About this space
Welcome to our ā€œTrout Creek Getawayā€, adorable 2 bedroom/2 bathroom creekfront cabin. Peaceful drive in surrounded by creek and mature hardwoods. Just steps away from thousands of acres of US Forest Service Property.
Two bedroom with one king bed, one queen bed and sleeper sofa in living area. Well equipped kitchen. Central AC and heat. Outdoor living includes a front and back deck with a brand new hot tub and fire pit overlooking the creek, porch swing and gas grill.
Relax and enjoy the peaceful getaway.
Beautiful drive where you will follow a creek up in the mountain. Creek is stocked 4 times a year with trout. Lots of wildlife including turkeys, deer, bears.
Downtown Murphyā€™s and Andrews are only 10 minutes away. Hiking, water rafting and
tubing are available just a short distance away. We border Georgia, NC and Tennessee and close to all they have to offer.

Direct TV, HIGH SPEED Starlink Wi-Fi internet are available, Cell Service is not guaranteed.
There is a 30 AMP RV plug at the shed area, if you travel with any time of camper that takes 30 AMP you can charge it at the property;

Please be aware seasonal weather may affect road conditions. 4 wheel drive is recommended in winter time.
Also please be aware that final 2 miles of road approaching the cabin is private gravel/dirt.

This property lives up to its name. We stayed in July 2023 and returned for June 2025 because we loved the cabin, location, and friendly locals whom made both our stays wonderful. The creek that runs along the road to the cabin holds rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Itā€™s so beautiful and peaceful. Cabin is very homey, equipped with everything you need, and clean. The perfect amount of privacy if youā€™re looking for peace and quiet. Walmart, Dollar General, and a gas station are nearby which comes in handy for groceries and such. We definitely plan on returning. Olga the owner is fantastic with her communication and Sandy who upkeeps the cabin, lives nearby and is so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Iā€™m ready to go back!! I miss it already.

My spouse and I enjoyed our anniversary trip. The listing was very accurate. The cabin was in a peaceful location and we only had 2 neighbors. The 3 mile dirt road was a little tricky at night. If there had been snow on the ground a 4x4 would have been needed. The thought process of everything we were going to need was on point. The only thing is there wasnā€™t a dishwasher which was ok for 2 guests. We will definitely book again this summer or fall.

This cabin is so cozy, we had a minor issue after checking in that was out of the host control but im only saying this because the host was on top of it. They had the issue fixed before we ever made it back from dinner! Great host and beautiful cabin !

The home was excellent and had everything we needed to cook in and all of the toiletries. It was very cozy. The hot tub was hot and clean! The host was gracious and easy to work with. The cabin was several miles off a narrow dirt road and there wasn't much to do around there.... The main concern was that based on the photos we expected a large fishing Creek in the backyard which did not exist. It's mainly just a home in the woods but if that's what you're looking for this is the place!

The cabin was clean and very peaceful. The stream flows way below the cabin, but you can hear it clearly early in the morning or in the evening. We enjoyed the hot tub and s'mores by the fire in the evenings! There are no trout anywhere in the creek, even at the pullouts on the road. Also, the neighbors go back and forth on 4 wheelers and trucks, and have created large ruts in the road leading to the cabin. It was even challenging for our 4x4! We have never stayed in a VRBO cabin/house where we had to haul away our own garbage. I would suggest lowering your cleaning fee if your cleaners are not taking care of garbage too. It is not fair to the guests to be strapped with the additional cost and the haul away.

This cabin was located in the perfect location for what me, my son and father were looking for. The creek that runs along the road to the cabin is absolutely beautiful and yes we caught a good amount of trout. I definitely recommend driving slow with windows down and enjoy the beautiful sounds the creek has to offer. The pull off spots are near some great fishing spots. I have a 4wd vehicle but Twas not needed whatsoever. The cabin was so cozy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with normal household items. Beds are comfortable and even the pull out couch was comfy. Hot tub was a huge bonus to the whole experience. We had a great variety of beautiful song birds visiting the feeders which was nice to relax and watch while hearing the creek nearby. The locals are very friendly but provide privacy. Iā€™ve stayed at several cabins and this one by far was my favorite. Felt home sick after leaving!! Thank you Olga for your wonderful hospitality and beautiful trout creek getaway. Will be booking again soon.

We arrived at the beautiful cabin and check in with ease. The directions given were spot on. We enjoyed the scenery, the hottub, the fire put, and the sounds of nature. Its the perfect place to get away if you just want to relax. Murphy is nearby, but it is a very small town with not many attractions. We did visit the farners market, antique shops, walked the river walk, saw the art gallery, and visited the brewery. I do wish the creek at the house was more accessible because we were looking forward to enjoying getting in. Overall we had a great time!

Beautiful cabin with a great porch. Jacuzzi is as already on and clean upon arrival. The owner even left 2 laundry pods for our use as well. Bedrooms were big and bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and soap available which was a nice touch. My son who is three was so excited over the books for kids that were there as well. Great stay and owner was quick to respond and accommodate. Roads were no bad at all. They are dirt so you just have a drive a little slower. It was a pretty drive with the creek running down along the road. The patio was private along with a great fire pit with chairs down stairs.

The place was clean. Beds were decent. Hot tub was nice! A little hard to find. For future guests, once you see Pounding Mill Rd sign, continue going up the mountain. Go between 2 gates (even the one with no trespassing signs). House will be on the right.
