« the house was great for our needs - it was nicely furnished fully stocked with the essentials in the kitchen. the host checked in when it was especially cold to ensure the heat and water were working correctly. the living room was very comfortable with leather reclining chairs and a gas fireplace that heated the room very well. We enjoyed how easy our stay was and recommend this location »

« Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. « Where do I begin--- 1) upon checking in Friday a maintenance guy was parked in the driveway so I had to contact the owner where to park since the property is on a very narrow road and there is no available street parking, 2) maintenance guy was on the property for almost 2 hours to get heat and hot water working, 3) I was instructed to turn up the heat to heat up the water (that didn't work, couldn't take comfortable warm showers at bedtime after a long travel day), 3) left early in the morning...
