« A very enjoyable stay in the pretty and quiet village of Badby. The house was just as described and perfect for our needs. Good little playground and cafe and pub a short walk away. In a perfect world the curtains in the bedrooms would have blackout lining (for the summer sunrises) and the dishwasher would be replaced as the racks are shedding rust, but otherwise a fantastic stay. »

« Great quirky cottage, excellent location for visiting Rutland. Fiona was lovely, excellent communication and we really appreciated the welcome pack of groceries - very thoughtful. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the peacefulness of the place. »

« This was a lovely little house. Very nicely decorated, very clean, great facilities and the host has done everything that they can to make you feel welcome. I didn’t know I wanted the hot chocolate but it was very welcome at the end of the day 😃 »

« Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent! »

« Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy. »

« We were all looking forward to our short Christmas break and we were not disappointed.. The cottage was easy to find and we had early access. The heating was on and everything looked cosy. Louise had left a hamper and a bottle of Champagne - thankyou The bedrooms were of good size and the beds were comfy with a bedroom downstairs with accessible bathroom which was for us invaluable. « We rented this house for my daughter's hen weekend the house was stunning in an amazing location with great facilities. We could not find fault with the house it accommodated 20 of us amply. All types of celebrations are catered for here from a formal dinner, to a party to a film night and even quiet relaxation in the pool and hot tub. "L'accueil a été charmant. Le hall de l'hôtel est très beau. Les lits sont confortables. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux il y a un trés grand choix. La proximité avec les grands axes est pratique. La piscine est top car nos enfants de 9 et 12 ans avaient pied partout c'est sécurisant. Les petits moins, le rideaux de la chambre sont vieux et sales. Il manque des chaines étrangères aucune chaîne française. Il manque de gel douche, savon et serviettes de bain pour 4 personnes c'était un peu juste. Proposer une serviette à la piscine serait sympa. Séjour agréable néanmoins. "
