Vacation with Parents

It was wonderful!! We had such a nice stay and easy for my parents. My mother is legally blind and my father uses a walker. They were able to maneuver easily and appreciated the layout. My husband and I stayed in the guest house out back which offered us the opportunity to get a little peace and quiet ourselves. We can’t wait to come back!

Peace and quiet in the clouds

Came to this area on a mountain bike trip. When we pulled up, we were in awe. The home literally is on the edge of a cliff with the most beautiful view of valley below. Was happy sitting on large deck and doing nothing but enjoying the view. Will return.

Quiet oasis

This property is amazing! With the views, fire pit, sun deck it was a peaceful vacation. The area parks and trails were nice, especially Cloudland Canyon St Park. We also enjoyed a local drive in near Trenton, Ga.

Just the stay we needed

This was a most relaxing spot. The views were incredible and the naps in the hammock were chef’s kiss perfection. We enjoyed tooling around Sloppy Floyd State Park, and just hanging out at the cottage to curl up with a book on the Sun porch. All in all, a wonderful Father’s Day getaway.

The views are spectacular. The firepit was so enjoyable. The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated and we liked the convenience of the guest house. Wood burning fireplace was also fun.

Beautiful Birthday Celebration Getaway in December!

We took our 17 y/o daughter and best friends to Cloudland Retreat for her birthday. It was just what she [needed] wanted. The views are spectacular! The home[s] are clean, lovely, and well-stocked, and the beds are so comfortable. The girls were able to spend quiet time just hanging out reading, talking, eating, putting a puzzle together, and just being as we lingered most of our time at Cloudland. We ventured out into the cold to hike and see a little of Mentone [most things were closed] one day. Otherwise, we rested and enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint would be that, since we had such a bitter cold snap, the guest house was never warm enough. The upper split unit was not strong enough to keep the space decently warm. Each night we had a fire but that was not efficient enough to cover the cold air coming in above the fireplace, around the door, or underneath in the crawl space. However, it was nice to sleep with a fire, and snuggle up to try to keep warm in the comfortable bed. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We will probably be bringing our family back in the warmer months to be able to enjoy the wonderful deck, grill, and outdoor fire pit, as well.
