Marco has almost everything you want. 3 grocery stores, 2 Walgreens, CVS, mini-golf, convenience stores, retail, and lots of restaurants, from casual to a fine dining experience. If going off-island, Walmart is just 7 miles north of Marco as well as Fresh Market, Aldi, Marshalls, Micheals, and others.

Close to Marco is the Everglades for an airboat ride experience and Indian alligator wrestling. A visit to Everglades City and Chokoloskee for some history of the area is also a plus.

To the north is the city of Naples with many attractions and history plus a Zoo, Theater productions and you shouldn't miss a trip down 5th Avenue and 3rd Street. There are various nature conservancies in the area to include Rookery Bay and Corkscrew Sanctuary.

The closest airports to get to Marco are Ft Myers (RSW) and Ft. Lauderdale (FLL). Miami is also a choice about 2+ hours away. If Allegiant Airlines are easily accessible to you, they fly into Punta Gorda which is one hour and 15 minutes north, and generally very good prices.
