« The room was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed, bathroom was also spotless and again had everything needed The staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed from arrival. The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. « The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners.
