Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present “Betsy’s Nest”! Home sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children.

A Monterey cottage with character features modern conveniences while still retaining vintage charm. Front patio offers relaxing views of the bay in a location that is within walking distance of the Peninsula’s most popular attractions.

Full of thoughtful details and whimsy, the 1,411-square-foot residence has fenced front and back yards with comfortable outdoor furniture and a fire pit table on the front patio, a perfect place to enjoy evenings while watching twinkling lights on the bay.

This 2-bedroom, 2-bath home is located on a quiet street just a few blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, and is also just a few minutes away by car from dining, movies and shopping in either downtown Pacific Grove or historic Old Monterey. Other attractions nearby include the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach, the charming village of Carmel-by-the-Sea, the natural wonders of Point Lobos and Big Sur, and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

Living Spaces
The front door opens into a small entryway that can lead either into the living room or the kitchen.
The pet-friendly home features both a living room and a separate family room decorated with an eclectic blend of vintage and modern furniture as well as coastal and butterfly-themed artwork and a desk convenient for getting some work done.
The living room includes a gas fireplace, sectional seating with coastal décor, a selection of books, a large dining table and wood floors. Bay views can be seen both from this room and the adjacent front patio, which has a low fence, patio umbrella, fire pit table and comfortable seating surrounded by blooming flowers.
The family room features wood floors, a sleeper sofa that opens into a full bed, a 48-inch Smart HDTV with cable and a Blu-Ray DVD player and a game table. Well-equipped for extended stays!

Sliding doors from the family room provide access to the back yard, which is fully fenced with easy-care succulent landscaping and native live oaks, and decorated with string lights overhead and in the oak trees. Cushioned outdoor loungers, a space heater, an outdoor dining table and a gourmet gas grill for evening barbecues.

Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen includes a built-in breakfast nook with granite tabletop, which matches the granite counters in the kitchen.
Vintage-look displays on top of cabinets add a sense of fun, and stainless steel appliances include a double oven, a Keurig coffee maker and a gas Jenn-Air cooktop with five burners. The updated kitchen island adds style and convenience.
A Bluetooth speaker and a Google Nest Mini are also available.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 - King-sized bed with bench seating at its foot, a sea grass headboard, beach-themed décor and a 37" TV.
The en suite bath has a large shower with teak bench.
Bedroom #2 - Queen bed with coastal and travel-themed style and a 33" TV.
The hall bath is freshly remodeled (2022) and has a shower-over-tub and brand new vanity.

Laundry room with washer and dryer.

The home has a one-car garage with a 60 amp, 240V, NEMA 14-50R plug receptacle for your electric car (EV). Guest must provide their own charging cable. Additional parking is available in the driveway and on the street.

Small well-behaved, quiet dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.

This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. This is our second time at Betsy’s Nest and just like the first time the property was perfect for us. Everything we needed was there. Great location to Monterey and Pacific Grove. And our two dogs loved it too.

This property has everything you could need. The view of the Bay was amazing as you sit on the front deck by the fire table. We can’t say enough about how great this place was. You have to experience it for yourself. We highly recommend Betsy’s Nest.

Betsy’s place in Monterey is a beautiful place to stay. We loved sitting out in the front of the house where there is a view of the ocean. We also enjoyed the backyard where there is a BBQ, and a table and chairs to sit at. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking. The two bedrooms have their own baths. There is also a family room with tv. Very comfortable!

This is a perfectly located clean home in Monterey/Pacific Grove. Fully stocked kitchen (except for dull knives) with every appliance one could need. Fenced yard for the dog, comfortable beds and furniture both inside and out. Great laundry room. A bit over decorated... to the point of inconvenience because we had to move things to use the table and countertops. We would definitely rent this home again.

We enjoyed our stay at Betsy’s Nest. We are walkers and it is a short walk to Monterey, Pacific Grove and the Recreation Trail. The house is clean and well-appointed, has comfortable beds and furniture, a nice front deck overlooking Monterey Bay, a garage with driveway parking, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, good location in a quiet neighborhood, and welcomes dogs with cozy blankets. The only complaint we have is the large number of decorative items throughout the house. While they are very nice, we needed to move them to have space to live comfortably in the house.

We lived in Pacific Grove in the past. It still feels like home to us and we return frequently. This was our first experience with Vrbo. It won’t be our last. Betsy’s Nest is so comfortable and homey. We felt immediately at ease. There are so many thoughtful extras. The home is lovely. It is in a perfect location to enjoy the best of this paradise on the bay.

The house was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. It was completely equipped with everything we needed. And the location was perfect to walk down to the Aquarium, Cannery Row or a nice walk along the water into Pacific Grove. Would stay there again!

We rent a home/condo 2 months every winter. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed at. The photo's of the place were accurate. The place might even be better. The beds were very comfortable, the furnishings were very comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans that were first class. Even had RO water. The laundry had new appliances. Location was nearly ideal. Very short drives to markets, restaurants and the water. Walking to the Aquarium has only .5 mile. The garage was big enough to hold extra beach gear along with the car. Note, the rental agency wouldn't give us a garage door opener so we had to walk through the house to open the garage. The only negative was the rental agency was very slow to respond to problems at the house. I would definitely stay at the place again.
