A vacation to remember. Just a few minutes to white sandy beach. Walking distance. Our home is nestled in peaceful Marco. Near restaurants, shops, movies and ice cream parlor all within just a few blocks.

I love the Marco island area. That said, this property needs some serious work. 4 boxes of cereal lost on a specific counter due to the ant infestation. The pool level dropped below the skimmer on the 2nd day. The pool company couldn’t get there over the weekend. It was hard to sleep while listening to it suck in air just outside the bedroom (I know better than to tamper with a property’s systems. Something goes wrong and you’re liable for it all). The floors were filthy. 10 minutes in and my son’s feet were pitch black. You cannot use the front door because the lock is broken. Entering and exiting through the garage door only. The pitch of the driveway is insanely high, making access inconvenient to say the least. All in all, I was in 70-80 degree weather for the week of Christmas. That part was great. However, it is my opinion that they have no business charging what they do for this property.

Nice property

The property was nice and everything was clean. It was the perfect amount of space for a family of 4. Having the pool was fantastic and my kids loved it! Having beach accessories supplied was essential and much appreciated although adding an umbrella would be key. Plumbing seemed to be a bit of an issue - the main bathroom sink had only one handle that worked properly and the sprayer for the kitchen sink got stuck quite a bit. We were also asked to not flush any toilet paper so constantly having to remind the family to place their used toilet paper into the waste bin wasn't something I thought I'd be doing on vacation. Other than the plumbing issues we had a great stay.

Do NOT book this house unless you have confirmed with the homeowner that plumbing has been fixed. We were informed upon arrival that we would not be able to flush anything down the toilet (including toilet paper) . . . and spent our entire weekend running back and forth to the gas stations to do our business. The house was nice enough, with plenty of room, and a pool to use whenever we wanted, and fishing right off the dock in back. But it was not well equipped, as we didn't have a knife or cutting board for the pineapple we wanted to eat, or a pizza cutter either. We also had to go buy garbage bags and dishwasher pods, which we were told were supplied and were not. The location was great-just a 1/4 mile walk right to the beach, with restaurants and shops nearby. Just communicate and ask questions before you commit.

The location and heated pool are positives

The location allowed us to walk to the beach, dinner and ice cream. We enjoyed the heated pool. The property needs overall maintenance. Even though bathrooms were updated we had issues with maintenance of home.

Below Average Experience for 1 Week Stay

Let me start off by saying, you get what you pay for. This was a very reasonable cost for this house. However, it could have gone much better, regardless of cost of renting. Pros Close to beach Large heated pool Cons We had to call VRBO to get our information to access the house within two hours of check-in, stressful. HVAC went out (it was a bad breaker) for two days. This unit was not checked since 2021 per the technician (preventave plan, as they test the breaker and 100% would of caught this) Roaches, pretty much all over. We have been coming to Marco for 18 years, never had this issue. Once again, no preventive mainteance here either. I had to be at the house to for these appointments. The bug people I got notice from the owner 20 mins before they arrived, not the best planning. Never a note of text from the owner to apologies for any of this? The pots and pans should of been tossed years ago. The place itself is furinished, literally only one picture on the wall in the whole house. A two star is tough, but I really thought hard about giving more. I just couldn't convince myself to do so.

Incredible house! Super clean! Great location! Definitely would stay there again!

Absolutely no complaints about the property! Hot water heater was leaking and we had a hard time trying to get in touch with the owner. It didn’t effect our stay but we were worried about the damage it was doing to the home.

The location of the home was great. We could walk to the beach and lots of great restaurants and shopping. The house was beautiful. The pool was beautiful. The house is well suited for short term stays but not as well for long term. Nevertheless, my overall stay in Marco Island was magnificent.

Shelling paradise

Location was great. Few things that where not the island bar seats would not stay up, no table outside to eat, no gas grill only a charcoal who wants to mess with that( not us). And they were in the description and or pictures of property. Had to purchase a pan to cook in because the pans were not worthy of food. Told me we could keep the boat trailer in the yard if it was under 25’ nope 24 hours. Had a visit from the police about that and had to spend over half a day to secure a place to store it and take it clear out to 41 because it was such short notice nothing else closer. Had we known we would have pre reserved a rental spot. I have stayed in VRBO that were a lot less expensive that had much better comforts. Might be helpful if there maybe would be a suggestion book of places to eat and comforts that are close to the house. Where to park for the beach and activities like farmers markets. I gave the stay a 4star because of the location and the beds were nice.

Winter getaway

The place was great. We enjoyed our time at the house. If there was one thing I to say negative it was the pool guy came by in the middle of the week and set the pool to turn off at 5 and turn back on at 8 the next morning. I didn’t contact the owner but it would of been nice to have the keys running later in the evening and come on earlier in the morning. The first part of the week we really enjoyed getting up and getting in the pool and getting back in during the evening after we came back from the beach. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Look forward to coming back

Very clean 3/2 home. Lovely location on the inter coastal canal.

Only problems were related to non-functional electrical heat system x48 hours. We were wearing coats inside the home until HVAC technician was deployed by owner. Never able to use pool as too cold. Heat pump set to 104 by maintenance man with no increase in water temp during our stay. Went to a hotel and was able to use outdoor pool.

Great bang for buck!

Solid 3/2 on wide canal with pool and garage. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. House has all you need and couldn’t match the feel with any hotel stay. Looking to go back during the summer.
