Mr. Hervé, on the VRBO site it is specified that the owner speaks only Italian, Spanish and English. I am surprised by your assessment because although you arrived without understanding neither the VRBO instructions nor the WELCOME PACK because you only speak French we tried to give you our maximum support. In any case, because I try to give high standard of quality to all our guests I will add also a google translation in French, German and Dutch to the WELCOME PACK.

logement dans un environnement paisible
dans un cadre paisible et sauvage un logement propre et bien adapté pour une famille avec deux adolescentes. une vue magnifique sur le lac de Come et un propriétaire très réactif à nos questions .Ne pas hésiter à communiquer par le site d abritel. bien lire les documents que le propriétaire envoie par mail avant de venir car il donne une bonne explication pour arriver au logement et l inventaire à faire en arrivant. je conseillerai ce logement à des personnes véhiculées.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour mais ...
Le logement est situé à Montemezzo, dans les hauteurs, à environ 1h30 de Côme. Il s'agit en fait d'une maison partagée en 3 appartements. Elle est spacieuse avec une jolie vue (malheureusement striée par les fils électriques). Elle dispose d'un agréable jardin (partagé avec les autres locataires). Par contre, elle est plutôt très fraîche et on entend facilement ce qu'il se passe dans les appartements à côté. La communication avec le propriétaire n'a pas été fluide et les démarches d'entrée et de sortie sont fastidieuses (par exemple, inventaire d'entrée et de sortie de l'ensemble des éléments de la cuisine : fourchettes, couteaux, cuillères, verres, tasses, assiettes petites et grandes, etc etc ... ). La chambre dans laquelle j'ai dormi n'avait ni rideaux, ni volets donc j'étais réveillée tôt le matin par le soleil. Il n'y a pas de jacuzzi comme mentionné sur l'annonce mais une baignoire d'angle dans la salle de bain.

Regarding your opinion that communicating with the owner was not very fluid and that the check in procedures are noisy, please consider that I have made some effort to prepare a welcome document and organize the check-in procedures to favor guests and to manage this activity with maximum efficiency. In your case, I had to request several times both the sending of the documentation for the police and the information relating to the meters. You called and messaged me several times from diffent mobiles numbers asking information already well explained in the welcome pack and causing a real confusion about which apartment you were speaking about. If all customers were to act in this way, managing a rental business would become very difficult. Renting a house requires seriousness on the part of the owner, but also on the part of those who rent it. Finally, please be so kind as to indicate where the whirlpool has been advertised because it appears to me that I have only indicated the bathroom fixtures in the description of the bathroom and in the case you are right I would like to fix it as soon as possible. Superbe location, pour les amoureux du calme
Appartement agreable et spacieux, en retrait de la route, au calme et avec une vue absolument formidable. Entouree de foret, ce n'est que bruit du vent et chants d'oiseaux. Parfait pour se relaxer et s'evader. Assez proche des commodités, supermarchés à Domasos, Colico, Piantedo en 30 mn (descente de la maison au village de Gera Lario min 15 mn).

We loved it!
We were very excited to find such a gem for such a price and when we got there it was even better than expected! The view is incredible. The place was clean and warm and had everything we needed. The hike to the waterfall was beautiful and fun. Our three kids and our dog had many adventures on the large property. There are many hikes in the area. Check in and out was easy. We are definitely going back!

Home with a view
The appartment is very spacy, clean, well equipped and also very cosy. Due to the wooden blinds and the stone floor the appart was still cool while outside temperatures of 32 degrees and hence very suitable for dogs. The garden is also very large and has a magnificent view on the lake and mountains.

Beautiful quiet spot and marvellous view
Paolo created a wonderful hideout in Montemezzo! The apartment is located in a very quiet area without traffic noise. The view on the lake and the valley is wonderful. The apartment itself has evereything you need for a relaxing vacation, inlcuding a good kitchen equipment, large fridge and wifi. Paolo is a wonderful host who is very helpful and did everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable (for instance: he arranged bow and arrows for the kids, brought an air conditioner). When I called him at some point to ask something bout the aprtment he specially came over to ask whether everything was to our liking. We had very nice conversations with him and particulary liked the story about how he created the house. We had a lovely time and surely will return some time!

