The most UNSAFE and TERRIBLE hotel
I travelled to Marrakech with another friend and our experience with the Ksar Anika could not have been anymore terrifying as we have never been worried for our life when travelling until this incident. When we first arrived to Ksar Anika the morning of October 26th, the staff could not have been any nicer and welcoming to us. That night, we decided we wanted to stay an extra two nights in this hotel so we asked the only gentleman that was working and he confirmed this would be no problem and we could stay. The next morning around check out time, we received a call from the front desk requesting us to check out as they needed the room at 12:00 p.m. We were very confused to receive this call as we thought we confirmed our extended stay the night before. We met with the front desk and they were furious with us, telling us we were at fault and that the gentleman had no authority to approve an additional two night stay. Being hotel guests, we obviously do not have any understanding of who has authority over what and we told them we would stay at another riad. The staff then said we could stay in our room for an extra two nights but proceeded to offer it for double the price we originally paid. We declined this offer and requested a smaller room for our original price and they ended up just settling with our original price and current room we were staying in. They then requested “since they did us a favor by letting us stay we should return the favor to them at the end of our stay
Les plus: Absolutely nothing.
Les moins: 1. The whole staff could go through hospitality training 2. No more prostitutes coming and going as they please 3. More security 4. Documentation
Emplacement: The location is in the old medina, however, in an area prostitutes hangout and men wait around in groups to harass other women.
