Staff quite helpful at check in and when retrieving from luggage storage. Hotel room was neat and tidy in general, the toilet flushing system was a bit defective and water would constantly flow after flushing and would need to press the flush button a few times to close the latch and stop the water from flowing into the toilet bowl Layout of the hotel corridors could be a little confusing

I like the Dorsett bcz of its convenience as relating to my particular purpose of visiting Melbourne (MICE). What I didn’t like was the surprise when I saw my Bank account debited in USD whereas I thought pricing was in AUD for Aus properties. Secondly my door did not automatically close unless with a bit of force. So when I checked in I was already surprised the door was ajar. And I was panicking when I returned after the first full day and again found the door ajar. Anyone could have gone in and taken my belongings. Staff were excellent in responding.

Like new.. very clean. Things i didnt like was No dining area Valet parking you need to chase him otherwise park your car on street ,hazard on.. why you pay then? No mini bars- fridge empty. Indoor swimmjng pool not heated.. so cool You pay for breakfast package. But if you want a good coffee, you need to pay otherwise, use a random coffee machine yourself. I went to cheaper hotels doing better than that.

Great location and wonderful front desk staff. The rooms were modern and clean. The only thing lacking was enough towels. The room had only 2 towels and the family room with 4 people also only had 2 towels.

Easy check in and check out. Valet parking was swift as well as leaving baggage at reception. Daily breakfast option is definitely worth the money. Rooms were well furnished and spacious, however we received a bit of noise from the building across the road as we were eye level with the roof exhausts of that building (North Side). We stayed for the F1 and my boyfriend was delighted that the hotel provided a ps5 and the f1 video game for people to use in the lobby while we waited for check in. Hopefully this can continue for future races. Great experience, wouldn’t definitely come back in the future.

To start with, the signage for the hotel is terrible and there is no information about where to go for valet parking. After driving past the hotel because we could not find it, I rang several times but was hung up on each time. Upon checking in I mentioned this but I got a blank look. I am not sure if there was a language barrier but the girl checking us in appeared to be totally clueless. I had booked a king bed room and she said I had been placed in a room with 2 double beds which I said was not acceptable as I had booked the room 10 months earlier. She did not mention breakfast which we later found out if you booked the day before was $15 cheaper. Gave me the key and didn’t bother to explain where lifts were. Rooms are dark and do not gave a welcoming feel. The bed was rock hard and pillows were awful. Went for the buffet breakfast the next morning and the pastries were empty and not refilled. There were 2 people cooking which clearly wasn’t enough. There were no eggs and the bacon was barely cooked. Very limited options. Upon checking out there was a long line with one person behind the desk. There was a 20 minute wait for valet to return the car and the valet guy was incredibly rude and abrupt. He looked liked he had walked in off the street with no identifiable uniform. Safe to say I won’t be returning.
