Ville de Melbourne : idées de séjour, infos pratiques et culturelles

Blue hour in Melbourne.

An extended holiday in Australia, or even living there for a little while, is still on my bucket list.

Until then, a business trip once in a while will do nicely!

Each season has its charm, and even though I like them all, autumn and spring kind of bring totally new perspective to the photographs. The first blossoms in spring gives us a feeling of joy. On the other hand, the warmth of the golden yellow hues of the foliage in autumn feels like the last explosion of colours before the arrival of the cold winter. And while the people in the Northern Hemisphere this time of the year are enjoying the nice warm weather surrounded by the colourfulness of the blossom trees, here in Melbourne the autumn with its golden leaves is slowly taking place.

This photo was taken near Melbourne CBD last Friday. I love how the yellow golden leaves on the ground create beautiful foreground, give us a feeling to be part of this beautiful golden autumn scenery here in Melbourne that I’m sure it won’t last for much longer.

I hope you like it.

St Patrick's Cathedral on a blue sky autumn afternoon in #Melbourne, Australia.
St Patrick's is a Roman Catholic minor basilica, built in the Gothic Revival style between 1858 and 1939.
The central spire is 105 metres high and the flanking towers and spires are almost 62 metres high.
The cathedral is a notable landmark on Eastern Hill in Melbourne. At night it is often illuminated and the interior decor is stunning.

The old Shot Tower inside the Melbourne Central complex in Melbourne, Australia.

Packed with shops, a movie theater and a subway station, the gorgeous glass cone structure has been built around an old shot tower, which was built in 1888 and produced six tons of lead shot per year right up until 1961.

It's a very cool place to explore and catch a glimpse of cosmopolitan Melbourne.
