Cet étage a également l'air central.

La chambre confortable au troisième étage vous enchantera avec un lit double confortable, des poutres de cyprès authentiques, des draps pressés et des antiquités. Cet étage a également l'air central.

The Cooking Lesson With Benedetta Was An Amazing Experience!

Dear Pucci Family, We had a fantastic stay at Casa Alina. We arrived to the warm welcome of Laura and Roberto, who greeted us with kindness and a full Italian dinner cooked by Laura! The house is amazing, spacious and elegant. We enjoyed the local town of Montespertoli and our adventures in Florence. We really appreciated Certaldo's old center. We had the most amazing experience with Benedetta who offered us a cooking lesson, complete with Caprese salad, Lasagne, Chicken Cacciatore, Tiramisu, bread and wine. Definitely a MUST do! Our family had a splendid time. Thank you so very much. Warmly, Ann, Beth, Chad & Adin New York City & San Francisco

Perfect Beautiful Tuscany Home!

We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Alina in October of 2023. This property is magnificent! We loved the peaceful surroundings in a small town in Tuscany, and yet we were such a close drive to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa, Panzano, etc etc etc. Best of both worlds - enjoy the peaceful rolling hill's of Tuscany while getting to all of the best cites in Tuscany. Kimberly Pucci is a great owner! Awesome to communicate with us before booking AND We also want to say what an AMAZING treasure Alessandra Innocenti is as our local hostess. Alessandra took the time to communicate with us before during and after our trip to Casa Alina. Sometime several times a day while we were there! She is a treasure of Tuscany, a wealth of knowledge, and made great suggestions to us from what towns to visit, restaurants to eat at, the best places to shop, and on and on. She also helped arrange transportation for us, Francesco was also an amazing host and drive us from Rome to Casa Alina with a great trip through Florence. Our trip would not have been the same without Alessandra Innocenti! Italy should be proud of Alessandra! Book this property, you will be so happy you did!

Perfect in every way!

Staying at Casa Alina was one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Europe. From the moment you walk into the courtyard, you are taking a step back in time but soon realize you have all the modern conveniences of home. The villa was so well stocked, the only thing we needed to purchase was food. We were met by a precious couple who explained everything to us and who went above and beyond to see that we were settled. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. I give it 4 times the amount of stars allowed!

Fabulous in February!

On a dreary day in February, my sister and I arrived to find this hidden (literally –keep your eyes peeled for the sign Via Ortimino) gem nestled amongst the Tuscan hills, very conveniently located in the Montespertoli region. Upon our arrival we were met by Laura and husband Robert with arms loaded full of amazing lunch goodies! Little did we know how fond we would become of Laura’s amazing meals – including breakfast baskets stuffed to the rim with fresh eggs, yogourt, coffee, fruit and croissants. The villa is beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings, including the most amazing wrought iron beds with sheets that made it hard to climb out of bed each day in spite of the draw of Florence (30 min drive or train ride), of Lucca, of MONTECATINI Terme (amazing hot springs/spa), of Siena and so many neat little towns. Casa Alina is spotless, roomy and an oasis of comfort – we loved our 3 weeks there! Only thing we ‘missed’ was a full-size coffee maker however we did have fun with the traditional coffee brewer. We came to Italy from Canada and so expected to not find it as chilly as we did; in fact we ended up putting on the heat every day which in hindsight was more expensive than we had realized – next time we will incorporate this expense into our budget (Kimberley can provide an average cost to you in advance) should you visit in the winter months. As the owner, Kimberley made herself available to us at all times and was extremely responsive. We rented this fabulous little Fiat with a GPS that we nicknamed Maria whom never failed to get us from adventure to adventure! Can’t wait to return to Casa Alina in the future. Enjoy!!!

I could live here!

Dear Kimberly & Alessio, I never thought I could live anyplace other than my USA home. Now I know I can live in Italy. Your home and family made me love being here even better. I came here 10 years ago for my 40th Bday and came back now to celebrate my 50th---"Joy". Thank you for sharing. I feel so part of the culture. I now understand the wonder of being part of Italy!

Casa Alina was beyond our expectations in every aspect!

