Thank you for leaving your thoughts regarding your stay and I’m sorry your experience did not live up to vast majority of all our other guests. We do send out several emails prior to people’s stays strongly recommending that if they would like to eat in the restaurant booking a table is advisable to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no space to add another table in the restaurant and we don’t serve food on the coffee tables in the bar area as these are far too low to be comfortable to eat at from the sofas. It’s not a case of not needing the revenue, it’s knowing what the maximum capacity of the restaurant and staffing levels are and not being greedy and trying squeeze extra diners in at the expense of other customers. I was present when you spoke to my wife about the insect and hair and her response was purely to ask what course of action you would like taken (I’m not sure what the exclamation marks are about?) and you requested the bed to be changed straight away which it was in less than 10 minutes. I would point out that during the extremely hot weather the bedroom windows had been open and that’s probably how the debris got into the room. I’m slightly confused about the dusty windowsill in the bathroom as there isn’t a window in the bathroom in the room you stayed in? In regard to the stairs and fire extinguishers needing to be cleaned, again I’m afraid that during the exceptionally hot weather we made a decision to leave as many doors and windows wide open as possible to help with air circulation and temperature control and unfortunately the drawback to this is that dust does come in on the wind. We also attract a lot of walkers to the hotel and sometimes they don’t take there boots off before they go upstairs.
