Une bonne expérience malgré les obstacles
L'endroit est magnifique,une belle maison propre avec une jolie décoration, par contre le hoste ma laissé attendre 1h dans le froid parce que il à oublié de m'envoyer les instructions,j'ai appelé plusieurs fois sans réponse,la maison et mal isolé à éviter en hiver.

La maison correspond à la description, simple mais très fonctionnelle! Rien ne manque à celle-ci. La région elle,se prête aux balades à pied ou en vélo,la petite rivière à 300m de la maison est magnifique pour se rafraîchir. Nous avons pris beaucoup de plaisir lors de notre semaine de vacances dans cette maison et cette région.

The most beautiful little house!
We loved everything about our stay at Paolos little house! The garden and the area around it are so magical. It‘s the last house at the end of a street that leads into a forest where we met some deers and relaxed at a river - so peaceful! We would love to come back!

Schlimme, nervenaufreibende Zufahrt zum Haus, mehr Skorpion-Kontakt als erwartet, tägliche Besuche vom Wildschwein aber ein Ausblick und eine Ruhe, wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Perfekte Mischung zwischen Berg und See, zwischen Ruhe und Trubel. Wir haben tolle Wanderungen gemacht (Wasserfall, Oligiasca, Montemezzo), waren in Menaggio beim Stadtbummel, in St. Maria Rezzonico mehrmals am Strand ❤️ und hatten insgesamt eine sehr schöne Woche am Comer See.

messy, filthy place with a very impolite, threatening landlord
Read this as our recommandation: Stay away from this place!! I´m an experienced traveller and booked a lot of vacation appartements - never with any trouble. But THIS place is an insult to italy. The "welcome package" was is nothing else but delegating work that a host should do, not his paying clients: at 15h arrived on time - no one there, even though this was announced. Weired instructions (neither understandable german nor english) - couldn´t find keys or anything else. So after 6 hours of driving, arriving in time no one there to help us, we called the landlord Mr. Paolo himself, telling him about the unsatisfying situation. Instead of apologizing or any kind of empathy he threatened us in low level english "he will throw us out of his house if we dared to complain, and we will find no place to stay". The place itself is filthy, furniture cheap and major parts broken - kitchen was unusuable (oven+hotplates out of function, broken and filthy pan&pots) &repairing company was "on vacation, sorry". Bathroom full of mold, NO shower at a bathtub with irregular warm water, living room covered with doghair&dirt, smaller than announced, one bedroom was not a room as announced but the entrance corridor with a cheap bunk bed and a glassdoor to next "room" (a galery, not a room - so no intimacy possible) - altogether a mess and partly fraud. Unfortunately we cannot upload photos here - but I will do so on my social media. We will demand back at least 50% of the money.

Mr Tobias, we had an unpleased discussion because you pretended not respecting any rental instructions. Now I am surprised of your attempt to create a reputational damage, because I thought your unacceptable attitude was generated by a high level of your personal stress and the next day you declared to Mr Fiorenza (the local support) everything was fine and you spent your full vacation in Campanelle. Rustic House in nature
Rustic House next to the forest with a great view! If you Are interested in a calm place, kept simple and relax this location will fit perfectly. The street may difficult to find and drive, its a bit adventurous. For the Check in you have to open junction Boxes and take pictures. The Host requires to list the inventory and inform him directly. This Procedere seems exaggerated to me because eveything in the House looks old and used. Inventory not changed for years… and I mean Not vintage or historical. This house has charm but is kept very simple. The contact with the host was easy and fast. We appreciated That.

Overall great experience!
We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the apartment as well as the location. We had our two daughters with us (19 and 25), the bedrooms were a little tight, but we understood that would be the case when we booked. The check-in process was a bit tedious (first time I've had to send pictures of the water and electric meter before and after a stay). The architecture and decor of the apartment was well thought out and probably the highlight for us. The only negative part of our stay was the bugs (mosquitos mainly), we stayed in late June, so maybe it was just the time of year. There were no screens on the windows (understand this is common in Europe), but because of that we could not open the windows and the apartment was hot (one more fan would be nice). The only other minor complaint was the internet was not working. The owner was very prompt in reply, giving us things to try and even sending someone there to look at it. But it never worked for us during our 3 days there. I don't fault the owner for this, these things happen. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Das Haus liegt sehr schön am Waldrand und hat einen tollen Blick auf den See. Leider fehlt aber jeder Schutz gegen Schnacken (Gitter, etc.), und bei unserem Aufenthalt gab es tausende (vermutlich jahresbedingt, aber auch wegen der Lage am Waldrand). Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, aber das Haus ist schwer zu putzen (Hohe Decken, Steinwände, etc.). Das Bad sehr klein, keine eigentliche Dusche, sondern nur eine Wanne ohne Spritzschutz. Das Wasser war entweder zu heiß oder zu kalt und nicht stabil in der Temperatur. Das Haus ist sehr klein für 5 Personen, aber das wussten wir vorher. Der Gastgeben antwortet sehr schnell, und die Hilfsperson vor Ort war sehr freundlich. Der Check-in ist allerdinge ein wenig umständlich mit mehreren Fotos vom Gas- und Stromzähler, das kannten wir so nicht bislang. War aber auch kein Problem. Trotz der genannten Mängel haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, die Gegend ist wunderschön.

Dear Mr Muller, as indicated in the site I dont speak german. What do you mean with protection against noiese (bars...)? "The house is beautifully situated on the edge of the forest and has a great view of the lake. Unfortunately, however, there is no protection against noise (bars, etc.), and during our stay there were thousands (probably due to the year, but also because of the location on the edge of the forest)

Kurzurlaub am Comer See
Netter Aufenthalt. Tolle Lage am Waldrand in der Nähe eines wunderschönen Wasserfalls. Unterkunft wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Nicht modern, aber dem Charakter des Hauses entsprechend. Gerne wieder.