We stayed at Casa Alina for three weeks during the month of February. We felt at home in your home. When we walked in, the warm colours and warm feeling was so special. Your home is so elegant, comfortable and charming. Your kitchen had all the "tools" to cook anything we desired. So calm and peaceful. There is so much detail in the home. Nothing is overlooked. Even heated towel racks. I'm spoiled for life now! Your in the heam of Chianti vineyards and picture postcard views from every angle. Had sun and nice weather for mid February. Love the cats and rooster in the morning! Could not believe all the old architecture and how well it looks. Siena, Lucca were lovely day trips. Great food and wine tours you suggested were wonderful! The support you provided, the care and warmth of your family, the fabulous catered meals...were so very special and appreciated. Laura is amazing! And I hate to admit she put five pounds on us. Thank you and your family for making our stay one of the most wonderful travel experiences we have ever had! Hope to return soon...

Most Beautiful Place On Earth!

Kimberly, 10 years later and just as beautiful as ever! We had a wonderful time and I leave Casa Alina making a promise that it will not be 10 years until I return. We drive thru the countryside saying this is the most beautiful place on Earth. Thank you for sharing your home and keep in touch. Hopefully I will see you in RI. Oh- your mother-in-law is adorable. We just love her...and her food! Her cooking is fantastic, especially the cake. Maybe she can share the recipe :) Thanks again!

Comfortable rental unit in rural Tuscany

Casa Alina is located in Montespertoli, one of the many hilltop towns in Tuscan, not far from Florence. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which were roomy with large windows. The other bedroom is on the third floor right under the peak of the roof and quite small. Montespertoli is a quaint town in its own right, but was also a great base for exploring other historic Tuscan towns such as Siena, San Gimignano, and others. The local winery (formerly owned by the Machiavelli family) produces award winning Chianti and Vino Santo. We enjoyed an informative tour of their operation and sampling the goods over a delicious lunch. I would not hesitate to go back to Casa Alina if I could. I would certainly recommend it to friends and family who want to visit Italy while staying away from the hordes of tourists.

Wonderful stay!

We truly enjoyed our 9 day stay at Casa Alina. Your spacious home in the beautiful Tuscan countryside was the perfect location from which to make many day trips - Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Certaldo and we even managed to get in a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre, not to mention exploring nearby Montespertoli. Getting around was convenient with a rental car and GPS and we found it easy getting into Florence several times by parking in a lot outside of central Florence and taking the tram the rest of the way. On our arrival day, we enjoyed one of Laura's homemade meals with generous enough helpings for leftovers. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the North American electrical outlets and the washer and dryer - even laundry soap was provided! We were a group of three women on a girls getaway, so found ourselves spoiled in this spacious, comfortable home away from home. We would without doubt recommend this rental to anyone wanting to explore Tuscany.

Not what we expected

First, I have to say we had a wonderful week while staying at Casa Alina. We were 6 adults (3 couples) on vacation together and had a great time. That being said, we did a lot of research to find just the right rental while in Tuscany and it turned out that Casa Alina did not deliver on much of what we were expecting based on the description on VRBO. Here are the pros and cons of the property so hopefully you can decide what is best for your group. Pros: All the modern amenities were just as described--wifi, satellite tv, US outlets, A/C, washer/dryer. The kitchen was fantastic for a rental--lots of great cookware, glasses and silverware (we did a fare amount of cooking and it was all great). The entire house was clean. The furniture was fairly new and comfortable. The location is on a quiet road a full 5-minute drive from Montespertoli, a very cute Tuscan town. Cons: The pictures and description when we booked (8/2013) give the impression of a standalone 12th century villa. In reality, it is a townhouse with shared walls of 4 or so other properties. The enclosed backyard is about 15 sq ft of grass with a small patio just big enough for the outdoor table and chairs (for 6). We spent very little time out there mostly because of the mosquitos, but the "panoramic views of olive groves and vineyards" cannot be easily seen from the backyard because of the properties trees and shrubs. The one picture that is captioned "Backyard Views!" is not a view I ever saw from the backyard. The 3rd bedroom is not really a bedroom. It is a converted attic space slightly bigger than the full-size bed. There is a dresser and a chair, but no A/C and no real privacy. This space could be fine for kids/teens, but is not good for an adult couple. The main living space/tv room comfortably seats 3 adults. If a couple snuggled up on the love seat, you can make that 4. We had 6 adults and ended up not all sit in the living room together at the same time. Our group plan was to spend time in the house/on the property as a part of our vacation. We cooked and hung out together in the evenings. For that reason, this was not a good property for our group. Maybe for only 4 adults with the same vacation plan, in which case it would probably be too expensive. In summary, the place was safe, comfortable and clean. Depending on your vacation needs, it could be great; just be sure it fits all of your needs.

