Location de voitures à 5 minutes, gare à 15. Situé dans une maison de ville typiquement britannique, au calme d’un quartier résidentiel avec un patio pour les beaux jours. « Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...

« L’hôte est charmante, attentive à nos moindres besoins. La chambre est absolument fabuleuse, magnifiquement décorée, du thé, des tisanes, du café, bonbons et petit gâteau sans parler des produits de toilette mis à disposition. Une chambre dans laquelle on a envie de passer des heures de lecture dans un des fauteuils très confortables ou à regarder la TV. L’emplacement est très proche du centre ville qui reste accessible très rapidement à pieds. »

« Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre. We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good. »

« The checkin was well communicated via email and totally virtual. We had no interaction with any staff. The room was nice but, despite a sign on the bathroom door, a very small step from the bedroom to the bathroom resulted in painful toes as both my wife and I stubbed them on the step. We were in the ‘Deer’ room which is on the third floor. Carrying our luggage up three staircases and narrow corridors was very difficult - there is no lift! « Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time. »
