Great hotel but a couple of minor issues this stay
Stayed here a few times now and always had a pretty good experience. Staff are freindly and helpful. Food is good and the rooms are pleasant and comfortable. A couple of minor issues during this particular stay though. The TV signal kept breaking up and was unwatchable. The TV's in some of the rooms are a bit dated and old now and I don't think they've ever been re-tuned! I suspect a problem with the antenna cable or distribution amp. This sadly is not uncommon in many hotels, not just this one, I think there should be some sort of maintainence check done periodically. Also the Wi-Fi seemed very slow for some reason. It's usually been OK when I've stayed here before. Both issues were reported to reception on checkout.

Wedding event
Stayed for a second time, we love the hotel, room 15 we had this time, was clean and tidy but shower pressure wasnt the best, we had food and was very nice, hot and fresh, drinks reaonably priced, the staff couldn't do enough for you from the front of house to the waitresses and managers alike, we had a wedding reception here and we had a 3 course meal, the room was lovely , area is fine, a couple of pubs walking distance that we ventured too and people were very friendly and pubs nice, v quiet hotel and suited us fine, we will be back