Wonderful vacation at Casa Alina

We had a great time at Casa Alina, while touring Tuscany area. The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We appreciated having a washer and dryer since we were without our luggage for a few days. We had 6 adults in our party and there was plenty of room in the home which was our base for the week. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals if needed. The home is surrounded by grape orchards and rolling hills and beautiful scenery. We especially enjoyed walking in the neighborhood which was recommended by Kimberly. Kimberly had many suggestions about what to do while in the area and our favorite place was the lunch and a wine tasting experience at the local castle, Castello Sonnino in Montespertoli. We also had many excellent meals at the local bakeries and restaurants and everyone in town did there best to communicate with us even though we did not speak the best Italian. Casa Alina was an excellent place to stay if you want to experience driving around Tuscany with the comforts of home.

An Oil Painting!

We had the pleasure of being guests at this beautiful home in the hills of Montespertoli. Upon arriving, we were so struck by the vistas whether in the frontyard or the back of the property. We felt as if we were in a live painting! The owner really understands the needs of the american traveler wanting an authentic experience in Tuscany. The house is beautifully appointed with a modern kitchen, stack on washer and dryer and immaculate modern bathrooms. The linens on the beds are very fine quality and the mattresses extremely comfortable. The antiques are all so charming with the mix of modern pieces. We have had many other experiences in Italy which lacked great amenities and where we needed to be flexible. This property is comfortable, romantic and a true tuscan experience. Off the beaten path yet so close to all sightseeing experiences, it was fantastic to return to the home each evening and be surrounded with a neighborhood instead of tourist type enviroment. All of Kimberly's recommendation were spot on including restaurants and Car Service Company that provided a private driver and car to bring us to various wineries including Altesino (fantastic!) and Banfi. The owner is a wealth of knowledge about Tuscany and is always willing to provide the information to design an itinerary to suit your needs.

Tuscan Countryside

Casa Alina, located on the outskirts of the small town of Montespertoli, is a hidden gem. A private home in a cluster of several other homes, the setting is lovely with serene garden space in both the front and the back. Private parking is also available. Renting a car in Florence is easy and the drive to Casa Alina is less than an hour. Beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern pieces, the first floor of the home has a comfortable sitting area, a well-equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities. Two very comfortable and spacious bedrooms and a large hall bathroom take up the second floor. The third floor, a loft or attic space, serves as a tiny third bedroom. Excellent home-cooked meals can be arranged through Laura or you can try some of the local restaurants. Artevino was an especially good choice for a delicious dinner and Pizzeria Ristorante Il Mundo degli Gnomi was a great casual choice. The town square was a fun place to wander and explore, and the local Co-Op grocery store has all the necessary food and supplies to support your stay. Casa Alina is also the perfect jumping-off spot for visiting the many little towns in the area. It's also very close to Castello Sonnino, a local winery, which offers tours along with relaxing meals overlooking the vineyards. Kimberly is very helpful throughout the booking process as well as a great resource for local activities. In short, Casa Alina was a delightful place to stay - the perfect home away from home.

Wonderful stay

Our group of four enjoyed our stay of 5 nights at Casa Alina. The house is clean and the kitchen large and perfect for any cooking you might want to do. We really appreciated the washer, dryer and American outlets to charge all our devices! We explored the Chianti area, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimingano and Volterra. We looked forward to coming back to Casa Alina at the end of each day. Their neighbor Nora was very kind and had many suggestions for dinner options. Laura's dinner was the a highlight of our trip, delicious and plentiful! We would definitely return to Casa Alina and would recommend to all.

Italy Bucket List Trip

Casa Alina was the perfect home base for our Tuscany exploration. We stayed 5 nights with our 3 adult children and had plenty of room for everyone to have their space. We drove to Florence on 3 days and to Pisa once and coming back to the villa each day was a welcome bit of piece and quiet after the city crowds. We enjoyed Laura's multi-course dinner on the day we arrived which was wonderful after driving from Venice. Her breakfast basket was so convenient, too. All the food was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers for the next few days. Sadly, our Italian and Laura's English is equally lacking, so we couldn't communicate as I would have liked to, but we managed fine enough. Kimberly was very easy to work with from booking through our entire stay. The villa was clean and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We especially appreciated the American electrical outlets. Another VRBO property I highly recommend.

