Dropped the ball
I booked this property in February for a family vacation in June. On the day of our vacation, I had not received any communication from the host with check-in information. I reached out to the host through the app to let her know we were on our way and would like the passcode for the property. When we arrived, we still had not heard back from the host, so I contacted VRBO customer service for assistance. The representative emailed me the check-in information and also contacted the host, who then reached out with the passcode. When we entered the property, it was not ready for us. The property had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Beds were stripped of bedding, laundry was piled on the laundry room floor and bathrooms. A customer service supervisor offered to have the property cleaned and ready for us, but we did not have time to wait for that, as it was already evening and we had small children who needed to be fed and to get ready for bed. I asked to cancel our reservation and to get a full refund. The host agreed to both.
