The best bit about the stay was an excellent full English breakfast with superb scrambled eggs - that part gets 5 stars the rest was average other than good staff.

Basic, but staff friendly!
Basic surroundings, desperately needs updating. The staff were friendly and helpful but we got the feeling the pub was struggling. The room was tiny but clean, we were unable to open the bathroom window as it was broken. Hot tap needed a washer and dripped all the time. Beds were comfortable though. Note No parking so had to park in the long stay car park and keep feeding the meter. Not ideal!

Good size room but loud
It's a good location and staff are lovely, however it was very loud from the pub downstairs and we found it hard to go to sleep. We could hear the bathroom next door and our bathroom door didn't close in the room. Room was a decent size.

Would recommend
Although it is a pub it was totally quiet by 11.30pm. Very comfortable bed, probably the best sleep I have had for years. Very good breakfasts, continental for me & full English for my husband & certainly enough to eat. Very close to the High Street but still not noisy. Would recommend & hope to have a return visit.

Amazing weekend break in Marlborough.
We had an absolutely amazing time. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Good beer, fabulous breakfasts and Sunday roast was perfect. It's the perfect location for visiting the area. Our room was comfortable, clean and warm. Thank you for making us feel so welcome; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Lovely Inn - the proper way to see Marlborough
The Inn was a cracking place to stay. The bed was comfy, room was warm and had a great shower. The Inn itself had a lovely wood burner on and the food offerings were well received by the other patrons. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were excellent, always smiling and up for a chat. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!

Beautiful old building, lovely room. Shower room very small. Great breakfast. Only negative was they should tell you about live band when booking, the whole building was shaking!

Very quaint room with original features on the first floor of the inn, situated in the centre of Marlborough. Nice freshly cooked breakfast and friendly staff.

Good option
I enjoyed my stay at the Lamb Inn. The hosts were friendly and good location in centre of town. Parking a bit of an issue generally in Marlborough, but you can park in the street outside the hotel for 2 hours for free & anytime after 18.00 hrs Mondays to Saturdays. There is an overnight car park nearby, so not too bad.

Excellent friendly pub, very popular with locals. Food delicious, the Tapas was better than any we have had in Spain. Clean bedroom with comfortable beds & tea & coffee making facilities. Fabulous full English breakfast all served by professional friendly staff adhering to all Covid imposed restrictions. Would highly recommend. Marlborough is an up market Market town with a wide variety of shops & drinking & dining

Friendly lovely staff lovely room stylish and cozy. Prefer light preventing curtains but the bed curtains were a nice plus. Tres antique in style lived that. Defo stay again.

Would not recommend. Check in was frustrating - the member of staff who took us to our room didn't know basic information such as what time breakfast was. Bed was a double bed frame with a mattress, with an extra mattress placed on top of it which was wider than the frame! My partner almost fell off the bed. Terrible sleep - the radiator was clanging all night. There was a lot of mess and paperwork in the bar/dining area and random plants in the hallway to the bedroom. We also asked for some local advice and got a very blunt response from staff. Finally, breakfast wasn't pleasant. We were given a dirty cafetiere and the butter was dated 23rd December 2020!!! We also weren't asked what we wanted for breakfast, we were just given a full english and told "sorry i couldnt find any sausages, so i gave you an extra egg" - there was no question around dietary requirements etc. Won't stay again.