What a nice place to live in for a week... The two artists in our group were impressed by the color and details of the decorating scheme in the entire casa. The pictures on the web site depict these colors and the entire set up quite well. The place was spotless and inviting. We used the house as a starting point for many excursions to the beautiful Tuscan towns including Florence and San Gimingano, to name the biggies. The nearby town of Montespertoli bustled and proved to be very inviting. There were no Michelin starred type restaurants to our knowledge. That being said, there is no reason to avoid staying at this lovely place.

Great location! Beautiful country!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Alina in September 2013. The Villa is kept immaculate and is located in the country side of a small beautiful Tuscany village, Montespertoli. We decided to opt for the home made meal the first night and it was delicious! The breakfast basket the next morning was full of fresh food and was more than plenty for the five of us. Villa Alina is a nice jewel ideally located within one hour drive of major attractions such as Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, Pisa and numerous small villages in the heart of Tuscany. We are already planning a return trip to Casa Alina! Thank you Kimberly for your warm hospitality and delicious tomatoes! Ray and Company!

Delightful Villa

Casa Alina met all of our expectations, it was clean, well equipped and inviting. The third bedroom is a little cramped for two but would be comfortable for one. This is a great location to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside but a car is a necessity. Kimberly has left excellent suggestions of highlights in the area, we especially loved visiting San Gimignano and highly recommend the restaurant L'Artevino for dinner. Thank you Kimberly for sharing your beautiful home and all your help in making our stay so enjoyable.

Fantastico!

When it came time to leave the villa my family was very sad. We had such a wonderful time staying at the villa and exploring Italy. It was a perfect location to have as a base. We could drive into Florence easily and return to the beautiful and peaceful countryside. The location was also great to venture out to see San Gimignano,Siena,Pisa and Lucca to name a few. A GPS is critical! Having a car also meant we could shop nearby for groceries and get fresh bake goods daily! The kitchen is very well stocked which allowed us to have fun preparing meals. The backyard patio is private and a very pleasant setting to enjoy fantastic food, wine and one another. The description of the listing is accurate. It is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. We all slept very well! Kimberly was very helpful providing information. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Alina. I look forward to a future stay at this wonderful Italian home.

Family of 5 from Carrying Place, Ontario Canada

We are a family of 5 - 2 adults and our 3 children ages 16,17 and 20. We spent 5 days at "Casa Alina" and it was perfect, especially as this was our first visit to Tuscany. Casa Alina was recommended to us by friends. We found it to be a beautifully appointed home with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen, including an espresso machine. The owner was extremely helpful in answering our many questions, and through her we were able to arrange a for her mother-in-law to bring over a fully prepared meal, including wine, which was much appreciated after a long flight from Toronto, and the drive from Rome. We were able to do day trips to Volterra, Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena. Our family's favourite restaurant was the little pizzeria by the soccer field just 1.5 km down the road - il Piggio. Another wonderful restaurant was "La Lombricaia", well worth the twisting, turning drive to get there. Watch the sun set over the Tuscan hillside. There is a local "Coop" grocery store in Montespertoli which was great for picking up items for breakfast etc. Our family travels a lot but this was our first time to Tuscany. Casa Alina was our home away from home and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Charming, Well-appointed - Delicious Catering! A Must!

We enjoyed your charming and well appointed Tuscany home! Laura's welcoming meal was delicious. Home cooking-very much appreciated after a long trip. Morning walks to the bakery afforded views of beautiful scenery on both sides as well as friendly "Good Days" from the neighbor. L'Artevino in Montespertoli was so delicious and the service so warm that we ate there twice. The drive to Panzano is worth it, if only to dine at Cantinetta Sassolini in the Garden. A must:Buca di Sant' Antonio in Lucca for a mid-day meal. Ask for Federica to guide you at Castello di Sonnino for a wine tour and lunch in Montespertoli. lastly, the Circolo di Ortimino (local pizzeria/restaurant next to Casa Alina) is under new management :)

Ortimino villa

Our Tuscan vacation at Casa Alina was wonderful. Upon arrival; the villa was clean and in order. Beautifully appointed; it was everything I had hoped for. The kitchen was well equipped; we cooked in a number of dinners. We rented a car, which made grocery trips easy and touring the countryside was amazing. We did many day trips; and getting into Florence was easy with gps. The beds were very comfortable with soft linens. We all slept well! The surrounding area was very walkable and the girls ran daily. Overall; location; quality and comfortability cannot be beat! Loved our visit! Kimberly was very available by phone. Laura's cooking was amazing!
