The room and staff were great. My son, who is seventeen, says he would have like more activities, but overall enjoyed himself. The food quality does not allign with the prices. After eating at the on site restaurants one round, we decided to venture off the property to eat. Discovered two restaurants that made up for what the on site restaurants lacked.

The resort was great and the room was clean and nice, however there wasn't much restaurants/bars on the property that were actually open. I have food allergies so it was difficult to find much that I could eat so we actually had to leave the property for most meals. Also, the adults only swim area had loud screaming kids in it every time we went down to the pool/Jacuzzi. My husband and I took our trip WITHOUT our kids for a reason. Apparently there was no staff patrolling the area. Parking was a bit confusing on site as well.

With the exception of the valet parking personnel, the customer service inside the hotel is null. Front desk people are harsh. Also, I had the no disturb sign and housekeeping still enter the room. When I call front desk or housekeeping, no one answered the phone.

Before booking I called and asked if the lazy River and pools would be heated and the answer was yes .We got there only for the pools to be super cold and lazy River as well .

Stayed in a Lake Cottage, it was neat & clean and parking was convenient. Landshark Bar & Grill had no music, staff said speakers were broken and had been for a while. How can you have any JB experience without music? License to Chill Cafe & Bar was a disaster. We sat at the bar and drank beer after each requested drink was not able to be made, this made our service was okay but bartenders were not trained. They made drinks & charged with bottom shelf even though the guest ordered top shelf brands due to them not having keys/access to the liquor room to restock their bar. Their manager scolded the employees openly in front of bar guests. Dinner patrons had no service and had to go to bar and order themselves. Bartenders rolled eyes at& were blatantly rude to those dinner guests because they “were not their server.” Had this been my vacation and not a work trip I would have cried. I still will not return and do not recommend this place.

Renewed Tradition
We were pleasantly surprised at the fabulous upgrade that is the true resort: Margaritaville, from the years we’d watched the gradual decline of Del Lago (a former favorite). The accommodations are so customized that my daughter and family of 3 were cozy in a loft lake cabin, single son had a roomy lake-view, and my husband and I were ecstatic to have an executive suite where all could gather for private time, games,and snacks. The only downside was the weather that restricted our use of the numerous warm-weather amenities that tempted us into the hot tub and heated pool in spite of cool temperatures. We can’t wait to continue this as an annual family tradition.

We stayed one night, and picked an expensive suite, the suite is small, all smells like molds, the HVAC DO NOT WORK, kept it on all night to heat and it never heated, one of the light in the bedroom do not work, tried to make coffee in the morning and the coffee machine has black molds inside the water container… And on top of all of that they charged us 45 more dollars for a resort fee. More than the two hundreds some that they collected for the one night.

Property previous golf resort "remodeled" with the Margaritaville theme. Food was substandard (we ended going off property), staff was less than friendly. We paid in advance for our trip thru Expedia and when we checked in were told there is an additional $45 resort fee. Nothing mentioned in their description. The mini golf course was disgraceful. Lining missing or ripped on all but 2 holes. The only "Margaritaville" theme was a statute of a parrot and music in the background. The cafe doesn't open until 7 AM, so early risers don't have the option for a small snack. Plenty of seats outside to enjoy the views of the lake. For the price, it is just an remodeled golf resort that is in need of additional remodel and repair.

The room was filthy and extremely hot-I had to turn it down to 60 to make it even tolerable and even then I woke up sweating profusely because the a/c just wouldn’t kick on. The room was poorly stocked and had dirty countertops. The valet guys put my car in sports mode and put WAY more miles on it than is acceptable for a single valet park and a single trip to pick me up-only leaving me to believe the young guys were taking my almost brand new car for joy rides. Completely unacceptable and insanely overpriced.
