« A lovely 3 night stay in the forest with all the noises you'd expect from the forest surroundings. an abundance of bird calls when sitting outside so relaxing.Alpine lodge exactly as described with comfortable beds well equipped kitchen. Excellent log burner kept the whole house cosy, even though we had lovely mild weather for our stay.Very clean and welcoming stay, highly recommend. »

« We brought our 2 teenagers (13 & 17) to Sandy Heights and had such a lively time. No wifi was a big draw card and the kids were engaged with us and explored and played games rather than staring at screens. The cabin was cosy and warm and had everything we needed. South Island Robins and Tomtits visiting each day was such a gift. :)Thank you again xx »

« We and our friends greatly enjoyed staying in this comfortable, well-equipped chalet with lovely alpine bush views in an area we had never been to before. Beds were comfortable and the woodburner kept us warm. Enjoyed birds serenading us by day and star-watching while soaking in spa at night. Loved exploring the alpine environment. »

« Loved our little dome. Plenty of room for 2, lovely shower, basic kitchen with stovetop and microwave. Heat pump with some restrictions because of the off-grid situation. The chance to have a lovely bath under the stars. Great cold brew coffee and cream. If youre not particularly mobile, it might be difficult walking to a couple of the domes. And if you can't face a composting toilet ip close, move on. However, we loved our night there. We left the curtains open and slept with the moonlit...

« When you arrive at this property you simply don’t want to leave! The cabin has the most special and unique feel to it with quality furnishings and appliances and the bath outside on the deck is spectacular (even in the rain!) We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here and our only regret is we didn’t stay longer! With no tv or wifi it was a great place to get lost in the serenity and away from the hustle and bustle of life and technology. This was one of our highlight stays in our 16 day tour...

« Wow! What a space! The drive up is rather intense and I wonder if maybe there should be a warning when booking like other spaces have? Otherwise it was almost otherworldly when we arrived in the thick fog and woke in the morning to wonderful scenery. Definitely recommend »