Ruhe und Natur
Die Wohnung war sehr schön und gemütlich gestaltet. Die Aussicht war fantastisch :) Die Auffahrt direkt vor das Haus war leider sehr schwierig. (schmal und sehr steil). Auch der Weg zum Fluss sehr steil abwärts und teilweise etwas gefährlich. Mit Kindern hätte das Ehebett keine Privatsphäre, da es vom Kinderzimmer her mit Sicht durch eine Glasscheibentür steht. Das Frühstücken auf der Terrasse war wundervoll und auch mit Aussicht auf den See. Die Hunde konnten sich frei bewegen. Ein sehr schöner Ort wenn man mal raus aus der Stadt möchte und Natur und Ruhe braucht.

Das Haus ist einfach wunderbar: sehr geschmackvoll, ohne zu stylish zu wirken, Top-Lage, ruhig und weit weg vom Rummel. Der Fußweg zum Einkaufen war absolut machbar. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen!!

Die Wohnung ist wirklich schön, allerdings für Kleinkinder nicht geeignet. Die Treppe ist sehr steil und einige der Aufleger sind lose, sodass man schnell mal ausgerutscht ist. Der Wendeplatz vor dem Haus... eine kleine Herausforderung vor allem dann, wenn mehrere Mieter mit ihrem Auto vor Ort sind. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn die Kinder ein wenig größer sind.

Beautiful italian stone house
The view is fantastic!!! Really nice and perfect for relaxing. Only thing is, that supermarkets (for self-cooking) is a little bit far (but either you like it nice and quiet or you would like to have all around). All together, I definitly recommend this place!!!

Ein gemütliches, mit Liebe eingerichtetes Haus mit allen Bequemlichkeiten, überdachter Terrasse und einem großen Gemeinschaftsgarten, tolle Ausblicke. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber mit vielen Tipps. 5 day trip at lake Como
Cozy property with very quiet surroundings. Driving to lake Como takes about 10 minutes and there are some nice villages close by. Hiring a boat on lake Como was great fun, even without a license you can get a surprisingly powerful boat and take a dip in the middle of the lake. If you want to park your car next to the house you need reasonable driving skills and preferably a 4x4 vehicle all though I noticed that our neighbours seem to have managed with a normal car as well. Truly enjoyed our time here with the family!

Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub
Das Haus ist oberhalb des Comer Sees traumhaft gelegen. Die letzte Steigung bis vor das Haus hat es aber in sich. Das Haus hatte alles, um es dort gut auszuhalten. Kleinere Mängel (kleine Leckage am Dach und defekte Kühlschranktür) hatten wir (nicht der Verursacher) rechtzeitig angezeigt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war einwandfrei. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und vermissen den Terrassenblick auf Colico. Der hatte etwas absolut Entschleunigendes. Auch das anschließende Waldgrundstück mit Wildbach war wunderschön.

Breathtaking views and nice, cozy place - highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had an amazing time! Paolo is a great host! Very welcoming and very responsive whenever we needed assistance. We stayed in the Campanelle and it was so nice and cozy. The inside and outside of the house is very cute and has everything you need, you might just a quick run to the grocery store if you plan on cooking. It was the perfect size and we enjoyed breakfast every morning in our outside patio with a nice view. The wifi wasn't always the strongest from our side of the property, but the cell reception is very good and we could use our data. With where it is located, it is definitely necessary to have a vehicle that drives well uphill. The views are incredible from every angle, but especially from the left side of the property. There's a grocery store and laundromat about a 20 minute drive away and there's a local market at the bottom of the mountain on Sunday mornings. Also at the bottom of the mountain, there is great access to the lake and a place where you can rent kayaks, windsurfing equipment and bikes for reasonable prices - and they speak English. All in all, we highly recommend this property!

Das Haus ist ein Refugium inmitten wunderbarer Natur und hat uns eine schöne Auszeit beschert. Paolo Tipps, die im Haus für alle nachzulesen sind, sind sehr wertvoll und er war bei weiteren Fragen sofort zur Stelle. Die Nähe zum See und gleichzeitig zu verschiedenen Berggipfeln, der Tobel direkt hinter dem Haus und der weitläufige Garten lassen keine Wünsche offen. Danke!

Die Anfahrt dazu ist schwierig und abenteuerlich, konnte aber auch mit einem Bus bewältigt werden (Auch wenn man die Seitenspiegel einklappen muss). Auch wenn Wlan vorhanden ist, ist dies unbrauchbar. Ständig abbrechende Verbindung und das Mobilnetz ist auch bescheiden. Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer der Anlage war eingeschränkt möglich, erst nach mehreren Mails bekamen wir dessen Handynummer. Die Schlüsselsuche ähnelt einer Schnitzeljagd und benötigt etwas Zeit.

Vacanze a Montemezzo
Posto molto bello, si possono raggiungere facilmente sia il lago che le montagne, silenzioso e immerso nella natura (abbiamo visto da vicino aquile, falchi, cinghiali, scorpioni e pernici di montagna) e il padrone di casa è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Unica pecca, per una permanenza "lunga" come la nostra, l'assenza della doccia e del bidet.

Gabriella, la ringrazio molto per la bella recensione. In effetti la casa è molto aprezzata dagli amanti della natura. Dato che l'acqua abbonda nella zona, per chi ama fare il bagno nella grande vasca da bagno è un vero Paradiso :-)