Schöne Aussicht aber schlechte Lage.
Nach der Anreise ermüdet, muss man, wie bei einer Schnitzeljagd, an die Schlüssel für die Tür kommen. Hat man dies endlich Geschafft, hat man die Vorgabe eine Inventur des Geschirrs durchzuführen. Kein Schutz vor Stechmücken, kein W-LAN, auch keine Kaffeemaschine noch Spülmaschine (obwohl beides in der Beschreibung angegeben ist). Man muss bedenken, dass die Selbstversorgung und Ausflüge mit etwas mehr Aufwand und Zeit verbunden sind, da allein der Weg runter vom Berg ungefähr 15 Minuten Weg in Anspruch nimmt. Die Pizzeria auf dem Berg ist leider wohl ständig überfüllt und man braucht Reservierung (auch Abholung dort nicht möglich). Die Auffahrt bis zum Haus war tatsächlich steiler, als auf dem Bild ersichtlich ist. Das einzige was man genießen konnte, war die Aussicht auf den See. Reist man mit Kleinkind, können wir nur von dem Ferienhaus abraten.

Lage und Ausblick hervorragend!
Die Auffahrt zum Haus ist beschwerlich. Bei Ankunft mussten wir eine Inventur der vorhandenen Küchenutensilien und das gleiche bei Abfahrt tätigen. Da wir oft unterwegs waren, war eine Zweckmäßigkeit mit einem schönen Ausblick der Wohnung wichtig.

Wir haben im Herbst 2021 mit Freunden alle drei Apartments zusammen gemietet (Papere, Tartarighe, Campanelle). Jedes Apartment hat seinen eigenen Charakter und Vorteile. Die Apartments, die Lage und die Region haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Es wurde ja bereits viel geschrieben, hier einige aktuellen Informationen. - Freies WLAN gibt es immer noch nicht, dafür liegt ein „Hotspot“ von Vodafone, über den man offensichtlich Volumen kaufen kann. - Auch eine Geschirrspülmaschine gibt es nicht (wurde auch nicht angegeben). - Eine Wachmaschine haben wir allerdings gefunden (zwischen den Apartments Tartarughe und Campanelle). - Einen Whirlpool gibt es natürlich nicht, das scheint ein Übersetzungsfehler der Web-Seite zu sein. Gemeint ist wahrscheinlich eine Badewanne, die vorhanden ist. - Bei Buchung erhält man eine „WELCOME PACKAGE“, in der alles wesentliche gut beschrieben ist. Das Haus ist damit gut zu finden. Die Auffahrt zu den Apartments ist, wie bereits mehrfach beschrieben, sehr steil und eng. Mit breiteren SUV-Fahrzeugen oder schicken Autos mit wenig Bodenfreiheit würde ich nicht anfahren wollen. Man kann zwar unten parken, aber das ganze Gepäck hoch- und runtertragen zu müssen dürfte wenig Spass bereiten. Wir sind in der Dunkelheit angekommen, was für die erste Anfahrt sicherlich nicht zu empfehlen ist. Auch ist es im Herbst sinnvoll, vorab die Fahrspur von Blättern und Esskastanien (lecker!) zu befreien, sonst drehen die Räder durch. Im Herbst fallen beim Haus die Esskastanien von den Bäumen. Wer sein Auto schonen will, sollte unten parken. Mit drei Autos oben zu parken und wenden ist eng, aber mit viel Rangiererei möglich. Der Check-In und -Out erscheint etwas kompliziert. Da wir kein WhatsApp nutzen, haben wir die angegebene E-Mail-Adresse genutzt, aber leider keine Antworten bekommen. Unsere Freunde, die hingegen WhatsApp nutzen, haben sofort eine Rückmeldung bekommen. Übrigens bei Colico (ca. 15-20 Minuten Fahrt) gibt es einen sehr großen Iperal-Supermarkt, der auch sonntags geöffnet ist. Auch das Benzin ist dort günstig.

