This renovated 4 bedrooms + 3 full bathrooms Plateau Mont-Royal apartment offers a fully stocked kitchen, a laundry room, high-speed internet & a 200 sf terrace. It is surrounded by restaurants, cafés, shopping & many attractions.
Le Plateau Mont-Royal is one of the most popular and vibrant places to stay in Montreal. It has a ton of shops and cafés as well as many "mom and pop" stores.
Mont-Royal Avenue, Mount Royal Mountain, and St-Laurent Boulevard are less than a 5-minute walk. Whether it is for a family vacation, a friend's reunion, or a business trip, this apartment is perfect.
Let's talk parking... Some free street parking can be found at times on the surrounding streets, but guests will need to be careful with the complicated signage that is in French only.
We will try to reserve our on-site parking for guests with mobility issues or small infants, but we will consider all requests. It should be noted that only smaller sedans will fit in the space. C$30/night. It is MANDATORY to use both the steering wheel lock bar and boot while parked in our reserved on-site parking.
The closest indoor parking garage is located at 400 rue de Malines.
Taxis or Uber are also easily found in Montreal.
OTHER NOTES:
- Once you book this space, you will have access to the whole apartment located on the 2nd floor.
- There are 12 steps to climb from the street level.
- There is NO elevator.
- You will receive an SMS once VRBO confirms your reservation. It will ask you to reconfirm your phone number and to send us your means of travel.
- You must be at least 25 years of age to book this apartment. Anyone under the age of 21 not accompanied by a parent will need to provide the parent's or legal guardian's consent in writing.
- No 3rd party reservations will be accepted. The person making the reservation must be present during the stay, but doesn't need to be the 1st to arrive.
- We charge a high cleaning fee only to save our guests on taxes. The real cleaning fee is much lower. For this reason, you will be asked to perform a few simple tasks at checkout. We ask that you please load the dishwasher and start it, that you gather your garbage, seal the bags, and bring them to the back alley, and that you put the WHITE towels ONLY in the laundry machine and start it (the detergent is provided). Our cleaning staff will take care of the beds (we like to spray them before washing) and everything else.
- Luggage can NOT be dropped off before check-in or left in the apartment after check-out. Our staff will not clean if guests' personal belongings are in the apartment.
- Early check-in and late check-out requests will be considered based on staff availability and will cost $60. If the request comes less than 10 days before check-in, the cost will rise to $150. The new check-in time will be 2 pm and the new check-out time will be 1 pm.
- *We reserve the right to charge between $100 and $300 +tx to anyone not performing the required checkout tasks or to anyone leaving after the agreed-upon checkout time.
- There are NO regular TV channels other than the Samsung TV channels, but you can use your accounts for streaming services.
- It is important to note that travel insurance should be purchased by all travellers to protect personal belongings and last-minute trip cancellations or interruptions. Please look into it before you book any trip around the world.
- We have all the permits necessary to rent short-term in our city. We are certified by the Quebec Tourism Board and are a registered business in the province of Quebec. We can provide receipts and tax numbers upon request. We can also provide separate bills for other corporate rentals upon request.
- In addition to the pack-and-play, we can provide a standard crib, but it must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance. A $50 + tx fee will be applied for assembly and preparation upon arrival.
- With the rise of car theft in Montreal, anyone driving in should consider bringing a steering wheel lock bar or any other device that could keep the car from driving away (like a car boot). Anyone driving SUVs, especially Toyota Highlander, Honda CRV, any type of Lexus, Jeep (all kinds), Pickup trucks, or Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, are encouraged to use indoor lots (the closest is located at 400 rue de Malines, a 10-minute walk away). As a courtesy, we have a steering wheel bar available that guests can borrow.
- **FAB HomeRentals will not be held responsible for any thefts, incidentals, or anything "parking related" **. By renting our apartment or our parking, guests acknowledge that they understand and agree to these terms.
- *This apartment has an outdoor-facing camera in the front entrance. No live feed. For break-in prevention only.
- We cannot ship any items left behind after checkout.
- Non-smoking policy: Cigarettes and cigars are tolerated only if smoked OUTSIDE. Marijuana is NOT permitted on the premises, not even on the front terrace. When smoking outside, please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
- Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 9 am. Music will be tolerated between 9 am and 10 pm, provided the neighbours do not complain.
- Loud parties are not permitted. If a noise complaint comes up, VRBO will be immediately notified, and guests could be asked to leave.
- Pets are not permitted on the premises. Neighbouring pets are also not allowed in the apartment.
- Movie rentals are not permitted without prior approval, but will be possible if paid for in advance.

