« We enjoy our annual ‘no kids’ BH weekend away and this is our first year in this accommodation. Great space downstairs, plenty of kitchen equipment and seating for all. « Some of the doors are very squeaky which was a bit of a pain when trying to put young kids to bed but thatâ€™s only a minor thing. The lodge could do with a few minor refurbishments like the bathroom door was very old and chipped and some of the skirting boards in the bathroom were a bit tatty but we really couldnâ€™t fault the holiday at all. « Deer Leap is a fabulous lodge in a lovely setting and really quite private. Spotlessly clean and smelled lovely on entering. We loved the hot tub and the bathroom door leading directly to it outside. The twinkly lights over the covered seating area outside were so pretty at night. « The location was good. To find the lodge was extremely difficult as the lodges were not numbered in numerical order. The warden just pointed in the general direction to where the lodge was situated.The parking was very tight due to over grown hedges.The lodge was in very poor condition...certainly not "luxury"as the advert said. It did NOT have the dishwasher, washing machine or dryer as in the listing. It did have an ironing board but no cover for it! There was black mould in the shower...