Schön gelegenes Haus mit Sicht auf den Comer See
Das Wohnung, Terrasse und das Grundstück ist sehr schön und absolut ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist perfekt für 6 Personen. Das 2. Schlafzimmer für 4 Personen etwas klein, aber ok. Die letzten 100 m Auffahrt zum Haus ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wir haben uns mit der Familie sehr wohl gefühlt.

Perfect!
Deze vakantiewoning was perfect! Wat een paradijselijk plekje met schitterend uitzicht. Alles was uitstekend. Voor ons was alleen het laatste stukje met de auto niet te doen. De auto, zeker met 4 passagiers en alle bagage erin, redde het niet om de berg op te komen. Daardoor de auto de rest van de week onderaan de weg laten staan (geen probleem verder).

Haus, Ort, Vermieter: so wie man sich's wünscht
Wirklich ein tolles Haus in einem tollem kleinen Ort. Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern (5.5 & 3.5) dort, und auch sie konnte es geniessen, die Landschaft auszukundschaften und vielen Tiere zu bestaunen. Von kleinen schönen weissfleck Widderchen, die einem auf den Finger landen, zu Echsen und anderen Tieren. Der Vermieter war sehr zuvorkommend, hat immer speditiv auf unsere Fragen gantwortet und man merkt, dass ihm sehr viel daran liegt, dass die Gäste das Haus mit so viel Freude erleben dürfen, mit welcher er es auch gebaut hat.

Schöne Ferienwohnung
Wir haben ein paar wunderschöne Tage in der Ferienwohnung verbracht. Es war alles ordentlich und zum Kochen das nötigste vorhanden. Das einchecken ist super unkompliziert, da man sich nicht erst umständlich verabreden muss, sondern eine Zahlenkombination bekommt. Der Kontakt zu Paolo war immer nett und er war für uns immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank! Der Ausblick ist wirklich sehr schön und das Haus ist ruhig gelegen. Zu bemängeln haben wir eigentlich nichts. Vielleicht wäre es gut, wenn man unter die Stuhlfüße Filze klebt, Ist für alle Bewohner gerade wenn man die Wohnung unten hat, sicher angenehmer. Wir können diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!!!!

Das landestypische Ferienhaus ist super ruhig gelegen und ca. 3 km vom Ortskern in Serpentinen zu erreichen. Es gibt auch einen schönen Fußweg zum Ortskern. Nach allen Seiten erstrecken sich Wiesen und Waldflächen. Es gibt ausreichend Sonnenliegen, Balkonstühle und einen schattigen Freiplatz mit Grill. Genügend Holz findet man leicht in der Umgebung; das Grillgut legt man dann einfach zünftig auf einen heißen Stein. Es gibt drei Wohnungen im Haus und mit etwas Mühe auch drei Parkplätze. Die Auffahrt ist steil und besteht aus zwei parallel verlaufenden Betonspuren. Wir benötigten etwas Anlauf. Die Betonspuren haben wir dann einmal in Eigeninitiative komplett von Laub gereinigt, was die Haftreibung der Reifen besonders bei Regen verbesserte (unser Fahrzeug hat kein Allradantrieb). Das Leben in der Wohnung spielt sich auf zwei Ebenen ab, oben sind zwei Schlafräume und das Bad, unten der kombinierte Wohn- und Essbereich. Kochen erfolgt mit einem Gasherd, zwei typische italienische Espressokocher gehören zur Ausstattung. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und jederzeit zu erreichen. Die Zählerstände von Gas und Elektro werden vorher und nachher dokumentiert. Alles in allem können wir diese Unterkunft besonders Naturliebhabern empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub.

Entschleunigung nötig?
Hier konnten wir richtig gut Abstand vom Alltag gewinnen! Die Aussicht auf den See und die Berge und die Ruhe waren unbeschreiblich schön. Ein funktionstüchtiger Fernseher hat zwar gefehlt, aber das hat uns nicht gestört!

Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Wir waren mit unseren beiden Hunden sehr gerne dort. Die Zufahrt ist ein bischen steil, doch selbst ein T5 kommt da hoch. Die Aussicht ist grandios und wir haben jeden Tag den Sonnenauf- wie Untergang genießen dürfen. Vom Haus führen Wanderwege in alle Richtungen, die gut markiert sind. Das Spülzeug und Toilettenpier ist mitzubringen. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr freundlich und unterhaltsam. Zum Einkaufen gibts am Wasser genügend Möglichkeiten, sowie Bars und Restaurants. Auch Gleitschirmfliegen ist vom Monte Mezzo möglich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

what a nightmare! Do not stay here!
Our first 36 hours were great. Then there was a forest fire in the next village. The air filled with huge plumes of smoke which surrounded the house. It was impossible to stay and it felt unsafe. We left with the renters from the next door apt as none of us felt confident that the house would not go up in flames. The house is the last building of the village surrounded by forest. Very beautiful but in a fire situation it would be the first property to burn. We found a hotel for the night across the lake and watched as multiple fires on several of the hillsides spread. The fire near our house continued to spread throughout the night into a huge U above the village. In the early hours a tongue of fire worked its way down towards the apt. It was put out at 9 am the following morning and had stopped 400 metres from the house in a ravine. I asked the owner if he would refund us as we did not want to go back, I asked for a refund of the night we could not stay. He agreed to neither because the young men who rented next door returned to their apt to have a party. Four days later there were more forest fires and the sky again filled with billowing smoke. The apt was nice but unfortunately was linked via a closed door to another apt belonging to the same owner. There were 6 young men renting next door and they spent the week taking drugs (weed), drinking and playing loud music. We couldn't use the main bedroom because of the smell of weed (under the door) and loud music blaring through the night. My 4 children slept on the floor of the sitting-room for the week. The view from the apt is amazing but because it is very windy the wooden shutters had to remain closed the entire time, so no natural light or view! We went out everyday until after dark.

Calm location with a great view over Lake Como
Everything as expected and described, nothing to complain. So, for us (family with 3 kids) this was the perfect location. We very much enjoyed te location, that means the view over the lake, the forrest next to the house including a small waterfall nearby. Nevertheless, you have to be aware, that the house is a bit remote. That means, you need a car and drive a bit to go shopping. If you have a big car (van, large SUV) that small road to the house is a bit of a challenge.

Sehr schön und ruhig!!!
Netter hilfreicher Vermieter, super Lage, unbedingt die vom Vermieter empfohlenen Restaurants testen, Küche nicht all zu üppig ausgestattet, eigene Handtücher mitnehmen, ruhige Lage, wenig touristisch, es gibt viel zu entdecken!!

mooi gelegen
Het is een mooi gesitueerd huis met prachtig zicht over het como meer. Voor ons een prima uitvalsbasis om dagjes uit te gaan of gewoon lekker in gera lario te gaan zwemmen of te eten. Gera lario leent zich heel goed voor watersporters. Het appartement is ruim maar simpel ingericht. Prima voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen. Daar moet je ook rekening mee houden als je buren krijgt! Wat ons tegenviel was het niet aanwezig zijn van internet en een wasmachine . Deze zouden wel aanwezig zijn volgens de boeking. We kunnen prima zonder. Heerlijke vakantie gehad.

I am a surprised of your low rating (the average rating is over 4,5) because in the home-away site it was explained that there is NO WASHIING MACHINE machine but the local support can wash and hire at very low cost for the guests. Gests normally are very happy with this high quality service. Referring to Wi-Fi in the home-away site it is declared that there is NO WIFI because the house is surrounded by nature in a forest and there is no fixed line from any telecom operators. For data IT communication the guest use their own mobile as a router (the quality of 4G mobile signal is good). I am trying to find Wi-Fi mobile solutions but it will not be for this year.