When we walked in, everyone was wowed. Very nice apartment. Very good location on St. Denis. Well equipped kitchen.
Only problem was with parking. Very dense neighborhood, difficult to drive and impossible to park. We used the host recommended parking at the hotel 10 minutes away. Next time to Montreal, we'll stick with public transit.

Communication with hosts was seamless, easy to get in and we secured additional parking through the owners which was helpful.
The house is well appointed, plenty of beds and kitchen supplies.
The neighborhood is wonderful, being right on Saint Denis was so convenient.
We were a family of four, there was room for all of us and we probably could have fit another family in there comfortably.
Oh and our kids loved the showers/ the kids with all the extra nozzles for a spa like experience!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable, lovely apartment on a wonderful street in a great city. Our hosts were extremely attentive to all details, but not intrusively so. On the first night of our stay we had some issues with late night/early morning partying going on in the apartment below us, but Frédérique took care of it swiftly and it was blessedly quiet for the rest of the weekend. Thanks so much for a great weekend and we hope to stay here again.

Our family of seven adults had a nice stay in this 2nd floor apartment. The space is well laid out, with excellent kitchen appliances and supplies, updated bathrooms, plenty of beds (though some complained beds were hard), easy check-in/check-out, great communication with owner. This apartment does show some wear relative to the photos, but minor. As is common in older buildings, you will hear footfalls of people in the apt above. There is some street noise in the front bedroom, but our city dwelling family members didn't notice. The three other bedrooms were very quiet. Parking is literally next door and although you must pay to park, it was not an excessive fee for a major city like Montreal. Location is within easy access to metro and bus lines. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bars in the immediate neighborhood. We tried to go skating at nearby La Fontaine Park but the ice had warmed up, and we eventually find some skating on Mont Royal. As it was winter, we did not use the terrace but imagine it would be a nice feature in warmer weather. Overall, would happily recommend this property!

A family of three generations visited a McGill senior. With various people coming and going, this space is welcoming and embracing with deep comfort and sparkling cleanliness. The neighborhood is varied and fun; we walked all over from this center. We ate out or ate in with easy deight. Overall we had a wonderful stay and the layout was perfect for our extended family. Property was very well located however we were a little disappointed that from the time we viewed the property to the time we actually stayed there (6 months) it was a little worse for wear. We were under the impression it would be painted and given a total refresh just before our stay. For its price point some things were lacking - sheets could use an upgrade, dollar store products were a surprise, and upholstered furniture and area rug needed a good cleaning. The front steps are rather hazardous for those with mobility issues - not great curb appeal either.
On the positive side - the hosts were fabulous and did provide things in a timely manner when asked. If it wasn't on the high end of the rental rate it would be a 5 star - we were just expecting something exceptional.

This was an amazing place to hold a family reunion. We rented both this apartment and the one above it. We had 10 adults and 4 children in the 2 spaces and it was perfect. Especially nice to have all the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate 5 dinners there.
The balcony was great for breakfast and family dinners. The outside spiral staircase was helpful for connecting the 2 apartments. We did not have to go down the front stairs and deal with locked doors.
The owners were wonderful to work with. We had a glitch with the code at check in and they handled it promptly and well. They even sent us a "treat" to make up for the delay.
The location is great. We had a short walk to the metro, restaurants, groceries, bakeries and wine shops. We could also walk in many directions for attractions.
I just can't say enough about the location, the size and condition of the apartment, the wonderful hosts.

Guess guide was very informative, including parking procedures. Beds were comfortable to sleep in with good bedding.
Neighborhood is easy access to subway, $19 for a 3 day pass, got us pretty much anywhere we needed to go. All other places very walkable.
Neighborhood had several breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream and coffee options.
Loved this place. Worked well for 2 families of 4.
